I have bunions, ingrown toe nails, and flat feet. I had concerns about buying these shoes based on some of the reviews and the fact they were a bit over my budget, but I've purchased Arcopedico shoes before and loved them, so I thought I would take a chance with these as I needed good walking shoes for a trip to China and loved the idea of bringing one pair of comfortable black boots with inside zippers for easy removal that I could wear with my jeans or dress pants. I had absolutely no problems and was very pleased with them. One reason they are so comfortable is they are very thin and lightweight, and I was concerned that they might not provide enough support, especially because they also seemed to fit a bit loose. However, I remedied that by pairing them up with wonderful socks (Drymax Sport Socks Hiking Crew 4-Pair Pack), and together I had the support and comfort I needed to walk the city with absolutely no aches, no pains, no tired flat feet. In fact, on the flight to China, I removed these to put on the packaged slippers the airline provided, but I ended up putting these back on for the entire flight there as well as the return flight because they were more comfortable. My trip was 13 days; I wore these every day except one day of mountain hiking which required sturdier hiking boots, the only other pair of shoes I brought with me!

This is an interesting pair of boots. I have these in the washable black faux-leather. They have very little structure, and are very soft. The styling is incredibly simple. I am a 9.5-10 and the sizing is good - they can be worn with light or heavy socks. They really do feel like slippers on the feet. I would agree with other reviewers that the arch support is quite intense. The arch support feels a bit off in its position, perhaps a bit too far back for me, but it doesn't detract from the comfort. These boots are somewhat water-resistant. Great for city walking and air travel. I think they look pretty nice with leggings, cropped pants or tucked-in skinny jeans. It took me awhile to get used to these shoes but I'm glad I got them. They are comfortable and worth the money if you need a pair of lightweight boots.

I purchased the Arcopedico L19 for a 12 day trip to the UK. I planned to use them as back up shoes and they were so comfortable and so great-looking I literally wore them every single day! The fit was perfect from the moment I put them on. I have a bunion on one foot and there was no issue at all. The arch support provided the support my feet needed for daily walking. After continuous daily use, they still look brand new! These shoes are worth every penny!

This is, without a doubt, the best money I’ve ever spent on shoes. I have logged 2 weeks of winter travel in England and Germany and my feet have been warm, dry, and comfortable. I suffer from recurring heal pain and I have not experienced any on this trip. The only issue I had was the ball of the foot is not well cushioned, but good socks fixed that. No slip bottoms came in handy on wet pavement.

Sleek, jazzy and totally comfortable boots. I walked 2 miles in them the same day I took them out of the box. Very comfortable on the bunions too.

I just received my Arcopedico L19's today. Normally I do not write a review until I've had considerable time to evaluate the shoes, but, because I'm a HUGE Acropedico fan, I will go ahead. First of all, let me address the sizing issues which so many of you seem to have trouble with. My 'normal' size is an 8 but with Arcopedico's I ALWAYS get the 39. These were no exception. Secondly, the arch support is high in Arcopedico shoes. Always. You will get used to it and your entire body will thank you for it. This particular shoe is VERY lightweight and I have every intention of taking it when I travel. It's cute, comfortable, and will be easy to pack. But, most likely, I will wear them on the plane. I love the fact that the zipper is on this inside of the shoe. Plus it's machine washable. It doesn't get better than that. Considering how light the boot is, I certainly would not expect it to take me through the snow. I have more serious boots for that purpose. But given the fact that it's machine washable, I'm very confident that I can get from Point A to Point B in stormy weather and not have to worry. In addition, they come with a tag that states the material in the shoe has been laboratory tested establishing it to be slow to damage, no cleave, unstitch and no tear. Although not all my shoes are Arcopedicos; they are the ones I wear 95% of the time. By the way, I'm in my 60's, have bunions on both feet, but I love to walk! These keep me moving!

I have only worn these once, but decided to keep them. They have removable inserts and I was able to fit one of my thinner orthotics into them. They are stylish and although a little expensive, they are made from quality materials. I need flexible uppers with good support on the sole. These offer that. At first I thought that the heel was a little too high at 1”, I would have preferred a half inch, since I am seventy now and mostly live in my sneakers, and I wondered if the soles would be too narrow, but they have a very sturdy heel (will take impact) and the toe box does feel comfortable (no seams). My left foot is bigger than my right, so my right heel felt like it was slipping a little, but as I wore them to run several errands, I started not to notice it as much. I wore these with thin ankle socks and I suppose I could wear a thicker sock on my right foot. I wore them with my leggings and was able to tuck my leggings inside them, helping my right heel from slipping. Although I wear a size 6 slipper and sandal, I need a bigger size bootie, so I got them in a 7-7.5 size and the zippers allow easy on and off. I have not worn these in the rain so I don’t know how slip resistant they are. I live in a warmer climate so I don’t have to worry about snow and ice.

Had to return these cute boots because they did not fit. I am an 11.5 and the 42 says it will fit 11 to 11.5. No go. So I do not agree with other reviews that stated that these run large. Just not true. And too bad, they are cute, although they don't look like boots that should cost this much to be honest with you.

This is my second pair of Arcopedico L19 boots - the others, red, are two years old. I wear them more or less all the time, They feel as comfortable and soft as socks when they are on, yet the sole is very shock-absorbing. The material of which the uppers is made, which is not leather, is as pleasant on the leg as leather, not hot, but unlike leather it can be wiped off with a wet cloth and needs no special care or attention. I hardly worry about dirt or street stains. I wish I had these boots in a rainbow of colors.

This is my first pair of Arcos and I’m now obsessed. I suffer from planters fasciitis and the arch support in these are awesome. Felt no pain as soon as I put them on. I’m a true 8 1/2 and the 39 fit perfectly w a regular sock. The black leather is stretchy and super comfortable. The zipper is well placed, can’t feel it at all. Good tread on soles. I don’t want to take them off!

I just purchased these boots & the fit is awesome! I wear a ladies size 7 and I ordered the EU size 38. They feel so comfortable with a cotton sock. I am vegetarian & prefer to purchase non-animal materials (no leather). I am all set for my fall wardrobe now! Saving up to get a pair in brown!

Pros: Very lightweight. Cons: Material and construction look cheap, and they aren't! Synthetic material resembles cheap plastic.

Very light weight, cute boot. I just didn't like the way the heel is lower than the toe.

This is actually a P.S. to my review written in 2010: I am astonished at how great these boots continue to be in all ways -- comfortable as slippers and withstand rain and snow here in Germany.

I wore these boots almost every day for a month while being a tourist in Germany. They are extremely lightweight and I almost felt like I was wearing slippers. We did a lot of walking and hiking, and I have wide feet, so it isn't always easy to find comfortable boots for walking--these are very comfortable. I do wish this style would come in leather as well, and it would be nice if the sole had more cushioning. I've tried some of the Arcopedico leather styles and the arch support was never in the right place for my feet. I don't know how these shoes would do in a heavy rain; in a light rain, they are just fine.

These soft, supportive, machine-washable booties are my go-to travel shoes. They look stylish and appropriate with jeans, capris, yoga gear, and dresses. They are perfect on trails or pavement for hikes or walks. I now own SIX PAIR of these fabulous shoes in a variety of colors. I hope they last forever!! The size 39 fits my size 8 foot perfectly.

I'm embarrassed to admit how many pairs of L19 Archepedico boots I own. I buy a new color each year which tells you how much I love these boots. They are comfortable, I feel that I get excellent support, they are cozy and I love the colors. They're light as a feather so I can throw them in a suitcase and they don't weigh me down. I love my newest acquisitions--the leopard print and the black multi (Ok, I bought two this year. no judging!). I will wear them endlessly and enjoy them every time!

Love these boots. They feel like slippers. I have a very high instep and they do not bother me at all. I wish they were leather but since they look like leather, I can live with it.

I really loved this boot, and was very upset when both the sizes I tried did not fit. But, for some reason, the sizing on this style seems to be different than that of the other Arcopedico shoes and boots.

These little boots are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. It's like wearing bedroom slippers! They are even more comfortable than sneakers. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to pamper their feet.

I love these boots!
I already own these boots in black, and just received the brown boots. The color is a perfect rich brown.
Last year, I purchased the boots for a trip to France. One day it rained and I was pleasantly surprised the next day, when they were totally dry & didn't shrink or lose their shape.
To this day, they are in perfect shape. Super comfortable. I usually wear a size 8 or 8½, I bought size 39 (8½ to 9) and they are perfect when wearing with socks.
Very light weight. The perfect go to casual boot.

I LOVE this boot! My feet are completely “worthless” at this point in my life, so finding any shoe that’s comfortable, stylish, and supportive is impossible. Frankly, when I opened the box and felt how supple the leather was on these boots, I almost didn’t try them on, assuming they wouldn’t provide the support I need. But, despite having any of the usual obvious support features, these little boots give me what I need. And they are beautiful. I’m buying more!
