My wife loves the Bernardo Miami sandals! I purchased a pair for her when we were first married (1963). During the years, whenever my wife wanted white sandals she always tried to find the Bernardo Miami. No one seemed to carry them. For our 48th wedding anniversary I decided to see if I could find them again. I found Zappos and they delivered. My wife was thrilled when I gave them to her - she loves the Bernardo Miami sandals! The sandals are very well made and look great. Plan on getting her a pair of navy and a pair of red Bernardo Miami sandals. They may seem to be a bit expensive but you always get what you pay for. They are well worth the price.

Out of the box you can tell these are well made and worth the money. The padding of the foot bed is so comfortable. All that said, they made the heel so narrow that it sits on my foot crooked causing my heel to touch the ground. This to me is a huge oversight for what could have easily been my favorite flip flop.

So comfortable! Though they are not exactly flattering to the feet (they make the feet look wide). But such high-quality construction and materials. I am so glad I own these. They are the kind of shoes you will go-to every day. I normally wear a 7 1/2 and had to order an 8 in these.

I ordered this sandal in a full size larger as recommended in reviews. I may have been able to go only a 1/2 size larger but the fit is fine. Although the sandal seems wider in the forefoot than most, that is good for me. My little toes do not hang over the edge!! I ordered a leather flip flop for a few reasons. Synthetics make my feet hot and it's summer! The leather is comfortable and molds better to the foot. These Bernardo sandals are my new favorites.

I have been wanting a pair of black icon Bernardo's for years. After settling on various over priced, lower quality, sandals I finally purchased my first pair of Bernardo's and absolutely love them! They are stylish, classic, well made and comfortable. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up and very glad I did. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and the size 9 fits perfectly. I have a slightly narrow foot and the straps fit just right so if you have a wide foot they may need to stretch. I also can't say enough about Zappos customer service. I was originally shipped the wrong shoe which was disappointing because I was leaving the next for vacation and planned on bringing my new sandals. I called Zappos customer service and discovered the shoe I ordered that was on sale was no longer in stock. I decided on a different style even though it wasn't on sale and they shipped it to me overnight to my hotel where I'd be the next day. The customer service agent was very friendly and efficient. I'll be ordering another Bernardo style and color as soon as it is in stock.

I LOVE my Bernardo Miami sandals! They are just like the ones I used to wear when I was a kid. Growing up in Texas I spent a good five months out of the year wearing them, and yes, although they are a bit stiff at the beginning, they break in to fit your foot. If a flip flop can be considered elegant, then this is the definition of an elegant flip flop. Thankfully, they are still the same, sturdy construction that I remember, and beautiful craftsmanship. My only complaint is that the left shoe is ever so slightly looser fitting than the right, but even so, I'm keeping them. I did order two sizes, and kept the larger one. I would order a pair in every color if I could!

After 12 summers of heavy wear, my much-loved, go-to Miami sandals in bronze wore out...."Bronze" is sold out everywhere, so I went with the white/luggage as a replacement. Love them! I wear a 6.5 in almost all brands and the 6.5 in these sandals fits perfectly. Not sure why others find them to run small. Size 6.5 is 9.5 inches long and just shy of 4 inches wide (measurement taken on the outsole), if that helps.

The shoe was wide enough so that my little toe did not hang off the side. But I'm a 7.5 and I ordered a 7 (there are no half sizes). It was just a little to small. I should have ordered an 8. I would recommend that anyone else between sizes order up a size.

A must have. These are the best thong sandals. Order a size larger than you wear. I am a 7, but am 8 in the Bernardo Miami.

These thongs are great. I \r\nhave a pair of Bernardo\'s exactly like these in fuscia that I have had for about 15 years and am still wearing them. These are just as comfortable and the quality is still there.

Had heard this runs a little small so ordered the next size up. My regular size was also tight across my foot--take the advice so size up!

Super cute. Hopefully I won’t fall before the leather wears in. I love Italian leather sandals and simple ones like these. Very well made. I think the thong part pushes my toes back further than I’d like but maybe they will break in more as I wear them and much better than toes hanging over the edge. The color is barely on the pink side, more mauvy tan, but goes with my terribly white skin (and this is tanned)!

Beautiful classic sandal. Bernardo’s have always been well made and once broken mold to your footprint...and become my favorite summer sandal. Bought first pair in 1974!...and love the durability and classic look. They run a half size small, my chubby feet fit great on this style...all of my foot is on the sandal. Great classic sandal.

I have been wearing Bernardo Miami sandals for 40 years. I wanted these new Navy & white ones at Nordstrom, but, they sold out of my size by the time they went on sale. Even the Bernardo website was sold out of most sizes. I was happy to find them here at Zappo's, although, not as great of a sale. They look great with denim, navy or with white skirts or pants. You don't wear these for support or for rough terrain, you wear them because the are pretty, made of leather, and never go out of style. I suggest going up a half size.

My mom wore these for years in the 1960's when I was a child. They are still as beautiful now as they were then, and the quality of construction appears solid. How can I not wear them too? They may feel stiff at first, but like any quality leather product will undergo a break-in period the length of which would be determined by how often they are worn.

I've worn these shoes for 40+years. Always have loved these. Please note that this runs 1/2 size small.

I really like these sandals I think I will wear them often. They do run small, I am a solid 6 1/2 normally but after reading the reviews about them running small I ordered a size 7 and they are perfect...going a full size bigger would have been too much though.

This is probably the best sandal ever! I wore them many years ago, and began wearing them again a few years back. They are incredibly comfortable, and look great with anything from shorts to casual dresses. A truly iconic sanddal! I have them in many colors! Totally worth the money!

I love these sandals. I have already bought another color. They do not look like they offer any support but they are comfortable to wear all day, even for someone like me who has pretty flat feet. And they are great looking. I have the gold and the white and I will spend the summer in them. They run small so go up a size.

These shoes are so comfortable! I usually have to break in shoes and not these. From the first time I tried them on they felt like a pair I had already broken in. Wish they had more colors. I would definitely order more.

I ordered this shoe to go with a dress & because of the good reviews. I ordered a size 10M (no wide sizes available). This shoe is okay, but nothing to write home about. There is no padding in the foot bed so not that comfortable. In the 10M my heel was right at the edge, so you probably need to order up a size. I returned this shoe as it just wasn't that great.

I grew up wearing Bernardo in the 70's and 80's. So happy to see this style widely available again.

Can't sing Zappos.com praises enough! After ordering these Bernardo flip flops (that I love so much I've ordered them in 7 different colors!). I quickly realized I ordered the wrong size. I looked up the customer service number on the website and called in hopes of stopping the order. The lady was so helpful with correcting my order to the right size and offering me a special shipping. I couldn't stop smiling. I actually made a Facebook post about how awesome I thought Zappos.com was. Getting my favorite shoes the next day was bonus!

My favorite sandals are Bernardos. They give work with just about everything that's casual nice. They are not cushy, and sometimes the leather bottoms are slippery, but somehow they are very comfortable. I'd get them in every color if I could.
