I bought these shoes for my 91 yr.old Father whose has two foot issues; his feet get swollen and he gets sores that don't heal. These shoes have been a godsend! They are adjustable across the front and back and because they are soft, they don't rub anywhere. He can even get them on himself.

Bought these for my husband who has troublesome feet. He said they feel very comfortable on and loves the heel adjustment as well as top of the foot for width. The insert does not have much of an arch support so we will most likely purchase another insert at some point. These shoes do not make his feet sweat like many shoes do, the material is not scratchy and is soft feeling. The sole is sturdy enough for walking outside. Recommend to anyone who has been searching and trying many pairs of shoes to find a pair that does not cause pain, sweating, etc and can accommodate swollen feet when need be.

These slippers I ordered for my 82 year old father, he has wide feet, and swollen feet and ankles. This is the only pair that finally worked for him because he can adjust the back of slipper and also the top where toes are. His feet also are large and fit. Highly recommend if you don't mind spending the price. It is worth it.

I bought these slippers for my 88 year old father. I had a hard time finding slippers that he could easily slip on because his feet were swollen. These slippers worked out perfectly. They open up so we don't have to fight to slip them on. This is his second pair.

This is the second pair we’ve purchased for our father in the last four years. He wore the first pair to threads. He wore them everyday for almost four years. These shoes are wonderful! They’re very well made, very comfortable, and keep his feet warm. They’re just perfect for his swollen feet, and easy for him to put on and take off.

These slippers were exactly what I was looking for. They are well made, comfortable and very sturdy. Mine were true to size and this are also adjustable over the top of the foot and along the back through velcro strips. They are a little heavier than I expected (due to the very sturdy rubber sole) but I have gotten used to that.

Purchased these for my 93 yr old Dad. He has a toe injury. The velco openings allow you to get foot in without touching injured toe. He loves them and is very happy with the slippers. These are perfect for foot proplems. I would recommend.

My elderly parents both have severely swollen legs and feet. We have tried so many different shoes without any luck. These are amazing! They look attractive for men and women. Shoes can be adjusted as needed each day depending on how swollen feet might be. Velcro straps are long enough. Footbed is removable so you can put other inserts or cushions in there. Measurement chart seems to be accurate. Happy happy!

After a deep vein thrombosis my husband has been using these slippers which are perfect for two different width feet. His "bad foot" suffers very little getting in and out of these slippers.

Some months ago, right after my husband had a DVT, I had ordered a pair which was a life saver. His foot having returned to almost normal, I ordered this new pair half a size smaller. He loves them, they are comfortable and easy to get on and off.

I bought these slippers for my 87 year old father. He is currently in a rehab unit recovering from a broken leg.His feet are swollen and these slippers just fit him perfectly. This is the only slipper that will go on his feet without binding his arch. The material that they are made of are very soft with a semi hard bottom. The velcro on the side opens up that the person can just place their foot in the slipper instead of pushing it in. There is also a velcro strap in the back for extra adjusting. He takes a 9W so I ordered him that size. They are true to size and width. He can't stop talking about them and how comfortable they feel on his feet. His physical therapist even wants to get a pair for his tired after being on them all day. I highly recommend these slippers to any one who has swollen feet and can not slip into a regular slipper.I'm sure you will love them as much as my father does. The Foamtreads Physician were for my husband, who has osteoarthritis in the ankle, as well as on and off toe ulcers caused by neuropathy, also due to the arthritis. His regular shoes no longer worked for him, even his Mephisto sandals, which only rubbed his feet and caused more ulcers. I took a chance on ordering these, and they have worked so well for him. He can even wear them outdoors when the sidewalks are dry. I followed Foamtreads' advice on measuring the foot and buying the size they recommended, and it worked. He wasn't sure what his foot size was any more, so I can't say if they were true to size. They come in a wide width to accommodate swelling and conditions like his, but as his foot has become less swollen, they can be secured by the Velcro in the back. We are so happy with these shoes.

These are for my husband, who has very bad non-specific neuropathy in his feet and frequently has pain. The ability to be able to adjust them both on the top and in the back is great. He’s able to adjust for his feet depending on how his feet are feeling each day.

Ordered these slippers for my 94 year old Dad who has peripheral neuropathy and edema of both feet but is ambulatory with assist of a cane or walker. They are easy for Dad to get on and off as well as adjustable depending on how much edema he has. Dad says they are cozy, supportive and is very happy with them. Not the most stylish look but they are slippers and Dad only wears them in his Assisted Living apartment, not to the dining room or activities.

These are really wide - with velcro across the arch, can adjust to just right. I have very high arches - plenty of room to slip these on and off. Anyone with wide feet will find these to be fantastic! Very very comfortable! Heel is flexible, and if you want slipper like quick on, you can just fold down the heel and slip 'em on. This is my 2nd pair - wear them daily, all day (retired puttering around the house everyday if not on the golf course). I bought first pair last year, tread/heel starting to wear out, so got a 2nd pair while on sale. Probably have another 3-4 months left on first pair before the tread will be gone.

These shoes were for my 97 year old uncle with swollen feet who was having trouble..lots of trouble...putting his shoes on. The ability to adjust the top and the heel with the velcro tabs made them very easy to adjust a bit so they fit well and are comfortable. My uncle was very pleased and the can be worn outside with the rubber sole.

These slippers are fantastic! If you feet are occasionally swollen for whatever reason, the adjustability for heel tightness and width is just terrific

Kinda clunky old geezer looking (reason style marked as 3 stars), but the ability to adjust with velcro across the arch and around the back of ankle makes this perfect!!! Feels just a tad longer than typical; very wide. Great for high arch and wide foot.

Bought these shoes for a tall, female relative that wears a size 14 wide shoe, which is difficult to find. She is elderly and has chronic foot/leg problems including neuropathy, swelling,varicose veins, and overall poor circulation. Purchased these in 12 W. The ability to adjust both the width of the front of the shoe and the ankle made these a "perfect" fit after years of making do with too narrow and uncomfortable men's shoes and way too small ladies shoes. Her physical and occupational therapists were so impressed that they wrote down all the information about the shoes so they could share it with their patients. Zappos free shipping and returns, plus the reasonable price of the shoes was another big plus. I would not recommend these shoes if you need a lot of support, extensive walking, or for walking around in bad weather. I think they will work perfectly for quick shopping trips, walks to her dining room and activity programs at her senior living facility, and for trips to her doctor.

My 87 year old dad wears these awesome slippers every day. He even wears them out to doctor's appointments. They adjust to his feet perfectly with Velcro on each side of the foot and at the heel. I think they'll be really warm too, with colder months ahead. We ordered them in his true size and they fit wonderfully.
