Great for people with problems with weight distribution on the ball of the foot. This is the only shoe that relieves this problem. It actually distributes my weight across the whole foot. No orthotic ever worked for me because of my extremely high arch. The toe bed in most shoes were not deep enough for me. I was told I could never wear a tennis shoe but these work so well just because it takes all the pressure off the ball of the foot. I might add that I had to go 1 size from my normal size in these shoes. As for the instability I have had lower back problems for years but I can walk well in these.

I work in a factory and suffer from plantar faciitis. I have had 2 surgeries on my left foot and a bone spur removed from that same foot. My Dr. would only let me return to work if I wore these shoes. I wear only these shoes! I haven't had on a pair of heels for 2 years. The lateral support is excellant. The cushion to the arch and support for the rest of the foot is excellant, also. I highly recommend this shoe.

I am a server and am also in culinary school. Both require me to wear slip resistant shoes, and these are the best ones I have ever had. I'm not so sure about the toning power, but they definitely do force you to walk correctly. When you're on your feet all day like I am, it is such a relief not to have the lower back pain when you get home. Plus, I'm short and they make me taller! I can finally reach more! These are a great investment if you have to be on your feet all day.

This is the best shoe I've ever tried. My legs and feet was always achy when I got home from work, but these shoes help my feet all the way up my back. I recommend these shoes to anyone who's on their feet all day.

I love these shoes. I had some other brands of the "shape ups," but they were weird and hard to walk in. I wear these all over the house and for walking the dogs. My legs never get tired, and they make me stand up straight. I am considering buying another pair, just to make sure I have a back up supply. Honestly love these shoes: they're made well and worth every penny.

I have a pair of these in white so already knew that I needed a full size larger than what I normally wear. These are very comfortable and I wanted the black specifically for wearing on a trip that I know we'll be walking a lot. It's also a more formal area so didn't want to wear my white ones. You do feel yourself walking taller/straighter and gives your core and legs a good workout. I like the cushioning it gives my knees and hips.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended this shoe to me after surgery. My inserts fit well and the support they offer make them as easy to wear as the far more expensive orthopedic shoes that were specifically for me!

I bought these shoes 2 years ago, and have tried to get used to them. They feel very comfy at first, but then cause pain on the top of my foot, right near my ankle. I now have tendinitis in both ankles. And yes, I did as recommended and only wore them for short periods of time, trying to work my way up to my full 9 hour shift as a bartender. I've had them 2 years & they still look brand new.

Skechers shape ups are the best sneaker I have ever found. I hope they never go out of style it helps my legs and feet so much.

The best shoe in the Skechers that I have -- it really helps with the legs and buttocks. I could walk forever in this shoe and thanks for Zappos for having this shoe.

I adore these shoes. I have had foot problems for years; would be in great pain after being on my feet for a very short period of time. With these, I am able to be on my feet for extended periods of time. I particularly have a problem with shoe that force my weight (because of any heel height) to be pushed forward on to the balls of my feet. With these shoes, I am able to put the weight on my heels and relieve the pressure on the forward part of my feet (which get the most pressure). I have had several surgeries (before I "met" Skechers) on my left foot. I sincerely wish that Skechers had been around before I had the first surgery; I am sure I would not have had to have any surgeries at all. I love to walk and hike and now am able to do so. Thank you, Skechers, for giving me back my life!

Several years ago I injured my knee and it took its time healing. As a single mom, there was no time for pain. For two years I could barely walk and each night I suffered while my knee throbbed from the pain of use during the day. I started wearing Skechers Shapeups and gradually noticed my pain level decreasing making it easier for me to move around and sleep. Four years later I will wear no other sneaker! I can keep up with my children, run up and down my stairs and get in and out of the shower like everyone else. This true has truly given me my life back. I can only assume the curvature of the shoe absorbed the shock to my knees from everyday wear and tear.

I love these shoes! I buy a new pair every 6 months without fail to ensure my feet and back don't ache! They're the best I've found! Had to buy a half size larger than normal but it's worth it.

These are great work shoes! I wish I had these 20 years ago. I have been a bartender for a very long time and am on my feet for long hours. Now that I have these my feet and back does not hurt. They are very comfortable. I highly recommend them.

I have a long history of low back pain with DJD and herniated discs. After 2 weeks of wearing Shape Ups, I have had absolutely mo pain! I have not taken a pain pill for my back in 2 years. Thank you so much, Skechers!

I tried these (in white) last year when the price was acceptable to me. I wasn't sure I liked them at first, but the more I wore them, the more I realized that they were forcing me to walk correctly. These are the only workout shoes I will ever wear! They have fantastic support--I tried another brand and was bitterly disappointed. I like them in black better because they don't get so dirty!

I am on my feet every day at work for 8 hours. I also had a new knee put in my left leg in 2010, & the Skechers Work Shoe has been a Godsend. My legs don't hurt at the end of the work day. I go in & out of big freezers for food supplies all day long & never fear about slipping with the slip resistant soles. Oh yes, I also wear Shape Ups, non work shoes for everyday wear, could not be more pleased. Oh yes, their quick shipping is terrific. I wear these shoes at work! I walk constantly and find them to have the comfort and support I need in order to handle two jobs back-to-back, five days a week, with no leg or foot pain!

I am extremely happy with this shoe. I already owned a similar pair for a year and have worn them most of the time when I'm out walking. I'm glad to be able to find the same quality and comfort in this shoe. In addition, my experience in dealing with Zappos was excellent. I originally ordered the Skechers Work Shape Ups XF SR - Register and found them not as comfortable due to the style of the lacing. Rigid bumps on the underside of the lacing pressed into the tops of my feet. However, I followed Zappos procedure for returning the shoe and accepting a store credit for my re-order. This all happened so easily and quickly, I just had to smile when I received my next pair so quickly.

I love these shoes! I have had problems with my feet for years and couldn't be on them for more than 10 minutes without debilitating pain. Now I can be on my feet for much longer and can even plan on being able to go for a walk! And Zappos is great! My order came within a short time. I will definitely do business with Zappos again!

Very comfortable shoes. I have tennis shoes shape-ups and hated when I had to put my work shoes on to go to work. I was so excited when I found these. I've had them for a couple months now and they are great. They are definitely no slip, though, and they squeak on the floor when you walk, but your back will be grateful.

The sole is so thick, I felt a little like I was on stilts. I might have become used to them, but the leather (very sturdy) was unforgiving over my bunion.
