These shoes are great. I am so glad Birkenstock finally designed a cute shoe. Now, if they’d only design a cute winter boot with the classic footbed, I’d be set. I was worried about the soft foot bed on these because I’ve only had the classic footbed. It took a little bit to get used to and I was afraid they wouldn’t be firm enough to provide the correct support, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are super comfortable. I even wear them on my stair stepper at home because they provide such great support and comfort. I highly recommend these shoes. I have a really hard time finding shoes that support my feet and my back, knees, neck, hips etc. Birkenstocks are the only shoes I can really wear. I had to buy one size bigger than I wear in the sandals since these are shoes.

I ordered the Paris shoes looking for a closed-heel shoe similar to my pair of soft footbed suede Boston clogs, which I love. My Boston clogs are 41Narrow, so I ordered the same size in Paris shoe. As pictured, the shoe doesn't look very cute. I tried it on with straight leg jeans, and they looked great. The Leather is very substantial/thick and seems durable. The shoe seemed a little tight, however, while walking/bending my foot. It wasn't too narrow from side to side; it was too thin from the sole of my foot to the top of my foot. If you have a thin and narrow foot and are looking for a great low-volume shoe, this is it. I wasn't sure how the thick leather would stretch, so I returned them. I would have kept them if they were suede and had a little give. Bummer, because the footbed was so comfy. I guess I will stick with the Boston clogs.

This is without a doubt the most comfortable and wonderful looking shoe I have ever owned. It's hard to choose other shoes to wear when these are waiting in the closet. I see there is no mention of later availability of my size in this style. I am begging Birkenstock to continue making them!

Wonderfully comfortable but runs small. I ordered my usual size and my toes touched the top and ends. I returned them and ordered the next size. Perfect!

I am in love! I ordered my usual Birk size and they fit perfectly. They are comfy right out of the box. Wore them around the house for a few hours and then around town to run errands and there was no break in period! I bought some brown smart wool socks so they would match the shoes and they are both so comfy together. Great fall/winter shoe!

I love my Paris soft footbed by Birkenstock. The shoe felt a little big at first and had a different feel than a regular shoe but I am glad that I gave them a try! I am on my feet all day chasing after preschoolers and with plantar fasciitis and arthritic toes these shoes have been a great help! I have also gotten many compliments on their appearance. They are very cute.

I ordered this shoe as soon as I saw it. The color "Habana" is a deep mahogany brown. I was looking for a Birkenstock soft footbed shoe that was not a clog style to take along to my upcoming trip to Cuba and with a color like "Habana," this is perfect. Very comfortable and nice looking, too. Birkenstock shoes do not need to be "broken in;" they are comfortable right out of the box. I have a Morton's neuroma on my left foot and need a wide toebox and good arch support. These shoes are more comfortable than my custom orthotics!

Best Birk ever in my opinion! Super cute with jeans and so comfortable! My thanks to the reviewer who noted that there is less depth between the footbed and top of shoe. This was just right for me as sometimes the clogs like the Boston are too roomy and loosen up as they get worn. I can walk forever in these and no worries about them slipping off. I would buy more but my size (37N) is all sold out; hope Zappos gets more in later. Love the soft footbed and Zappos service!

I fought keeping these shoes because I was set on finding some trendy boots for my upcoming trip to Europe and India. I ordered no less than 8 pairs of boots, every size and shape and I kept going to back to these. I've owned many pairs of Birks over the years and they aren't pretty or sexy but these do have a more feminine look than others. You can't beat the comfort of these shoes!

These are the most amazing Birks! I love the soft footbed in any of the styles, how can you beat the added comfort of the already amazingly perfect Birkenstock footbed? I always check to see if the newest styles are available in the soft footbed and am disappointed when the answer is no!

I purchased these shoes about three months ago and absolutely love them! These are the third pair of Birkenstocks that I've owned. My first pair, the London clog with felted wool, were my absolute favorite pair of shoes but within two years I had completely destroyed them. I would've purchased the same pair again, but alas, Birkenstock stopped making them with the wool upper. I was iffy about whether or not I should buy these shoes, but I'm very glad I did. I agree with the other reviews that for Birkenstocks, they run a tad smaller than usual. The width is perfect but I should've sized up after my toes pinched a bit. They did stretch out a bit but I'm still somewhat limited in the thickness of socks I can wear (with my old clogs, I could wear super thick wool socks, which I liked). Also, these shoes work well in mild temperatures, but I can see them being too hot to wear in the summer and too cold in the winter, depending on your climate. I live in Wisconsin where winters are bitter cold and snowy, and summers can be hot and very humid. That being said, if I don't have to walk through snow or stay outside long I still like to wear these (even in December!). I get compliments on them all the time, paired with wool socks, leg warmers, leggings, skirts, jeans, dresses, or just about anything. They're easily dressed up or down. They're cute, comfy, and not frumpy at all! I highly recommend!

Love these shoes! I've been a Birks fan for many years, and was excited to see them come out with a "real" shoe for winter wear. This one is perfect. I like that I can adjust the strap to accommodate either lightweight socks or warm heavy socks. The leather almost looks like suede, but is actually not -- nor does it have a shiny surface -- just right! And the soft footbed is amazing. Birks are already the most comfortable shoe on the planet, but this soft footbed makes it extra-special. I ordered my usual size (36 R) and have enjoyed wearing them every day, right out of the box!

These shoes are dorky-looking, but if you have that kind of style, they are amazing! You can wear them with or without socks, and they go with pants or skirts and you can walk home if you miss the bus without getting blisters or having your feet hurt. No other shoe offers this combination of functionality while still blending in with most outfits. I don't have to dress up for work, and I began wearing them almost every day after I got them. I have very high arches, walk a lot, and can't tolerate Converse or the ballet flats or loafers that most girls wear every day.

I have several pairs of Birkenstock shoes but these are the most comfortable. the arch support is perfect and the shoe goes with most of my clothes. when I first got them the buckle was a little hard to use but is fine now. wish they came in more colors.

Excellent quality shoe, unfortunately it felt way too short. I can fit a Dansko and Arcapedico size 42 narrow perfectly but this 42 felt too small.

I was worried that the soft footbed might be different than traditional Birkenstocks in terms of support but they are great, just as supportive. Very comfortable to wear from the beginning.

I love Birkenstock's because of the cork footbed and was a bit concerned that the soft footbed wouldn't be as nice. Honestly, I'd probably be happiest with the original footbed, but I was encouraged by reading about the new footbed on the Birkenstock site that it still has the same core integrity as the original, but just with a little soft layer on top of it. The shoe fits as Birkenstock usually do, so no need to change size with the soft footbed. I love the style of the shoe, and am happy with my purchase.

These shoes are perfect for my mortons neuroma! I have no pain. The insole is great. They provide perfect arch support. The toe ridge on the insole is a smooth support that keeps my toes in the right place. The toe box is roomy. The heel cup is perfect. I wear the narrow width. It took a day for my feet to form to the footbed but now I can wear them all day long! I love Birkenstocks. Please make more boots and more shoes! Our Birkenstock representative does not even carry these in his store. So I now order all my Birkenstocks online! The soft footbed is fantastic! I wish that I would have order them sooner. So much better than the regular hard footbed!

Great shoes. Love the quality and comfy casual style. I needed to order a size bigger in order to have it comfortable but they still didn't look too big on my feet.

I'm very happy with these shoes. I have found that Birkenstock's were the most comfortable shoes I own while healing from a flare-up of Morton's Neuroma. The shoe is roomy and supportive as well. This brown color is very dark and goes with even black clothes.

I have bought so many shoes over the past few months trying to find comfortable shoes for my hard to fit feet, I finally decided to give these a try as I had just about exhausted my choices. I wish I had started here first. They are amazing. my feet and back do not ache when I get home from a long day out, they look fine with jeans or a skirt with tights and a sweater. I am very thankful that I was able to find these in my size!

These are the most comfortable shoes! I have foot issues and Birkenstocks are the only ones I can wear without pain. I want them in every color! I'm getting used to the looks: pretty blocky, but I'm going to make them fashionable!

I have flat feet, and nerve pain in some of the toes. I am looking for comfort. I have always loved Birkenstocks because they definitely deliver, and this shoe continues the reputable history. The leather upper is a little hard, which I was worried about upon trying them on; however, with socks, I do not encounter any discomfort. I think blisters might develop if worn without socks. The soft footbed is a great addition to an already immensely comfortable shoe. However, I think the added cushion definitely adds bulk to the shoe. I wear these with slacks and jeans. They are not dainty, but they have a cute factor to them with the t-strap effect. The sole is a little lifted up front, which gives the shoe a rolling effect when walking. It kind of reminded me of the Dansko in that manner. I would for sure purchase these again, and I know they will only get better with time.

I didn't think these would fit. My feet are narrow, I have high arches, and wearing Birks was always out of the question for me. But these come in narrow, and they fit perfectly. And, even more, they show off my collection of colorful handknit socks. I recently wore them all day every day while on a three-day retreat at a monastery with no discomfort whatsoever. I routinely wear them when singing in the church choir where I am on my feet for at least an hour at a time, three times a week, and sometimes on a concrete floor. They provide a solid base and let me forget about any foot or leg discomfort that activity might bring. My only quibble is that the toe box is a little big and not too roomy on the inside, but big on the outside and it took me a little while to get comfortable with that and stop worrying about tripping over it. Now, though, they are my go-to shoes when I have to walk the dog... at least until the snow starts piling up here.
