Buy these shoes! They are very light and comfortable, fit perfectly and are flexible.

Great shoe - Great shoe; probably the most comfortable sneaker I've found to date. The only minor comment I have is that the laces are very thin and it's hard to pull them tight. Often I found they slipped a bit out of the slide lock and need to be readjusted after some wear but overall I LOVE this shoe.

Great shoe for the summer months - trekking around in and out of water. Material is a little tough so takes some breaking in.

Worked great! Used these shoes when we climbed Dunns River Falls in Jamaica. They were great except for pebbles getting in and staying. Couldn't have asked for a much better pair of shoes. Later that day I had put my sandals on and was carrying my Techamphibians and locals kept coming up and asking to buy them from me!

Good Design - I got the sand/cane/cappuccino - love the color and the waterproof non-leather construction. I usually wear a 7 and the 7 is at least a full size too large. Out of 6s for now, but will try again if the 6 becomes available. They seem pretty comfy except the long tongue sticks into the front of my ankle; hopefully that will go away with a smaller size. They have a removable insole. I need shoes like this for a Costa Rica biking, hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling trip.

Great for pool therapy, pool exercise - I purchased these shoes (advertised for water use) to use while undergoing physical therapy in an indoor pool. They work very well for that purpose. It would be better if they had an arch support. They are rather flat in that area. Everything else about them is great. I tried them while boating on the lake. Sand entered the mesh sides very readily, making it unpleasant. I would use them in the pool only. They would make good gardening shoes unless you plan to be in loose sand or dirt.

Great shoes, not perfect. These are great all-purpose shoes. I wanted a shoe to wear on my adventure vacation in Belize. I wore them hiking, jogging, snorkeling, river tubing and climbing Mayan ruins. They are most comfortable with socks. Without socks, I get blister on my heels. Be sure to wear these in before you use them - If I hadn't my feet would not have been in good shape. They are true to shoe size, not sneaker size. I am a true 7.5 and they fit me perfect. They dried really fast and I could wear them everyday without them being damp. They seem to be slip-resistant as I never slipped while hiking over wet rocks. I also like that you can step on the heel and wear them like sandals. I bought the cerulean blue color and they are beautiful! Overall, a great multi-purpose shoe if you want to pack light.

Salomon Techamphibian - Overall a good shoe. Will have to wear with wool socks to accommodate size, but I bought these for cold water boating so that's okay.

Walking on air - This sneaker is really comfortable, but especially lightweight. The only drawback is the way the lacing works...which is a bit awkward to operate, at least for me. And then where do you put this drawstring? I just tucked it under, but maybe there's a better way?

Great looking shoe. Overall the shoe is very comfortable, but lacks arch support. I was looking for a shoe that I could use for running on the beach, and get wet. It was not a great shoe for this purpose, because the mesh let the sand through. Also, the back of the shoe rubbed against my heel when I got my feet wet. I adjusted the heel strap and that made a difference. I love the look of the shoe, and it is very comfortable, just not ideal for the beach/sand. I normally wear between an 8/8.5 and got the 8 after reading the reviews. Adjustments made the fit perfect. Very comfortable. Would've given 5 stars overall if it had better arch support. I do recommend this shoe.

Good for hikes - I wore these for my eco-adventure honeymoon and they performed fairly well--comfortable without socks, great traction on loose or slippery rock, and maintained fit. My big complaint, though, is that although this is an "amphibious" shoe, once I'd gotten it wet, it took more than 24 hours to dry! It's definitely not as comfortable when wet, as well.

Minimal break-in time, delivers as promised - I have a hard time breaking shoes in, and wide feet that hate being squeezed. I was careful to wear this shoe with socks for a few days--when I took a chance and wore it barefoot; it made a small chafe on one of my toes, which for me is very minimal new-shoe damage. The shoe was stiff at first but stretched nicely after about 2 days. Wonderful breathability and lightness; I wore these constantly when traveling, including one three-mile hike in high desert, and my feet stayed cool and comfortable. The toggle is more fiddly than some, and the back strap is also difficult to thread, so it's not as easy to adjust as you might think, but still workable. I do wear these as slides sometimes, which is a nice option, but the heel flap is not really comfortable enough underfoot to make this more than a convenience when you have to slip something on fast for a short time. I'd certainly buy these again. I got the very neutral sand/grey/cappuccino; now that I know I like them, I'd get one of the cool colors as a second pair.

Great Work Shoe - I bought this shoe for my wife from Iraq. The recommendations from others helped me size the shoe perfectly; they run a half size up. They are comfortable and practical-not to mention the great look. I will be buying her another pair in a different color. These shoes are a terrific buy!

Salomon's Techamphibian Clay/Grey - Super look, light, great design, I loved them at first! Unfortunately after 10 minutes of indoor wear, the area above the base of right great toe became extremely painful and I noticed a red dent in my skin. Nothing to trim, the whole seam was solid hard. I wanted these so bad for my canoe trips, but I have to return them.

Great shoe with lots of versatility - can be used in the water and out. I've been using it to train for a walking marathon. There was one hot spot on my left foot smaller toe - I found the area of irritation, a seam in the shoe, and was able to clip it off. I like that you can adjust the backs or squash them down and wear them as mules. I have another pair of Salomon's so I am accustomed to the pull tab laces. I like that you can tuck the tab in the flap and they are out of the way.

Techamph - This is my second pair of Salomon's Techamphibians and I think they are great. They can be worn in the water, or as a slide, or just as a casual shoe. I really think they are great!!!

Mostly comfortable - The shoe fit very true to size. The interior of the shoe has some very rough edges and they tend to scrape on the foot. If these edges (seams) were trimmed closer or stitched in, the shoes would have earned an overall 5. That is the only complaint I have.

Salo-Tech - I purchased this shoe for my outdoorsy activities, specifically a camping trip. I wanted something that would give me enough traction on a trail without too much weight and then allow me to hose off all the dust and junk when I got back. They definitely didn't let me down. My nice blue and silver shoes were pretty much red and brown when I returned but a quick hose-down brought them back almost to newness. Although they are incredibly comfortable, I would have liked them to stay a little tighter in the laces across the top. Maybe a half size down would have helped. All in all... I got more than I expected and Zappos' excellent service made it all the more pleasant.

Overall, a pretty good shoe! I love the way this shoe looks and feels when I'm just standing around. Walking long distances in the humidity (lots of sweating!) is a slightly different story. The first time I wore them was on a 2 mile walk - they were great for the first mile, but I got a couple of blisters on the back of my ankle on the second mile. The second time I did a long walk in them, it was a lot better - tighten the heel adjustment while you're standing up to get it tighter, then it won't slide as much. Overall, it's a good shoe. Arch support is great, and generally the shoe is really comfortable with a lot of air circulation. My only complaint is the heel area, but it's getting better. I have a pretty small foot, and it's likely that the heel will fit better in larger sizes.

Fairly Satisfied. I like these shoes a lot, but they have one area (near the big toe) where they rub my feet a bit. They have excellent support though, so once they're broken in they should be really comfortable. The look is nice, but I miss having laces to tie (call me old fashioned).

Shoe Review - The shoe is wonderful. I have much better traction in the pool and I have not gotten a cramp since I started wearing them. The only negative thing I have to say is that they ran a little big. I did not send them back because they tighten enough to be okay. It would have been better if they ran a little truer to size.

Bought this shoe for a trip to Tahiti where sandals were recommended for the reef. No break in period was required and they were pretty comfortable right off the bat. The convertible heel thing is sort of a joke, I mean, it is the same as just stepping on the heel of any tennis shoe (maybe a little more comfortable, I guess). But, it was convenient! My only complaint is that sand and small rocks get into the shoe when it is being used underwater and they have a hard time getting out. Also, I needed new sneakers and shoes for underwater so I thought this would be a good choice. The first time it rained here I went to grab them and realized they weren't going to keep my feet all that warm and dry... but they are pretty versatile the rest of the time.

Very comfortable/versatile shoe - Feels about a 1/2 size bigger than stated size. Took a few days to get used to the backing, but now I love them. I wear them at work, 12hrs a day, very comfortable, feet never hurt.

Pretty good shoe - This shoe is a very good all-around shoe for working out. It keeps your feet very cool which is nice for me because Florida is ridiculously hot. It does not have a whole lot of ankle support so if you are looking for that you might want to get something else.
