I have very wide feet / high arch. Very difficult to find boots that fit properly or that I can even get my foot into. These fit perfectly and are super comfortable. Lots of compliments...except, after about 6 weeks, the inside liner of the left boot ripped from where my heel rubs when I put the boot on. Now, the liner bunches up under my heel when I try to put the boot on. Usually takes about 10 tries before I can carefully inch my foot in without pulling the liner down. Zappos has indicated that they will replace...except they don't have any in my size. I'm in a quandary, I don't want to give up the only good fitting boot I've ever found, but 10 minutes to put on my boots seems excessive.

I have read a lot of reviews on boots, and especially these boots. I have bad bunions and very wide feet. Some "cowboy" style boots fit me well... old school Tony Lama's and other handmade Texas boots, etc. But I wanted decent, moderately priced work style boots, and these seemed to be the boots. They are good, not great but good. Decent materials, functional soles, good construction. I have owned a lot of boots, some very high end custom made, some high end off the shelf, and some less expensive but good quality factory boots...and I understand boot construction. You get what you pay for. These are worth the money, for sure. They need some breaking in, and if you are not used to breaking in boots, don't complain about the boot. With my wide feet, 2.5E is not wide enough, but the footbed is adequate, and they will do. Once they break in, and it doesn't take long, they are very useful, good looking and functional. What else could you ask for?

The fit and feel is good, right out of the box! Construction of this pair is above average...made in China, but well supervised. I would say to order your normal size in these boots and you’re good to go!

Boots felt too narrow to begin with, but after a few days of break in, they now feel great! I've been wearing them out in the snow and they really are waterproof! I'm very happy with these boots!

Well made boots. I like the stacked heel and that they are waterproof is an added bonus!

I've gotten a lot of compliments on these boots. More importantly, I love them! After a year I did replace the insoles with a new pair which really added to the comfort. I like the style, fit, and function of these boots.

Love my new boots. They look great and feel comfortable on all but the longest walks. I’ve had for a month now and they may not be broken in completely but my toes are just a tad scrunched in size 10 and a half size bigger is too big. But a larger toe box would be more comfortable for me, but it isn’t a major problem. I do have long toes! I def like them to the point where I am considering getting the black ones as well.

Well first off it was a beautiful pair of boots. Unfortunately I couldn't get them on my feet and had to send them back. Why they don't make boots for big people baffles me. I normally wear a 13 EEE so I ordered a 14 EW and hoped for the best after waiting many months for them to be in stock. Opened the box and fell in love but it was short lived as I couldn't even get my foot half way into the shaft of the boot let alone into the boot itself.. My search continues for a boot like this for big footed guys.

This is my second pair. The first, after three years of hard use, have had heel pad replacement and one stitch up on the inside of one of the boots. They have remained waterproof. They wear as well as any boot I've ever worn but have remained waterproof which some previous boots have not. I've probably walked 300 miles in them and ridden another 500-600. I'm not easy on boots and these boots stand up.

Went up a half size and to a wider width due to boot lining and wearing a wool sock for winter use and the boots fit great. These boots are much warmer than regular boots for winter wear and use around the barn and with the horses. Would like to see a larger spur ridge heel for spurs when riding. These are the second pair I've owned. The first pair lasted nine years but I just wear them in the colder weather.

I have bought 2 pairs of these and will buy more. I ride a motorcycle, but these look classy enough for the office without the bling of certain motorcycle boots. These are surely waterproof in my experience, keeping my feet dry through torrential rain at highway speeds. The sole is perfect with good traction but not a coarse pattern that tends to track in dirt. I would pay more for these boots if Dan Post would produce them in the USA, but I have not found anything that offers the same features at twice the price, so until I do, these are my go to.

I have bought these twice now, and will buy them again. The only knock I have is that Dan Post is importing boots now. If there were a US made option, I would pay 50% more for these boots. I ride a motorcycle and work in an office. I don't want my shoes to be a walking advertisement or to look like I am ready for a bar fight. These boots are nice, black leather-looking boots that are sharp without drawing attention to themselves, but when you notice them, they look good. I have ridden in reasonably heavy rain, and they keep my feet perfectly dry. These are tall enough that my pants don't drift above them in the wind. The heel is about the right height for me and the rubber sole gives good traction without picking up dirt and rocks to track into the office. I need more arch support than these have out of the box, but an insole suits the need nicely. I wouldn't say that these are your new all day walking shoes, but they are comfortable for daily 12-14 hour wearing. I initially ordered a 1/2 size smaller and was very disappointed in the fit. To my surprise, going up 1/2 size was exactly what I needed. The smaller size wasn't too tight, they just felt awkward, so if you experience the same, try a size adjustment. I haven't found anything that compares favorably to these boots for my needs. These aren't cheap, but I don't know of a boot at twice the price or more, regardless of where they are made, that will match my needs as well.

A half size bigger than my other Dan posts, with a smidge of extra room in the heal. Sturdy, thick but soft leather. I can get them off without help which is a bonus! Haven’t gotten to wear them much but I’m looking forward to breaking them in.

February 2022 - This is a really well-constructed boot. It's good looking, but make no mistake it is a rugged work boot for cold weather. I own several pair of Dan Post boots and my size is always a consistent 12 Extra Wide. I wear a 13 in all my other shoes. Unfortunately, this boot has a very nice "liner" which decreases the relative size of the boot. The 12 EW & 13 were too small. I finally got a 13EW and it fits great. So I had to upsize one full size. Also, the "Mid Brown Oily" color is more fawn or sable, rather than brown or tan as it appears in the picture online. Kind of a "coffee with cream" color. It's also more of nubuck or light suede texture rather than smooth leather. Neither point is really a big issue. You just need to be aware of the leather style. I eventually went with black, which is smooth but not highly polished leather. I will add that Zappos return & exchange policy is great !!!

I love these boots. Very comfortable. Breaking in time was minimal. This isn’t your grandfather’s cowboy boots and I’m from Montana. Dan Post is good stuff.

January 2022 - This is a really well constructed boot. I own several pair of Dan Post boots and my size is always a consistent 12 Extra Wide. I wear a 13 in all my other shoes. Unfortunately, this boot has a very nice "liner" which decreases the relative size of the boot. The 12 EW was too small. I tried a 13, but that was still a bit too tight, and unfortunately a 13 extra wide was not available. It's also more of a nubuck or light suede texture rather than a smooth leather. Neither point is really a big issue, except that the Zappos online description is a bit off. I'm disappointed I couldn't get my size... will just have to wait a bit longer. I will add that Zappos return policy is great !!!

I own a pair of Justin boots in a size 8E, I had to go to a size 9EW in this boot. I really like the way they fit. There is a few day break-in, but the go on and off well now. Feel like a well made boot. This is my first pair of Dan Post boots. I'll see how they wear, but so far, I like the shape, simplicity of design and style, and overall good looks.
