Something about the oddness of this shoe drew me in. It reminds me of something a Dickens character would wear. It is very comfy, fits true to size, and has that "is it ugly or cool?" vibe going on. I decided it's hideous and I love it. The heel is perfection.

This shoe is extremely comfortable, and I like the fact there is some heel. I purchased the shoe in Smoke, a subtle brownish color, less stark than black.

These shoes are even better than the pictures! They are absolutely great looking shoes! I was looking for something to wear with jeans and sweaters on days a more casual shoe seemed like the wrong choice - I decided to go for the red color and it's a red that should look great with almost anything. My pair seems a little darker than the red in the picture, but not all the way to burgundy. They are very comfortable, but a bit more snug than my other Rieker's in the same size. The leather is wonderfully soft!

These Reikers are fantastic; they're so, so comfortable! They fit perfectly, and they are adorable. If you are looking for a very cute shoe to wear with pants and skirts, these are the shoes for you.

Like butta on my feet straight out of the box. They were snug on first trying, but I think they will give just fine. I got the red. I was nervous because another reviewer said they looked brown more than red. I think they are a nice blood red -- dark, but red nonetheless. Would definitely recommend this shoe.

I needed a black, casual shoe with a low heel and these shoes fit the bill. They are the most comfortable, fashionable and cutest shoes you can buy. I was nervous about the heel, but it actually gives the shoe a little 'something' to look at. I wear a size 9 and they make my feet look very small and slender. Wear them with jeans or skirts, either way they look great. Very light (but don't be fooled - very high quality of leather and excellent workmanship!) yet great foot support (arch as well as soft, adjusting insole) and no 'breaking in' needed. I was able to walk for hours the very first day and stand on my feet all day long without any pain. If you need black, everyday kind of shoes, definitely consider those and give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

I have had these shoes for almost a year now and I still love them. I am excited for fall so I can wear them again. They are incredibly comfortable and very high quality. In fact, I wore them nearly every day last fall/winter when I was very pregnant and they were comfortable the whole time! I never ever wear heels. The heel on this shoe is very moderate and the shoe really wears like a flat, so you could do a lot of walking in them. I got them in the red which I was a little concerned about at first, but the color is not too bright and will go with most fall clothing. I also truly love the sizing. I usually wear a 10, but have found recently that I really need a 10½ or an 11. Since Rieker is a UK product their shoes are sized accordingly and I found the 42 (10) to be perfect for me, which means they must run about half a size large. I get compliments all of the time!

These shoes are incredible! Uber great looking, goes with everything, and feels like slippers. Am going to order more before they run out. First time, now forever Rieker buyer.

I own a lot of shoes and have tried all the major brands. I have my favorites, but these are among the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I have back and foot problems, and am on my feet most of the day at work and these shoes are like slippers! Lightweight and with good support. Would highly recommend!

Love these shoes. I wear size 7-7.5 and the size 38 fits perfectly. I've found that I sometimes need to go with a 37 in the European sizing, but the conversion was very accurate with these. My workplace is quite conservative and these are appropriate, but with a little funk to them. Classic look, but folds on top of the shoe give it a modern look. Very comfortable!

I love these little boots. When they identify them as stress relieving, they aren't kidding. Something in the lining is so soft and comfortable that even with lightweight socks on, it makes my feet feel great. The heel is low and stable, but very stylish. I bought these ankle boots to wear to job interviews. So far, they have been a great boost to my confidence.

They are a stunning shoe. The level of comfort is extraordinary. Soft, fits so well, arch support, just enough little heel. I would get another pair if they had another in my size because I never want to be without a pair of these shoes. They are simply beautiful and such a comfortable fit.

I have had back surgery recently and I teach high school. It is incredibly difficult to find shoes I can wear and not hurt my back. I wear my Riekers just about every day! I wore the last pair out and am buying these after three years of wear. I highly recommend these shoes over all others!

This is a perfect combination of comfort and style. The leather is soft and comfortable and worn with jeans or pants looks like a boot.

I wanted to order these when I first saw them, but delayed, sure happy I have them. They are extremely comfortable and true to size, I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered a 40. Love them.

Cool shoes! I love it, comfortable, great looking, they are not intended for a long walks and hiking trips, thus, a little "unstable" (no arch support), like a house sleepers!

I bought these boots in the medoc color and I really like them. They aren't exactly the color as pictured, but they are a color that is strikingly different and blends well with a variety of clothes. And best of all, light-weight and very comfortable. I wore them all day the day I received them and they felt wonderful. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Amazing! There is no other shoe like this! I've been putting off bunion surgery for about 2 years. Looks like I can put it off for at least another 2 years. Besides the shoe being very unique, stylish & cute, it's feather light, soft, flexible and very supportive! I love this shoe! You will never regret this purchase! Very true to size for me, also. Rieker has it all going on...wish I could have given it a 10 star!

I love these boots! They feel great! I have issues with planter faciates and nerve damage in my heels. I can wear these boots all day. I always get compliments. They go very well with jeans, and I am buying a second pair!

Shoe is very light in weight. The upper part is synthetic leather. The bottom is plastic and slick. Not sure how long the shoe will hold up before it falls apart. Will be returning the shoe for something with a rubber sole and a real leather upper.

I bought my first pair of red Louises and in fact my first Riekers in a cool little shop in the Montreal central train station a few years ago. Instantaneously, they became my favorite shoes of all time. They feel like slippers that hug the foot softly, the slouch detail and heels are cute as heck, and they're as light as a feather. Gross as this may sound, I have been known to pass one of these shoes around a group of friends so they can feel for themselves how fabulously light they are. People literally gasp. Of course this means the leather is thin, but that does not present the slightest problem, in my opinion. I've worn them an unbelievable amount for over three years. The color is not quite as rich as it was, but they still look alright, and they still feel heavenly. So I figured: lay in a replacement pair while it's available, and get another in black. May sound boring, but actually it's a no-brainer because I LOVE THESE SHOES. I've got the two new pairs sitting here now: total eye candy. But alas- they're too small! My usual size is 9, my old Louises are a 40, which is listed as 8.5-9, and I guess I'm going to have to try the 41/9.5. I can't bring myself to reduce the comfort rating, though, because I am in a position to know that these babies are insanely, addictively comfortable if you've got the right size.

Really cute boot, but after I wear for awhile, my ankles feel sore, probably just my own issue because it's a low heel. Nice quality and very comfortable for me in the footbed because I have a bunion and it was roomy.

Super-cute bootie, but the sole is way too thin. I could feel the wood floor underneath! The leather is often rather thin. It is, however, well constructed. If the manufacturer made it a bit more sturdy, it would be totally worth the price.

These Amanda ankle boots are super comfortable and very cute too - kind of "edgy" in style.
