These boots are not for looking pretty. They are the real thing -- warm and slip resistant. Very well made and I love the color. Lining goes all the way down so the fit is exact. If you use any type of insert, you'll want 1/2 size larger.

Great boot. Easy on/off. Warm, keeps feet dry. I love that I can wear them with jeans, dresses or chinos. Would buy them again.

I got mine at the Zappos store in my area on sale! They are the most comfortable, warm and best looking winter boot I've ever had! The wool around top locks in the heat. The wool also surrounds your feet. The outside is tanned so well that they are almost like a rubber muck book but much prettier. The rubber sole wraps up around sides of foot and heel. Well worth what they retail for but so glad I got mine at the super sale! Go 1/2 size bigger than what you normally wear.

I love these boots. New Jersey got slammed with snow this year and I wear them constantly and they're great for walking the dog and shoveling snow. Nice and high so snow doesn't get in, warm and comfortable, great traction and fashionable enough to wear to work with leggings, jeans or a skirt. Oh yeah, waterproof too!

I looked for a long time for a stylish-looking, yet rugged winter boot, and this is it! I wanted less 'clumsy' look than an Ugg, and Timberland makes a great boot. They are awesome with skinny jeans (or jeans tucked in boot) but with boot-cut jeans that go over the boot I have found that the top furry part catches the jean and makes the jean kinda buckle up around that spot. Other than that, they can be worn either way. I have not trudged through much snow or rain yet, so I have nothing yet to report on that regard. Lots of compliments, too!

My husband bought me these boots as a very wonderful winter surprise. I love them! They are so comfortable and keep your feet warm and dry both inside and outside. I don't usually want to take them off after I come in the house...they are that comfortable.

Wore this boot all through last winter. Best winter boot I have ever owned. It is extremely versatile, can wear on commute to work and also on weekends with jeans. Highly recommend this boot!

Love, love, love these boots. We have been getting a lot of snow this season and I wanted boots that were both stylish and kept my feet dry and warm. These fit all of the above and then some. The grip on the sole is amazing. No more slipping in the snow or while climbing up a hill after sledding. These boots also kept my feet warm in sub zero temps and remained comfy at the same time. I highly recommend these boots.

I have been wanting these boots for months. Tried a pair on at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah and bought them in the golden wheat color. Wore them the entire next day in total comfort. Easy on and off at the airport. Amazing comfort and fit was true to size. I think the trick to comfort for these boots is ordering them a half size larger and wearing thicker socks. I felt no rubbing at all and I have "lived" in these boots. Just ordered a 2nd pair from Zappos in dark brown and know that I will be thrilled with them! A big plus: they are on sale and look so cute on! My friend, who doesn't believe in spending much on shoes said she would definitely buy these after seeing and trying on mine.

Looks just as pictured, fit is nice and warm. Been looking for winter boots for awhile, this hit the mark right on. Heel does rub a little, but worth the breaking-in period.

Now that I've had these boots for a couple of months and put them through the wringer, here's my review: I'm extremely pleased with them! It's true that there is a short break-in period with the heel (and it could be that some people's heels and these boots are not a good match). It wasn't an issue for me after several days of wear. Otherwise, there are nothing but pluses about these boots: they keep my feet toasty, they are waterproof, they are extremely comfortable and easy on and off, good-looking, and I think they will last for quite a while. I've given them a good workout up here in "snow country." I walk dogs for a living and these boots have made my life easier.

I ordered these boots after a long search for the perfect winter boot. My requirements were something that was insulated, comfortable, and waterproof. Up until this point, I hadn't had much luck. So when I saw these, I figured that I would give it a shot. The fit is great. I am usually around a 9.5, but it really depends on the cut and make of the shoe. Well, that's what I ordered with these and that's what fit. However, it took nearly 3 weeks of wearing these to and from work every day to break them in. The heel of the boot rubs against my foot in such a way that I had to do blister prevention for the better part of a month. However, as a hiker, I understand the importance of breaking boots in and, realistically, it's not unreasonable to have a grace period for them. Now that I've had them for over a month, they are as comfy as can be. They are oh-so-warm and extremely waterproof. I live in Boston but go up to Maine frequently, so I have exposed them to both the city slush and the country powder. No leaks, no problems, and the best part is that they're easy to get in and out of. If I had to do it over again, I would certainly buy these boots. I can't emphasize enough how warm and comfortable they are.

I was very disappointed in the fit of these boots. They look great, but the heel is very uncomfortable; it cuts into your foot. They also are not well lined. They would not be very warm in snow. I returned them.

These boots are phenomenal. These boots are so functional and stylish. Chicago had snow showers yesterday and then subzero temperatures today. Well, I wore my new Timbs each day and they held up perfectly. Not only were my feet dry, but they were also warm! The stuff lining the cuff goes all the way down to the toes for extra warmth. Although I own a pair of Uggs, I keep reaching for the Timbs because of the great traction when walking over ice and the warmth. I've also received several compliments on them after only wearing them for 3 days! I directed each person to Zappos. I own the black, but I'm seriously thinking about getting the wheat colored boots for some variety. The only negative I could find is that the back of the boot tends to rub against my heel. It's not horrible and it is not causing blisters. Hopefully, that will go away with some time.

These boots are very warm, completely waterproof, and great looking. I have absolutely zero buyer's remorse after getting these boots. I jumped in puddles to test the waterproof claim; its true! I got these boots in black because I usually wear blacks and greys, so I thought it would be the most practical. I also have chicken legs, and these boots add some girth to my calves. I've worn them with skinny jeans, tucked in, and I've worn them under bootleg jeans. They are great all around! The leather is very high quality. I can't wait for it to snow, so I can frolic in these boots. Also, I can tell these boots are going to last a long time. The back is a little hard (with the extra rubber reinforcement on the back), but it only bothered me the first couple hours I wore them, and then they broke in completely. These boots could probably use a little insole, but don't get me wrong, they're not uncomfortable! Love them!

Adore these. The rubber at the bottom is awesome for keeping your feet dry. They are as cozy inside as Uggs, but 1) much more waterproof and functional 2) not hideously ugly. The calf is super wide for jeans tucking and they actually look pretty cute, but they're really warm. I wore them traveling a few weeks ago and my legs were sweltering on the plane.

Timberland Mount Holly Tall Boot - They are well made and good looking. But I purchased them due to the fact that most reviewers said it has great arch support. It doesn not. Besides, I have skinny heels and these boots are made for those with larger heels. The rubber support on the back of the heel, which some reviewers complained about didn\\\'t bother me a bit, didn\\\'t even feel it was there. My feet are wide in the front and there\\\'s plenty of room in the front. The dark brown burnished color is very rich. I\\\'m a size 7 but I think a half size up would fit me better.

Love the look and the color. Very Taos-chic looking. They look great with pants tucked in. I had to re-order a half size up from what I usually wear, especially as I want to wear them with socks. The heel rubbed a blister onto my foot the first time I wore them for a long walk - so they take some breaking in. The burnished wheat color is fabulous - deep, rich and looking like old saddle leather. I'm interested to find out if they are really waterproof as described.

These are the perfect boot for outdoors. They fit fine right out of the box, are completely waterproof, and look good with slacks and jeans. I've also worn them with skirts. They are definitely warm! I wear boots every day to work (mostly cowboy boots). These replaced some very well worn rain boots and I couldn't be happier. Plus, they came 2 days after I ordered them, on a very rainy day!

I love these boots. I probably don't really need these boots, except now it's raining like crazy and they are waterproof. They are warm, waterproof, super cute, and comfortable. I want the other colors as well (I have them in black, seemed most practical). They make me want a long cold winter so I can wear them as much as possible. True to size, plenty of room for my calves, durable.

I love these boots and will be ordering two more pair. I have terrible feet, hardly anything is comfortable and I could wear these all day. They are great for walking with my dog outdoors and doing barn chores. They are soft, the soles are great. I haven't bought many Timberland shoes but after these boots, they will be one of the first brands I go to for shopping.

My husband spotted these boots in a local shoe store and loved them on me. However, the 8 seemed a little big, and they didn't have a 7.5. Thanks to Zappos, I was able to order both sizes to compare before making my purchase. The 7.5 seemed a bit short in the toe and tighter in the shaft especially around the ankle area, so I went with the 8. The fit is roomy, but with the arch inserts and a thick pair of socks they are very comfortable. No break-in period! Nice and warm. I receive compliments every time I wear them. I also tried a pair of my Hunter Welly Socks with them. They fit perfectly! If I get tired of the faux shearling at the top, I can change the look easily! I am so glad I made the investment in these boots. They are well constructed and will last for years to come. Thank you Zappos for making finding the perfect fit effortless! You're the best!

I love this boot. We have some pretty wet winters here and I think I have found my new favorite boots. They are easy to get in and out of, the Gore-Tex bottom and deep treads make these shoes perfect for rough Chicago winters.

I bought these boots and think they are gorgeous: fit nicely, true to size, comfortable immediately, and well made. They are waterproof, too, which is great! I'm hoping to wear them throughout the fall and into the winter, but I don't know if they are thinsulated, or warm enough for really cold days. We'll see!

I did not buy these directly from Zappos but used the other reviews to base my purchase on. Main use: walking 1.5 miles to/from work in NYC, sometimes requires puddle leaping Reasons to buy: Looks better than those rubber rain boots, leather, waterproof, warm. Tip: If the boot starts to tear up your back ankle, wear another layer of socks. Concerns: how long the waterproofing will last.
