Good looking traditional-style "work" boots with no frills or cushioning. Lightweight construction is good for everyday casual wear, but I would not wear these for heavy work where serious foot protection or durability is needed. I wear these to the office on casual dress day, for dog walking, and for yard work--these are more like a heavy duty sneakers. I like the rippled, non-lug soles that do not fill up with mud. Once I removed the glued-down insoles, I was able to insert my custom orthotics for proper fit. Thin leather, but fast break-in.

I've always been a fan of Red Wing Irish Setters, but they're pretty expensive. These are well made, and extremely comfortable right out of the box. They have good quality leather and construction. There is not a whole lot in the way of extra padding and orthotic support, but you get what you pay for. They seem to be a little short in length, but moccasin toes will always stretch a bit over time. I'm very pleased!

I bought these boots along with a very similar Frye boot to compare. These boots were clearly of inferior quality. The leather has a nice color but is thinner and without luster. The inside of the leather is lined with a thin cloth which I suspected would wear away. Also, the welt is plastic, colored to look like leather.

Jjj I love these boots. This is my second pair. I enjoyed them so much, I wore them nearly every day since they arrived. They broke in rather quickly and were very comfortable. I would say that the only downside to these boots is that they lack a tread and can slip on wet, smooth surfaces. I completely understand the tread design and will deal with this just so I can enjoy this next pair. I am considering bringing the old pair to a boot repair shop and having them resoled and some of the stitching fixed. The more I wore the boots, the better they looked. I applied mink oil liberally once a week or so and they always looked sharp. For the price, fit, look and durability, a pair of these Eastland’s will always be in my closet. Brendan R.

Great pair of boots for working in or casual wear. I wore them around the house for a couple hours for a few days to break them in. After that, I wore them out and didn't get blisters. Sizing was pretty solid. I ordered a pair of 10's and they still fit with some additional arch support inserts, even when I wear thick wool socks. I really like the height of the boot, makes pants fall nicely. Only complaint I have is that the white soles are susceptible to staining from everyday use, which I expect from a white sole.

These are great boots for all types of work. I bought two pairs and have nearly worn them out. They retained their feel and comfort and have aged very well through water, mud, dirt and sand. I am very pleased and am going to order another pair.

Very comfortable boots but the leather is a little on the thin side for work boots. I found the size to be okay but I also have narrow feet. The most annoying thing about them is the lack of a finger pull on the back of the boot to make getting them on easier.

The boot is comfortable and seems well made. But, this boot has zero (!) traction in ice and snow, so I don't recommend this if you plan to go outside in the winter.

I bought this plus 4 other pairs and found that the CATERPILLAR SECOND SHIFT WIDE/LARGE the best. FWIW, I bought everything available up to $150 a pair in my size, WIDE. EASTLAND LUMBER UP was my number 2 in comfort... But its sole is too smooth, and I'm in rural Maine. Looks good, feels great, and i tested the SHANK by standing on a 2x2 for a while... as i work on ladders a lot. If I wanted brown boots to walk around in especially in non-rural settings, them i would buy these. Highly recommend. Others includes Rocky Treadflex - best with protective toe!, Then Carolina 5" Composite Toe Hiker, Ariat Rebar Flex 6" H20 Comp Toe

The fit and size were perfect. I wear a size 11 in all my tennis shoes and the 11 in these are just as perfect. The style is actually better than Red Wing's, although I'm sure at the price point point they may not have the same quality. I was pleasantly surprised at how extremely comfortable they are, though. That stuck out to me the most, they feel almost like sneakers.

I have a low volume foot, and so knowledgeable (or uncaring) sales people often try to put me in a smaller size. That is incorrect boot/shoe fitting. That said, the Eastland 1955 Lumber Up fits a low volume foot; as such I can have the space that boots/shoes need in front of the toe and still not get heel lift. Well done Eastland, by making a feel fitting boot I can tell you care about your customers. While these boots are a not a heavy duty work boot, they are good for the homeowner and the DIY guy or for the lumber-sexual types that what to pose as hard working. Good for light work, and stylish enough to wear as an everyday shoe.

Love the look of these boots. I got the peanut color. They are a light brown with a darker toe area. I went with the dark brown as well, but they were way too dark brown, I like the contrasting colors. They seem very comfortable. They are super light weight as well. I'd highly recommend.

Good boot, happy with it. Better looking than other moc toe boots out there. Own 2 pairs of Danners and wanted the Danner moc toe but at $100 more, couldn't justify it since this was just gonna be worn casually. Would buy again. The peanut leather color I bought is true to the picture. Toe and heel have a darker leather than the rest which makes it an interesting looking shoe. My size was 13 wide and size is spot on. Would recommend to anyone.

I have really enjoyed my purchase so far. They did not take long to break in at all. I have worn them out when it’s been raining and even when it’s been snowing. While they definitely are not a “snow boot” I didn’t have any issues while out. These boots are very stylish and comfortable. I wear them with jeans and dressier pants.

So, I’ve been looking for boots for a long time now. I really wanted the K-6 boots from Eddie Bauer but the reviews were absolutely awful. I mean, I had a promo code and there was a sale but people were so adamant about the tongue being painful that I opted out. That’s why I’m writing this review...I am so glad so many people reviewed that boot and talked me out of getting it. Enter the Eastland 1955 Lumber Up. I tried these on and fell in love. Of course the store didn’t have my size and only had the “peanut” color. That’s when I looked em up on Zappos, found my size, for cheaper, and in the color I preferred. Damn. The sole is perfect and doesn’t tire out my high arches. The boot isn’t too stiff and moves nicely. And they look great. I highly recommend this boot!

I had purchased 3 other boots, but ended up returning them. I"m extremely appreciative of Zappos' return policy. This Eastland boot is a keeper. It's my first pair of boots (I usually wear sneakers) and I love them! The color, the material, and they fit like a glove. My purchasing experience was done with a customer service rep. named Mev. This team member was both helpful and enthusiastic. I cannot explain how much I enjoy Zappos' level of customer service!

I can't say, but I know the service is exceptional enough to help make you happy! Thanks, Mev!
