I have the size 6 in dark brown. These boots are gorgeous. Very high quality. I'm usually wary of buying expensive shoes, because some makers believe their brand power can convince a person to buy poorly made shoes for a high price. These fit my feet and slender calves like a glove. I never find zip-up boots that fit my calves. The heels are the perfect height for me - I can't tolerate 3" heels any longer, even with padding. I could wear these for quite a while. And of course the style is super cute! All-in-all, I love 'em!

This pair of boot from Frye is just very beautiful. This is already my second pair of Frye and I am just so hooked with Frye. Again, with excellent craftsmanship, thick quality leather, 3 inches heel that I feel very comfortable with. It fits me perfectly with my normal 7.5. Just very happy with my purchase.

I am so pleased with these boots! I have had my eye on these for a long time and could not decide if I wanted to spend the money. Let me say, these boots are fine quality. The leather is so nice, the color so rich. I ordered the plum, a little concerned that I was ordering purple boots! They are such a beautiful color. I think they will be an outstanding addition to my boot wardrobe. They will last for years. I may be spoiled for any other boots now! This is my first pair of Frye. I just cannot adequately express how nicely made these boots are. If you are wondering if they are worth it, they are, just go ahead and order them!

I really like these boots. I originally ordered size 7.5 and I felt like they were a little too big in foot and also in calf. So after a couple of weeks thinking about it I ordered size 7 and I'm glad I did. They fit so much better so my 7.5 is going back. They are very well made, good leather quality, perfect heel size for everyday walking. Thank you Zappos for the fast delivery!

these are great boots. I've bought many knee-high styles in the past searching for the perfect pair, and these might be it. I'm tall (5\'9") with slightly larger calf size (15"+), and these fit great. I typically wear a 9, and that's the size I got. They zipped right up! They also come all the way up to my knee, since many other "knee high" boots barely make it up to the top of my calf. typical of frye shoes, I think that they're comfortable and easy to wear; I barely even notice the heel. plus, I think that they look great. If you're on the fence, I recommend that you go for it and try them out!

These boots are gorgeous. I waited a long time to purchase them because they were more than I wanted to spend, but they are beautifully crafted and truly worth the price. For me they are true to size and also very comfortable. A great investment.

This boot is just so beautiful (as are most that Frye makes). I bought it in Tan, and it is such a rich color (goes with a lot of things, including black). I agree with previous reviewers that say it's a rather tall shaft - I am 5'4" and I would say that, while still very wearable and workable, it does come fully up to my knee. Especially when I sit down, I do feel it there at the back of my leg with some pressure. This has improved with each time wearing it, to the point that I don't notice it so much anymore. I would say that if you are 5'4", or certainly any taller than that, there are NO drawbacks to this boot - so gorgeous and many compliments. Pricey, but worth every Frye penny!

I love these boots. Was hesitant to purchase knee-high boots online since I run/hike and have athletic calves (just under 15" around the widest part). The first zip-up was a bit snug but after wearing them around the house for about 2 hours they relaxed a bit and felt comfortable. I wear an 8-8.5 in running shoes and hikers. A 7.5 in Fryes works well for me. The height is perfect (I'm 5'7" and fell just below knee). The boots are beautiful, the leather upper is substantial but not overly stiff (it feels quite soft on the inside) and I loved the color and styling. Could wear with jeans or dress up with a long skirt for the workplace.

I love these boots! They're very stylish, but still comfortable. They'll be really cute with skirts and over skinny jeans. A few comments on fit: The calf circumference is probably average. I've got skinny legs, so I had a shoemaker take them in so that they fit me appropriately. They're very tall, so I wouldn't recommend them to petite women. I'm 5'7" with long legs and they come up to my knee.

I love these boots. I've gotten tons of compliments on them. The leather is high quality and I expect they will last for years. These are my second pair of Frye boots and I'm sure they won't be my last.

I love Zappos! Fast service and once when I had to contact them via e-mail, I received a response in a timely fashion. As far as the boots... they rock big time. Excellent quality. I have muscular calves and the fit is perfect, so if your calves are thinner (mine are 14"), the boot may be a little too big. True to size (8). Although they are a tad "stiff", I’m still breaking them in (worn 3x so far), but plan to have them for years to come. Overall, very happy and plan to order from Zappos again (and again)! LOVE THESE!! I bought these boot 2 weeks ago and am ready to give a solid review. First off, due to the cost, I seriously deliberated about buying these shoes way more than I did about marrying my husband. Seriously. Bought them with Christmas money and I’m so glad I did. They are beautiful and amazingly good quality (they should be). They fit totally true to size and they are very comfortable. The first time I wore them, it was out to dinner. Just sitting, looking pretty. Fine. However, I finally gave them an ALL DAY test- and wore them all day yesterday- to work. I walk to work (about 5 city blocks with Kansas City hills) walk home for lunch and back in the afternoon- so I walk a lot. Despite the heel and the fact that they were new boots, they were still amazingly comfortable and even at the end of the day, after plenty of time on my feet- they didn’t hurt- at all- and I have a pretty high standard for comfort. They are also gorgeous and hot and I definitely got the compliments and the stares, which was nice. And of course, Zappos was amazing with their service. I love Zappos and I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!

Reading other reviews has been helpful on Zappos - so, here goes. This is another high quality product from Frye. Just beautiful and comfortable. I am 5’6” and on the thin side with wide feet. These boots have good structure in the shaft, and leave some comfort room around the calf. I do not like tight clingy anything. I ordered these boots in brick - a deep, reddish brown that will be wearable with many color options. These boots can be dressed up or down. The size is true. The heel height is perfect. I have a pair of 12" harness boots that I have worn and worn. Fryes are expensive, but they are well made, leather lined, and last and last. A very good basic investment. The more you wear them, the more striking and personal they become.

You can't go wrong with Frye. They might be a little pricey, but well worth it. These boots are beautiful, just the right heel height and very comfortable. I got them in plum, and I love them!

Slipped into these gorgeous boots and felt they were custom made for me. At 5'9" with 15+" calves, these boots fit beautifully. They hit just below my knees, had some room (without being too big) at the calves, and gave a slimming, "rich b**ch" look (according to my husband). However, it is with regret that I am returning them. Sigh! Heel height listed as 2 1/4" but it sure looked and felt higher. I am in my early 60s and need a boot I feel I can "grow old with". Heel height felt too tall for me to feel comfortable in the long run. They are cool boots. If Frye reproduced them with a heel like the Carmen or Jane Stitch, I'd probably snap them up!

I ordered the Frye Fiona Leather Loop in plum. I love them. This was my first pair of Fryes and I am hooked. I normally wear a size 9 and these were true to size. They are very comfortable and well made (you get what you pay for) and don't know why I waited so long to try Frye. They are very versatile. I can wear to work with a skirt or trousers and kick around on the weekends with jeans. They also have a really tall shaft and might be an issue if you have shorter legs.

Perfect for long legs. As the other reviewers have noted, these boots have a very tall shaft. I am a tall girl, so I love that about them. So many other "tall boots" look too short and awkward on me. Those who are Frye fans know that the quality of craftsmanship more than compensates for the cost. These boots are no exception. They are beautifully crafted, to the point that others will notice them and want to know where you got such gorgeous boots. They are not your run-of-the-mill cheap leather boots from Macy's, etc. These are keepers. I believe they fit true to size. The heel is low and wide enough to make them comfy for walking around all day.

Frye Fiona Loop Boot - Dark Brown - I bought these boots in the dark brown and they're really beautiful. They shaft is high, which can be hard to find and perfect for longer legs. They are slim enough to look streamlined with skinny jeans tucked in and don't look wide or floppy like some other boots. However, they're still roomy on my calves and ideally I would have liked them to fit a bit smaller, but definitely still a keeper. Great quality; these seem like they'll stay stiff and not get slouchy with wear. I usually wear a 7 in Frye boots and got the 7.5 and they fit great. I wore them all day and found them quite comfortable. Classic style that will last for a long time.

These boots are extraordinarily well made. The leather, zippers, and sole are highest quality: definitely worth the cost. That said, I'm not certain I'm going to keep them. I am tall with larger calves (14" or 14.5"). Even so, the fit around the ankles is a little sloppy. These are not as slim-fitting and feminine as I would like.

I ordered these boots in dark brown and was sent brick instead. When I alerted Zappos to the problem, they immediately sent me a replacement pair (before I had to return the wrong ones) AND didn't charge my credit card for the second pair during a grace period until I can get the second pair returned. Zappos has customer service right. I am amazed how efficient and customer orientated they are each time I order from them. But on to the shoes...The boots are beautiful (I actually love both colors, so it will be hard to choose which to keep). The problem I have is one that has already been mentioned in the reviews--they are extremely high and come up to my knee cap. I am 5'4" and have never had that problem with boots before, so I'd say I have average length calves. It's true that when you sit down they rub the back of your knee, but they also rub the front of my knee when I'm walking. I think this problem would be avoided if I wear the boots over jeans, but I'm not sure if it would be fixed over a pair of tights. Only way to know is to try, but then I'm stuck with the boots, which is a problem. I wish they were about 3 centimeters shorter and they would be perfect. Obviously haven't worn them out of the house yet, but they seem like they'll be comfortable. Good size heel, but one that seems like you could stand in most of the day without it bothering you. If I end up keeping them and they end up tearing up my knees, I'll update this post.

Not bad. I got these boots in the plum, and they seemed more burgundy to me. The bottoms were slippery, but maybe that's the same with all Frye boots? I'm 5'4" and they were a little tall for me. Standing up they were fine, but when I sat they rubbed the back of my knee. The heel gave them a sexy vibe, but overall just didn't work for me. They just weren't worth the price for me. They also didn't have much cushioning and didn't seem like they would be very comfortable to be on your feet all day.

I wrote a review a week ago and it was not posted, so I will have to comment again. I bought the brick colored boot and although the color was nice, the boots were squeezing my pinky toe. Also, I really didn't appreciate the huge Zappos name all over the box. It just wasn't necessary and to me was tacky. Nevertheless, I returned the boots and am awaiting my refund.P.S. \\r\\nZappos please let me know if you feel that my comments should not be posted.

Bought and returned the boots because the calf was too big for my 13.5 calves, size 7.5. The leather was nice but the color (brick) was not as flattering to me as in the Paige Loop pull; which I have. In addition, I was shocked to see the box with Zappos written all over it in huge letters. I think that is so tacky and deters me from wanting to buy from them again. Less is more! Other companies are more discreet.
