Love them! Well constructed with leather soles and the uppers stitched to the bottom. My favorite qualities are the marbling of the leather and that the soles are stitched under the uppers, so that the stitching isn't blatantly obvious. The shoe was a little big, so I bought a half size below. True to width. One of the best pairs of mens shoes you'll find on Zappos and a great investment.

Didn't fit the person I bought it for and was about to return it when I tried it on and instantly fell in love. Fits like a dream and the quality is amazing! This shoe is very well made and it shows. Best of all it is made in America! I refuse to pay for brand names or trendy styles, but I was willing to pay the most I have ever paid for a shoe because these shoes are worth every dollar in terms of quality and its classic timeless design! And with proper care, they will last a lifetime!

Better than expected. A gorgeous shoe and very well constructed. Makes a statement. took a size 7 1/2 while my sneaker size is an 8 1/2.

The AE Strand is a great shoe and is even better looking than the photo. It's very comfortable for a dress shoe and very well made. This shoe will get lots of compliments. And, Zappo's service is always fantastic.

Awesome shoes. Own two pairs, black and walnut, purchased through Brooks Brothers (custom sole). The shoes fit great and hold a good polish. Have had both pairs for more than 4 years and still look great. I use AE's leather products as well as shoe trees to keep them in good shape. I doubt I'll need a resole any time soon. Great shoes!

I just love Allen Edmonds. The fact that they are made in WI and are able to be recrafted (soles replaced when they wear down) is awesome. They are worth every penny! I purchased my 1st pair 8 years ago and have had them recrafted a few times. I can take to a store or do via on line. They will then return them right to my door. They have many different styles and colors. If you go to their stores they will even show you several different ways to lace them up. I spend a lot of time walking between offices and these shoes have never disappointed. My parents taught me early on, that I should 'invest' in your feet. Buying a strong, sturdy pair of shoes will pay multiple dividends in the long run. My Allens have far outlasted my peers who purchase much lower cost shoes. They also complain about aching feet. I have never experienced that with my Allens.

This is a great mix between the wingtip and cap toe classics. I fell in love with these shoes. I own these in 3 colors. Chili, Walnut and Brown. The fit is perfect and the clean up very nice when you use the Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish.

Great, versatile shoe. Fairly comfy right out of the box. Walnut is the way to go here. I normally wear a 9D, but in this last I had to size down a full size and go a bit wider to an 8E. Hope that helps.

Simply beautiful shoes. I bought these shoes in Walnut and they are striking. Great quality, made in USA, can be resoled. Fit perfect right out of the box.

Well Made, the leather sole is thick and high quality. If quality is important, you can't beat this shoe. Heavy broguing and excellent stitching are also hallmarks of this shoe. The shoe is real uncoated leather that breathes so your feet stay comfortable. This is a serious shoe for a person who is tired of purchasing sub par junk.

MY goodness, Zappos customer support is off the chain. I ordered these shoes in "Bourbon" for a wedding and when they arrived, I was sent "Walnut" instead (which I already have a pair of, and recognized that they had made a mistake). I hopped on to Zappos CS chat and immediately connected with someone. They were out of "Bourbon" in my size and I needed a pair of shoes in 2 days for the wedding. The CS rep gave me a very generous coupon, upgraded my account to VIP status (think Amazon Prime), and sent me a free return label for the other shoes. I was able to order another pair for $100 off and have free overnight shipping on my account now. Great experience. As for the shoes: They're wonderful. Allen Edmonds shoes are american classics. They are far above your regular department store brand. The soles are solid. Everything is stitched (not glued on like some other brands), and the shoes are beautiful. You can really tell the difference right away. Don't settle - grab these, care for them, and keep them for a very long time.

Love the shoe. Good fit. Only disappointment was the picture suggested that the toe cap was darker than the rest of the shoe giving a two-tone appearance. Not the case. Toe cap same shade as rest of shoe. Too bad. I have flat feet so the firm, flat footbed is greatly appreciated.

This is my third pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. These will be the cheapest shoes that I ever own. My first pair is now 13 years old, and I plan to send them in for reconditioning the summer of 2013. These shoes are really amazing. They are hand-made and the quality is exquisite. My step-father is a third generation mens clothing store owner and they sell Allen Edmonds and Florsheim exclusively. Allen Edmonds shoes are the best. They last. They look great. Business associates will notice. Clients will notice. A great pair of shoes and a good watch speak loudly in the business world. Allen Edmonds shoes fit that bill. Not to mention, if you run the cost of these shoes against the years of service, Allen Edmonds is probably the cheapest pair of shoes that you will ever own.

Great looking shoes, but ultimately very uncomfortable (never felt like they broke in for me).

Overall a pretty good shoe. The shoe toe seemed to narrow too quickly causing discomfort for the first few days by pinching my toes. Once they adapted to my feet, that were fine.

I ordered these for my fiance to wear with a royal blue suit. He said they fit well and they definitely looked great. The detail on the toe box is so beautiful and the color is accurate to the photo.
