Love it! At first I was going to get a roller with zip off day pack, but you would never use one of those day packs at home...so I got this and an Osprey day pack and the day pack can be secured to the front of the luggage! Have not actually used it as a back pack except in the store, but nice to know I could. Used on a trip to Fiji. Wheeled it down a road about 1 mile, very bumpy and rutted out. Nice big wheels. This pack is huge. I carried bunches of stuff...and was able to secure wet scuba stuff on the outside straps. Brought back shells and glass bottles which remained intact (well padded bag). Can be locked. First backpackers I stayed at, the guy in my room had the same bag (but in brown color) and he loved his too.

I have owned the bag for a month and made 3 work trips with it. It is great and has plenty of room and rolls easily. The compression straps are great as well. It is already a little marked up from the airlines but that can be expected. I would buy it again.

Extended travel for 2-3 months at a time. Just the right size and easy to convert to Backpack mode for hotels without elevators or long gravel driveways. Used both in Europe, South America and weekend getaways. Holding up well after 4 years of use. Double bar handle makes wheeling through airports and streets stable and easy.

Bought this luggage 10 years ago for a trip to Asia. Travelled all over the world since then and the bag is still running like new. Handle is very sturdy and those wheels will get you anywhere in sand, rocks or snow. I tought at first that the hidden back pack would be convenient but ended up using it only once since this bag is so heavy duty. Why carry when you can roll? Still not regretting the feature because I won't need to buy another luggage ever...

We have traveled in the last 15 years to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Galapagos, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, UK, USA, just to name a few. What's great with this is that the sides are padded and when you synch the straps tight all your "stuff" inside gets compressed or "hugged" so nothing inside moves around by being tossed by baggage handlers. I have brought home "adult beverages" from my travels abroad packed within this and so far, no problems. Also what is truly remarkable is the "All Mighty Guarantee". Check it out! Osprey stands behind their product! This withstood our last 15 years of travel and we had some repairs that we thought they could perform. We were notified that they were unrepairable. We just received our brand new "replacement" Sojourns on 12/24/22. Ready for another 15 years of adventures!

Prior to the pandemic I travel pretty much continuously and used an Osprey Atmos. I not getting any young and needed something with wheel that would stand up to the road for the long haul. After this bag arrived I was immediately impressed by how sturdy and well built it is. Have the large wheels to move things around more easily is great. I am always concerned that a wheel will break or the handle will not longer go up on these type of bags but having the backpack carry features and back up is great. I am short and I can even comfortably pull this bag by the top duffel handle without using the retractable handle. My only complaint is that they are now out of stock as I wanted to order a second one.

First let me start with how amazing Osprey's warranty and service are. We were debating between backpacks vs wheeled bags for a year long trip around the world. We opted for wheeled bags knowing we'd largely be in cities. The four sojourn's we bought got a serious workout - dragged over cobblestones, mud, gravel, dirt, uneven roads, flipped up curbs and dragged up stairs, dropped from vans and luggage racks....everything. And they were AWESOME. After tens of thousands of kms travelled, the bags were still in great shape except for the handles on the bags were seized up, likely due to our own abuse moreso than craftsmanship. I contacted Osprey after we got home and asked if they could fix them. We mailed them in and they followed up saying we could select brand new bags from their site. I was in shock. Grateful and appreciative of their 100% no questions guarantee and happy as punch to pick out a new set of Sojourn wheeled bags. We've used this next set for years now, with the usual travel of 3-5x trips/year and they've held up perfectly. Zero issues, just pure joy using them flawlessly every time. This is a company that stands by their products. It's quality through and through. Even when the issues are borderline the consumer's fault, they err on the side of supporting the consumer. Few companies do that these days. Bravo Osprey. Fan for life here.

I travel for both work and pleasure. It takes some Tetris skills, but I am able to pack quite a bit of gear and clothes into this pack. I usually bring an airporter duffel as well for my return home so if I obtain any souvenirs or am too tired to neatly fold and roll each item back in its perfect spot, I can just toss the excess in there. This pack is only good if you have somewhere to stow it (i.e., hotel or friend's place) while you go on a hike or climb, but it is extremely durable and easy to travel with. I haven't used the shoulder straps yet since I usually already have a pack I am carrying. But I tested the straps at home with weight in the bag, and it will definitely be useful if not already carrying a pack, or if you are able to carry your backpack on your front, then you could carry this on your back no problem if you encounter and area that you cannot use the wheels.

My wife and I both carry different sizes of the Sojourn bag (I carry the 80L full of her stuff and she carries the 60L full of mine...ha). In the past 5 years, these bags have been with us on over 40 trips and to 17 different countries. Whether traveling by train through Europe or trekking to a treehouse in the middle of a national park in Thailand, I've never encountered a situation where the Sojourn didn't perform and perform exceptionally well. The bag is high quality from the stitching to the wheels, handles, and zippers. This is hands down the best bag I've ever owned.

So I needed to travel for a month through several cities in Europe for work with some hiking in the Alps. My hiking gear (multiday pack, sleeping bag, bivy, pad, etc.) had to fit in the travel pack with my hiking clothes and shoes, my work clothes and shoes, my dress up for the theatre (it was a Shakespeare class after all) clothes and shoes, the books I was teaching, rain gear, warm stuff and I needed to be able to wheel from public transport to apartments and then carry up 4 or more flights of stairs in old Vienese buildings. I researched a lot of packs, and while this one is pricey, it worked extremely well. Easy to wheel, easy to carry. Huge main compartment with pockets on top and along the sides, and the inside of the zippered flap has 2 additional mesh pockets. The back where the shoulder straps zip in also has a pocket--great for programs and maps and books. The material is very sturdy with reinforced padding on the shoulders and sides. Handles are convenient for short carries and the wheels are only a little scuffed from traversing London, Oxford, Vienna, etc. My one issue is that when I bump down off curbs if I haven't lined up the wheels the bag will flip over because the weight distribution tends to be higher on the bag when it is upright. I also figured out that it will fit my 4 piece paddle and pfd on some future journey

This bag is now 4 years old and has made 10 international trips as well as 20+ domestic trips on airlines. Plus the occasional weekend trips in the trunk. It has held up very well to the rigors of baggage handlers, taxi drivers and me. Wheels and tires have held up no problem. The 1st issue just occurred when a buckle broke. I just submitted a parts request to Osprey, so I look forward to their response.

Have traveled with this pack throughout the United States, and to Europe. It has the capacity for enough clothes for a week, as well as all of the items that I need. I'm a disabled Veteran, and have to take some extra things along. The attachment hooks and straps are awesome. Highly recommend

I am a Traveller by Heart. Usually I take trips longer than 2 month every few years, This backpack is just great as you don't have to carry the weight but drag it easy. Plus the moment surface doesn't allow to trolley (e.g. beach, etc), it takes 25 seconds to turn it into a usual backpack..... JUsT GReAT

I took it on a 3 week trip to Thailand. The only place I needed to use the shoulder straps and wear it like a backpack was walking on a beach. The seams and fabric couldn't handle more then 30 pounds and they ripped. The idea is great, if you are going to backpack. Most travel I do can be done with a big wheel bag and small daypack. The problem is that when you have it all in one the shoulder and waist straps take up a lot of internal space so you can't fit as much cargo inside. Also the wheels can hit your back. But it is better then a real backpack with no wheels when you don't need to wear it. Its a lot more comfortable and less tiring to wheel a bag then to wear it.

After the very first airline trip the two corners of the frame on the back, left and right of where the handle stows showed signs of wear, the fabric is very frayed now after about 3 years of use, it should have hard plastic wear plates at those hotspots. I travel by airline 12-15 times a year and go to remote locations via helicopter, the big wheels and backpack feature are handy for getting to remote camps but it's not well suited for airline travel.

The wheels are too close together, and most bumps in the road cause it to loose balance, tip over to one side or the other, and then I have to spin it around to get it going the right way again. Veeeery frustrating, as it usually happens when getting off an escalator, or coming off a small curb, or entering public transportation. So not just frustrating, but a little dangerous. I've taken it on a dozen or more multi-week trips in numerous countries and this has always been the case. After this last trip I won't be using it anymore, which is a bummer due to the cost. I have to imagine I'm not the only one with this issue, and wish Osprey would do something about it (i.e. change the design a bit).
