I have only worn 527s for a long time although the names and washes have changed over the years. There seems to be an inconsistence in sizing and occasional oversights in labeling with Levis lately. One pair of 527s ran a little big overall - definitely not feeling slim. Another pair was not a 32 inseam as marked but closer to a 34. Zappos' return policy makes it easy to deal with this kind of thing if you choose. I chose to live with it as I like the jeans overall. But I am not totally satisfied with the jeans. I like the lightweight denim for the summer. They do tend to lose shape more quickly, however.

I was a little optimistic about ordering because of some of the reviews about how tight the fit it. Was very surprised to feel the opposite way. Ended up ordering a second pair.

Great jeans for the price. Add a pair of Clarks Desert boots and a t-shirt or dress shirt for a great casual look. My wife likes these better than my $175 jeans.

I love the 527s but have noticed that different colors run bigger and smaller than others. These (tumbled black) were about a size bigger on the waist and much roomier in the thighs than the quartz.

Not the low boot cut! My husband likes the Low Boot Cut 527s, and these are just the regular ones. Still good jeans, just not what I was looking for.

To answer everyone's questions: These jeans are more snug fitting than 527's that have been sold in department stores in the past. I'm glad. I'm just shy of 30 and jean trends are frustrating. Finding jeans that fit over your shoes and didn't make you look like a baggy panted idiot, or jeans that were slim enough and didn't make you look "Emo," or your father was a hard line to walk without spending loads more money. I'm hard on jeans and am glad I got these. The andi and onyx colors are both holding up well. The material is thinner, which I like. Overall, in my opinion, a definite buy. A little slim, a little flared, a little thin. Women have noticed.

Great jeans for the money. They fit and feel excellent. My only concern is the material seems lightweight. I hope it stands up to the day to day wear and tear of life.

For the price these jeans work pretty well. I'm a tall, slim guy so when I buy jeans I don't want there to be so much fabric that I'm swimming in it. With these jeans the key is to match it to your waist size exactly because they'll fit best around the seat and thighs. They're already cut slimmer with the bootleg style, but definitely make sure to measure your waist before you buy so you can just the right size. I'm normally a 31 but fit in 30s in this style and could have easily gone one more size down to 29, too.

It's a good jean, was a little surprised though, the material is actually one of those light ones. It's not like regular heavy jeans material. Nice though for summer.

Great jeans. I used to wear the 567 years ago when I was back in college and the 527 became known as a slimmer spin off of those 567 jeans. What I like about Levi’s is that they've updated the 527 in the last 2 years to have more modern colors and a more modern slim fit. Compared to 527 jeans I bought back in 2004 these are slightly slimmer fitted which is a great modern spin on the classic boot cut/fit jeans. There are lots of color choices as well.
That said, they downsides with Levi’s is that I find the colors tend to wash out over time in a bad way. Last year I bought the Tumbled Rigid which was a dark navy blue and after a couple of months the dark washed away and it became this grey blue color. I've had other Levi’s that did this on me. This time I got the Tumbled Black and plan on dry cleaning it only to protect the color. Another odd thing about 527s is that they tend to each have a unique fit based on color and style. The darker colors have a more slim fit while the lighter blue colors have a more relaxed fit. I got the Asti blue color and that has more room in the leg than the tumbled black while the fancy 527 with the zippered or buttoned rear pockets are very slim fitting. Not sure if this is intentional or just a side effect of where the jeans are made. Either way you will be happy with the 527s.

Overall very good looking jeans. The colors aren't quite as dark as the ones pictured and they do run slim, so if you are between sizes order up one!

Great fit and cool style! I have found that with the different finishes there tends to be a big difference in the fit. I have most every finish and some of the newer ones are a bit snug. Guess I\'ll hit the gym, these jeans are worth fitting into!

I would recommend buying these one waist size bigger than you usually wear. I had to exchange my normal size for one size bigger. Also, the length is very long. I’m 6’2” and the 34x34 drag underneath my heels they are so long.

I absolutely concur with other posters about sizing. It varies wildly. Why should that be? I did bump into a Levi's sales rep at Macy's one day recently who admitted that the 527 cut has been changed drastically. It is way too tight in the legs even for guys like me who are slim to start with. When the sizing is right, and that is rare, they are the best money can buy. Wish Levi's would read this comments and understand that they might lose a lot of loyal customers with the fit change on the 527s. I don't buy online anymore (even with the wonderful policies of Zappos) because it is easier to go to the store and try on a dozen pairs until I get one that works than to buy online and have to return a dozen pairs.

Tight thighs! I am 6 feet tall, 170 pounds. I am lean, my legs aren't huge or muscular, if anything they are thin. I ordered 32x32. The waist was spot on, not tight, but just enough room to be comfortable. The thighs were incredibly tight though! I could not sit down without being extremely uncomfortable. I tried wearing them for a whole day thinking they would stretch out but no. I used to love these jeans, what happened. I don't know how anyone could have a waist as thin as mine with thinner thighs. I tried 33x32 but the waist was just too huge and the crotch was too baggy. Disproportionate. It was the same in 4 different washes.

Love Levi's 527 but this time the fit was not right. I wear a 34x36 normally so ordered but could barely put the jeans on. Way too tight. First time ordering from Zappos, guess I'll have to try and find them at the Levi's store. Had to return both pair.

Bought the Andi for my husband but the material was too thin compared to other Levis jeans so the overall look wasn't quite right.

The fit is fine. The style is one I like. However, I bought "Tumbled Rigid" because it seemed like that was the thick, durable denim I like. I was wrong. The denim is thin and everything about these Levis feels cheap. I am really disappointed. I have Levi jeans that go back years and take all the abuse you can throw at it. I will be lucky if these last a whole year.

I do not like these. The fabric is thin and does not seem durable at all. They fit weird, which is probably more because of my body type, but I expected better quality overall.

Very tight fit at the thighs. I'm 6'2 and pretty lean for my height. The material is also too thin in my opinion.

Levi's changed the cut and 527s are now uncomfortably skinny--and this is from someone with notoriously skinny legs. I bought 5 pair and had to return them all. Here's a suggestion Levi's; if you want to drastically change the cut then give them a new number so you don't confuse and piss off your customers.

Bummer! I love this style of jeans and have several pairs. I ordered two new pairs and neither one fit...too big! Seems like the yoke has changed and is much longer than previous versions of this style.

I bought 5 pairs of these in all different colors for my husband. The smoke gray with white stitching is the only one that fit remotely close to his old low rise 527's. They ran a little shorter than usual, but were good enough to keep. I don't know what to say about how inconsistent Levi's has gotten on their sizing. All the other pants were all over the map in how they fit. Mostly they ran small. My husband is 6 feet tall, about 190 pounds of muscle and is very lean. He is always a 32 X 34 and he could not even get his legs into some of the pants. Had to send them all back.
