My boyfriend had asked for a different work boot, but after reading the specifics of this 1 I got it instead. He was irritated until he put them on. He loves them! He said they feel soft & squishy inside (apparently that's a good thing). He swears he wouldn't trade these boots for any other kind. Also, I didn't realize, the sole is protective as well...no more nails in the foot when accidentally stepped on while working. No break in time. And, they look kind of cool. Not bulky and Frankenstein looking. Definite recommend. If I could give them more than a 5 star rating for comfort, I would. He's walking around singing song's about his new work boots & says they don't feel cumbersome, they feel more like his favorite already broke in tennis shoes.

I just bought my second pair. I wore these every day for 3 years! I put on 5+ miles a day on concrete, dirt, rebar, everything. I’ve owned many boots in 25 years and these are by far the best. They get compliments daily too, they’re great.

Orange part on front coming off, and sole coming off a little at the seam to leather. No leaks, only cosmetic. Very comfortable. Was wearing Payless brand Rugged Outback. Was in a lot of pain, now I feel good.

These boots are not worth the money. First day wearing them it rained a bit they leaked, also hard to lace up, there plain uncomfortable. I am in boots 12hrs a day, if you are too don't buy these. Redwings are the way to go.

True to fit, sturdy, and incredibly comfortable...these boots were made for heavy duty work. Unfortunately, these boots do not go well with my strong desire to be lazy, as they nearly taunt me to pull all-nighter home improvement projects!

I have worn Red Wing (which did not last 8 months, bad for the amount of money you spend), Herman Survivors (cheap, but effective), Brama (lousy construction), Wolverine (simply put, so-so). Many years of wearing steel toe boots and you learn a lot about the ones that are out there. My wife talked me into buying these because I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Now I'm glad she did! She said, "Remember, you get what you pay for." These boots are comfortable enough to run in (beyond belief) , durable (a lot to be said about the brand), and well constructed. Besides, she thinks they're sexy. What more can a guy ask for besides a cold beer or two on a hot day? Oh yeah, they don't look cloddish. At least give them a try...Zappos has a great return policy.

These work boots are as comfortable as described in other reviews. Feels almost like a tennis shoe. Tough and durable looking for the tough man, but yet as comfy as a pair of slippers.

I work on cars 8 hours a day. These boots were comfy right out of the box. Usually I have trouble finding a steel toe boot the doesn't rub blisters on my feet, these boots feel like heavy tennis shoes; they are great. This is my first pair of Timberlands and I will stick with them for my next pair.

I purchased these 'work boots' for me, a woman, even though they are for men. I work around big animals (horses, etc.) & I wanted the steel toe, waterproof features. They look as if they might be heavy, but they are surprisingly, not. They were comfortable & well fitting, the first time I wore them, no breaking in period. I'm very happy with these boots.

These boots are great. Comfortable right out of the box and very well made. I spend a lot of time on a ladder and these boots are very supportive in the arch. All day comfort. Zappos is the best. I wish all online purchases were so convenient.

My husband goes through a pair of work boots a year; the leather wears through to the steel toes. He was able to wear these boots for a full shift straight out of the box; no complaints about having to break them in. Better yet, when he dropped a heavy metal panel on his toes these boots came through 100% unscathed. The double toe really made a difference. He said these work boots are the best he has ever worn and are well worth the premium price. He wears a smallish size, so in the past it has been a frustrating hassle finding stores that carry his size in the style he wants. Zappos is great for a guy who hates to spend his time shopping!

I bought this boot for a trip overseas to Liberia, West Africa. It's rainy season so 'work shoes' ain't cuttin' it. These workhorses move easily from 90 degree sunlit days downtown to gentle drizzle on dusty backroads to grinding downpours on the beach for sand-mining ops. Essentially, these awesome utility boots felt like really sturdy sneakers, if a bit on the heavy side. I give these Tims a full five stars across the board. (Tims tend to run a size large so I usually buy one size smaller than what I wear for Nike.)

I work for utility company for 15 years now. I have bought boots from different companies. Last 8 yrs it was always Redwings but decided to buy Timberlan pro boots. Best boot I ever bought! They are a slight heavy boot but for the comfort and outstanding technology the way this boot is made its awesome! I ordered the boot online size 9.5 they felt a bit too small, but no problem called Zappos rep and told her I need a size 10. Also I purchased the 6" and it will give more than enough support. Great outstanding service from Zappos. Great boot I definitely recommend. The boot is so comfortable it feels like your wearing sneakers! When it comes time to buy a new boot I will only buy Timberland Pro's online from Zappos!

Awesome boots. Very comfortable. Had Red Wing boots before these (might be a local company) they were supposed to be the best around. Paid more for those, bad move. They are worth this price for sure and Zappos is hella fast on shipping. I haven't worn them in a hot environment yet... I will soon though. These are the best I've had for sure.

The height is a little lower than I expected, it's more of a mid-top than a high-top. There's also a little too much room from the top of my foot to the tongue part if not tightened very aggressively. Otherwise, very good overall work boots.

I purchased two pair of these for my sons, and they both say that they are the most comfortable work boots that they have worn. They wear them all the time. The delivery was amazing! They came the next day! This is consistent with other shoes that I've bought for myself. Great service!

Great work boot. Union Laborer/concrete cutter took 2 months before I had to mink oil them and my boots are always getting wet all day. Absolutely great boot.

My grandson is a size 14 and Zappos is almost the only place to buy, after shopping Zappos for awhile now and I would not even look elsewhere. Fastest shipping on any site, best value and fit. I would highly recommend Zappos.

We bought these for my brother-in-law, who works as a journeyman electrician. He has extremely wide feet, and is highly allergic to the dye used in most boots. We tried to find these boots in a lighter (camel) color, but they are not made. So far (it's been about a month) they work wonderfully - no allergic reactions, fit his feet well, seem to be keeping with his crazy schedule/duties. All of this in 100+ degree weather. I would highly recommend these if you are looking for a quality work boot at a good price point.

These boots were very comfortable right out of the box. They beat the heck out of the Red Wings I had last. My only complaint is that they are very heavy. As always Zappos was a pleasure doing business with.

This is the second pair of these boots I've purchased in the last 3 years. Worth every penny. Comfortable and durable. Lots of padding. I operate sewage pumping stations for the County during the week and go Geocaching on weekends. I golf in them. Did I mention they were comfortable? Okay, they're leather, which makes them a little heaver than the lighter, fabric sided boots. In my business, I deal with cast iron parts. Plus, I like waterproof boots. One never knows what one might be walking in.

Exactly as advertised and comfortable with solid construction. A bit on the heavy side but what would you expect from a steel toed boot.

The shoes are nice and solid. Zappos got them to me in the twinkling of an eye! I was pretty surprised. The shoes are reasonable comfortable. The only downside is the weight, but what can you expect from a steel toed\/shank boot? Overall, excellent. I\'m very pleased. If you have worn Timberlands before, the sizing is the same.

Great work boot! Unbelievably comfortable. Love the rubberized toe cap and heel. Virtually eliminates wear and tear (especially on the toe) such as I've experienced on previous boots. Haven't had them on yet in the rain but have no doubts they live up to being waterproof. Highly recommended.

So, I ordered these boots late Thursday night, and I did not ask for quick shipping; however, I received them Friday afternoon. Almost the same day! This is the 3rd pair of boots I ordered from Zappos and I will continue to do so in the future. As for the boots themselves, I don't know much yet. I have had 4 other pairs of Timberlands and have always really liked them. Nothing compares for comfort fight out of the box. My last boots were Docs, and i did like them but they were very bulky compared to Timberlands. I wore them around a little bit and the size feels right. They are very well built and I know they will last. BTW, I am an industrial electrician, on my feet 8-15 hrs a day so my boots have to hold up. I like all of the safety features of Timberlands and they always are updating the features. I am exited to try them out on Monday.
