I bought this shoe for travel - needed something comfortable that gives stability on uneven surfaces yet looks stylish. This shoe is perfect - fits like a glove and is so comfy!!!

Great shoes! They fit wonderfully, are comfortable to walk in for many blocks in cities and even look good too. The heel is high enough to dress them up a bit but not so high that I notice it. I wear a 6.5W and have a moderately high arch. I need to walk distances in cities wearing dressy enough shoes. The I'm very glad to find these shoes.

Love these shoes. I am difficult to fit because I have slightly narrow feet and the strap helps to adjust the shoe to fit. The heel and sole provide you with the best in comfort for all day walking. The inner leather sole keeps feet dry. I bought the shoe in black and brown and if it came in other colors I would buy them too. A must have shoe for all day comfort with some style.

I bought these shoes because of the dressier look and the little bit of height to the heels. I was not disappointed. They look great and best of all they are a great fit and felt wonderful the first time I put them on. I have a narrower than medium size foot and this shoe is a perfect fit. I did need to get used to the height (a pressure feel to my heel), but this was solved with a heel gel cushion from the drug store. The more I wear them the more comfortable they become. I will probably remove the gel cushion and give it another try. I got black and would definitely purchase this shoe again. I love the dressy look.

Extremely comfortable. The shoe has a pointier toe than most comfortable shoes. My foot is pretty wide across my toes, so most dressier shoes hurt, but these are perfect; were perfect from the moment I put them on.

I bought these for traveling because they looked so much better than a sneaker and had a little heel. I now wear them anytime I am going to be on my feet all day. They are perfect, totally comfortable. Love them.

These are fantastic shoes. I bought them for a two week trip to France, and they were perfect. During that trip, I put no less than 15 miles on these shoes, and they felt great. I added a heal cushion and toe cushion for extra comfort, and with thin socks, the shoes were not too snug. I buff and polish on occasion, and they look like new. I wear these to work almost daily now. Great with slacks and jeans. I read one review stating that these would be fine with skirts, but I did not find that to be the case. The heel of the shoe is rubber and too hefty to really look delicate. They are not bulky by any means, but I didn't find them suitable for skirts or dresses--even long ones. Overall, fantastic shoe. A little pricey, but great for a trip.

Just a little narrow for my foot, I would have kept them if not for that--felt good, even without my orthotics.

Although I'm not a fan of the maryjane style, the strap makes for a comfortable adjustment. The shoe looks small on, which doesn't always happen with flat shoes. Good for dress up or dress down. Bought a second pair in brown. Arch could be better.

I did want to love this shoe, but as soon as I put it on I knew it would have to go back. It cuts right into my foot, and left a red mark immediately. I wear a 10 B, and the shoe does otherwise seem to run true to size. It is not too narrow, but may be a tad shallow for me. The shoe is flattering on the foot and has a sleeker line than similar "sensible" Mary Janes. I had intended it for walking to and from the Metro in Washington while dressed for work. I think it would have suited that purpose. Thanks Zappos, for your incredible service! I'll keep trying till I find the right fit and style!

I have a very narrow foot, size 9 1/2, with an especially narrow heel. Also need arch support. I need the Mary Jane strap to keep my foor from slipping forward.\r\n\r\nWhile Ecco doesn\'t usually make a narrow shoe, I can sometimes wear certain Ecco products. I ordered the Rise Mary Jane even though it was a meduim width, just to try. When it arrived, my first impression was that it was far too wide for me, so I expected to return it. However, I decided to wear it at home on the carpet for about a day, wearing thick sox and adding a thin foam liner.\r\n\r\nThis worked very well. I found the shoe to be very comfortable, so I am keeping it. This past weekend, I attended a very long family function and was on my feet for many hours. I wore the Rise Mary Jane and was comfortable all day and all evening. It is a very good shoe.

I have a pair of Ecco Mary Janes that are about 3 years old and they are wonderfully comfortable, and a great walking shoe. I thought I would be getting the same thing with these -- not so. I have blisters on both heels to prove it! Also the area below the big toe rubbed. I am notoriously hard to fit, but since the previous shoes fit so well, I assumed these would too. I think they are "a quarter size" larger than marked. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this shoe.

I love these shoes! I wanted comfortable walking shoes for a trip to Paris. Something dressier than tennis shoes, but still comfortable and supportive enough to wear for extensive walking. These shoes are prefect and can be dressed up or down.

I have such a difficult time to find shoes that are comfortable but I decided to try these after reading all the reviews. I am so pleased I bought the shoes! They are extremely comfortable. I so wanted to keep this shoe because it was so well made and attractive -- both casual and dressy enough for, well, dressier "venues," clothes, etc. But alas, the narrower-than-usual (for a Mary Jane-type shoe) toe box made them less than totally comfortable on my feet -- and I am seeking, without success so far -- the perfect wear-all-day+ in Europe walking shoe. Great service from Zappos as usual tho'!

This shoe is so good looking and comfortable that I bought a second pair! Wore these on a European trip daily and was never so happy with a pair of shoes. They are my everyday favorite pair.
