These Dr. Marten's are the most comfortable, sure-footed winter boot I have ever owned! They are warm, practically slip-proof on lots of ice. I love them! And I love Zappos. Best shoe store ever.

I ordered these for my 19 year old daughter who wears Docs and attends college at a high altitude/mountain university. We were thrilled to find Docs with a winter lining! They cam overnight delivery and she absolutely loves them! The leather is soft enough to wear out of the box (unlike some Docs) and the lining is soft and warm. Even with ski socks on they fit just perfect. I plan to get some for me!

These boots were exactly what I wanted, and I made them even better by substituting the shoe strings that came with them with yellow and brown laces like the older Docs came.

Gotta love the classic Doc Martens boot with the added benefit of the warm Sherpa inside layer. I ordered this boot in a half size smaller than my foot (I wear an 8.5 and sometimes a 9, but that isn't offered) because I heard they ran large. I will say they are a bit tight, but a much better fit and look than the size up (which Zappos sent to me for free just to see how it fit!). Hence, if an 8.5 were offered that would probably be perfect for me. These boots look great and are warm! I live in Cali, so I don't really need the warmth, but I'm working in Colorado now, and they are nice and snug.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Nice, soft leather. Good winter boots. My feet are narrow, and these fit perfectly, although usually Doc Martens run a bit wide. I did put an insole in to give me some more arch support.

These boots fit like a glove and are super comfortable!I love them! I normally wear a 7.5-8.0 and the size 8 fits perfectly. My feet are wide, so I assume the boot runs a little on the wide side. I think most Doc's do. The insole comes out and this makes it easier for my orthotic to fit inside. The leather is soft and I felt like I could wear them right out of the box!

These shoes are the best! They are exactly like the picture. The outside is really nice smooth suede while the inside feels like heaven! The material lining the inside is very nice, when I tried them on they look so cute. This winter will be great with these shoes. I advise buying suede cleaner and also ordering a size larger. I wear a women's 10 and I ordered an 8, yes an '8' and it fits perfect! I love Zappos! I always get my packages the next day! How awesome is that?!

I normally wear 7.5 and this 7 fit fine, with a moderately thick winter sock. Very comfortable right away, the leather is less stiff than I expected (not at all!). It should be noted that the fleece lining is polyester/acrylic, not wool as noted in the description, so I really hope these will still be warm since I chose these for that purpose.

These boots do not come in half sizes and I normally wear a 9 1/2 or 10 so I ordered a 10. They were at least a full size too big and too wide. Unfortunate because they are really cute!

I knew better when I ordered them but still had hope. The Docs that are not made in England are such substandard quality it's like dealing with 2 different shoe companies. The soles are different, the leather is shoddy, thanks but no thanks. I'll keep wearing my 15 year old Docs that were made in England.

I bought this boots for the cold and they are working great. I'm in love with these boots. I def going to start buying more Docs!!

These boots are comfortable, well-made and warm with Sherpa lining. I wear 7.5 and ordered size 5, was told they run large. With thin socks it would be fine, but was uncomfortable on the length with medium weight merino wool socks. I reordered a size 6 and they are perfect with medium or heavy socks. Didn't need a break in period. Perfect out of box if appropriate size ordered. Well made, perfect in city snow and ice with heavy soles. Looks a great and well made! Perfect purchase!

Like other reviewers mentioned, these seem to fit differently than the Docs of the 90's, particularly across the top of the foot above the arch. However, after a few wears they do stretch and become more comfortable. Aside from that, these also seem to have no other break-in period. The entire inner shoe is lined with fleece so they're much warmer, comfortable, and super cute. I love mine!

These boots fit true to size indicated (I'm a 10 and the 8 as with all my Docs is the perfect fit). The disappointment came when I saw the lining isn't a lining at all but just "fur" at the ankle part. I wanted these to keep my feet warm, not my ankles. Otherwise they seemed a bit lighter than my regular Docs and definitely not as stiff. They were soft right out of the box. Perfect if you aren't concerned about cold feet and want cozy ankles!

I've been wearing Docs for years and they always fit perfectly and wear well. They must have changed the design of women's boots and now they are narrower and tighter over the bridge of my foot. I'm returning these and going to see if they make a wider version or I'll have to switch to mens. Not happy.
