My new Maui Jim's came fast and just in time for my vacation in Puerto Vallarta. They fit like a glove and look even better on. And the price was the best I found anywhere else.

Love the look of these, but boy they can break easily. I've broken 2 pair now from them falling off my head. Also, if you wear moisturizer or suntan lotion around your eyebrows, the lenses can get dirty quick.

I took a chance in spite of other reviewers warning that the glasses tend to break. So far no problem (two months), although I've been extra cautious. They look good, provide excellent coverage, and stay put over my eyes or on the top of my head.

My all time favs! Warranty is amazing too! Best ever. I have bought two pairs, first pair in the ocean, Myrtle Beach. I just shipped mine back to Maui to get repaired. They fell off my head and lens cracked. I'm going through withdrawals while they are gone. Couldn't recommend enough! Oh, and they don't pull you hair when they are on your head! That's a biggie!

I love the lenses and the style and the soft rubbery nose piece. I can slide these up in my hair and they won't get caught or pull my hair. The only con is they are just a little big for my head/face. I will keep them anyway.

My parent recently went to Hawaii and fell in love with these sunglasses and picked up a brochure at a quaint little shop there. When my dad's birthday came around, I looked at it and just for fun, went to the Zappos website (I shop here a lot) and was amazed to find exactly the ones my dad wanted. He was blown away when he opened the box. He thought he had to call the shop he picked up the brochure in and have them shipped from Hawaii. Thanks again for the great service and for making me a hero.

These sunglasses are fine! I bought them for boating and for beach activities since the lenses allow for saltwater. I want to correct the other review, though; these lenses are not glass and I don\'t think they will chip if you drop them. They look expensive. I do find they get dirtier than others since they fit so close to the face; however, because of the fit, when I wear them on top of my head, they fall off much less than other styles.

Maui Jim's Kula - They look nice and stylish without being too blingy. The lens is crisp and clear. The weight feels fine on my nose. They aren't too heavy like some of the other Maui Jim sunglasses. The nose pads are very comfortable. The amber color is nice. You can use these in the blaring sun. Love them. Will never buy another brand. Worth the extra $$. They are just a little bulky, but they give you a case to go with the glasses. Not a big deal. If you tend to drop your sunglasses, don't get these. There is no protection around the lens. I am sure they will chip since they are made of glass. We are in the Caribbean quite a bit. These types of sunglasses will save your eyes from sun damage!

Maui Jim has an awesome warranty for any of their sunglasses. The only complaint is that the designers of the glasses do not take into account how we live our lives on boats. Why would a plastic lens break in the middle of the nose piece...? duh... figure it out; you should place an engineered piece that cuts the plastic in half like all of the other sunglass designers. When you are living in the Bahamas and other outland places while cruising you can't send the glasses back to be fixed. Fix the problem and then sell the model of glasses that look so cool.

Look great and vision is so clear through these lenses. However, bought first pair last April (2010) and broke in half after one month. Able to get replacement but that one is now cracked down middle of lens, appearing ready to break in half again! Poor design because lens can't take any flexibility at nose bridge so breaks easily.

I wrote the review on 10/26/09 and wanted to update that these glasses fell off of my face in July while we were in Key West. I bent down from a sitting position and when they hit the floor, they cracked in half right at the bridge of the nose. I understand Maui Jim will fix or replace them, so as soon as I remember, I'll ship then off for warranty work. They definitely weren't as sturdy as I was hoping they were.

I LOVED my Kula except for the fact they've broken in the middle twice now. I think they're too heavy without proper support in the middle of the lenses. I still love Maui Jim sunglasses but I wish they'd repair these without cost since this is the SECOND time being repaired for the same problem.

I had these glasses for two months and they broke in half at the nose. I would not buy these again.

This is another update. I had written saying I love my Maui Jim Kula. Then I wrote saying they fell off my head in Key West and cracked in half over the nose bridge. Now I'm updating to say I finally sent them in to be repaired (10.00 fee) and they just called me to say it is going to cost 70.00 (10.00 fee plus 60.00 for the replacement lenses) to repair them. I told them I wasn't happy about this, as I was sorely disappointed in the fact that the lenses broke in such a benign way (they fell off my head while I was bending down from a sitting position). I honestly don't think I would purchase Maui Jim again based on this experience, and the fact that I find my Kaenon sunglasses to be FAR superior to Maui Jim. In fact, I'm sitting here thinking maybe I should cancel the repair, throw the Jims away and put the 70.00 toward a new pair of Kaenon. I mean think about it, 2 of 4 reviews-- 50% of the people who purchased these glasses-- had the lenses crack in half. (remember I wrote 2 reviews, now 3 counting this one). That doesn't seem to be an acceptable quality control issue. Small sample size, I know, but this is also what online reviews are for. Good luck.

I absolutely love Maui Jim lenses but my Kula sunglasses have also cracked twice in the same spot after dropping. I had them repaired once, but I am not interested in investing so much for lenses that will easily crack again. Both times the glasses fell from my hands, as I am ginger when handling them, and both times the lens cracked at the nose piece. I do not advise purchasing this model, though in general I think Maui Jim quality is solid.
