This glasses are wonderful. In a very shiny day you use them and reduces all glare and gives you very clear sight.

I really like these sunglasses. They have an old school look. The lenses are great… everything looks clear and glare is practically non-existent. I did find that after a bit of wear the frame needed adjustment. However, I'm keeping them. The metal frame takes a bit of getting used to after years of wearing plastic.

I ordered replacement sunglasses after breaking my Kahuna's from Zappos. I ordered the wrong shade of glass and frames, only realizing this after receiving my order. Zappos shipped me the correct sunglasses in one day from the east coast free of charge to replace my mistake. I did not have to wait until they received my return. The glasses are perfect and the customer service is the best I've ever received, ordering most of my stuff from the internet for the past 15 years. Absolutely unprecedented service!

These are excellent sunglasses. The view is crisp and clear and they really protect your eyes. I am only giving them 4 stars for two reasons. first one is quality. The quality seems a bit off. They do not feel as Maui Jim's have in the past. Second reason is I feel the brow bar could have been smaller and less protruding.

Love the design and functionality of these great sunglasses - so much so that these are my 2nd pair (1st were stolen)! I love everything about these glasses - fit, durability, photonic properties, and small form factor. Only issue is that the cloth carrying bag is poorly sewn at the draw strings - it came unraveled within a week, as it did with my previous pair of Kahunas. My other MJ eyewear bags do not have this issue; recommend MJ QA/QC these bags better. Bottom line: amazing eyewear, recommend to anyone.

I bought these as a replacement to the whaler wrap around pair I owned for many years that has been unfortunately discontinued by Maui Jim . Not that these glasses aren't good but I feel the wrap around style provided better all around protection from the wind as well as side protection from bright sunlight

I turned to these after a rimless model (Kumu) broke after just two days. Zappos paid the freight for the return and credited my card without question right away. I got the Kahuna since I figured it would be sturdier. No doubt it is. My wife says she likes how they look better than the Kumus. I do too, but they are very different sunglasses. The Kumu is light and great for active use. The Kahuna is rather heavy and the ear pieces don't grip by head well, so they tend to slide down my nose. I noticed this at the beach when sweat and sun lotion made it hard to keep them poised when walking or even sitting. They look great. They are great for driving, or reading a book in the sand. But I may need a different pair for more active use.

These were my first pair of MJ's and they are my favorite sunglasses I've ever owned! The past five years I have purchased two more pairs (World Cup and Spartan Reef) and will be purchasing another pair very soon. I've tried a few different brands and liked Ray Bans but these are on a different level. No comparison! I would definitely recommend these to family and friends. A bit pricey but the quality is better than most brands I've tried. Lenses are very good but all shades are not available on all frames. Also the blue lenses are not available in Rx.

I finally made the jump to a higher priced MJ. I've only purchased the lower priced versions until recently. I bought the Kahunas and I love them. The only issue I have is they seems to "creak" when I hold the arms and put them on. I think the plastic covering the arms isn't perfect causing the noise. Aside from that these are the best sunglasses I've ever had on my face. The color is incredible, even when it's not direct sunlight. Plus they look great, very distinguished. I will be buying a pair of these for my wife very soon. I purchased these from Zappos because they have the best service and they are so easy to do business with. Don't buy these, or anything else, from another retailer. I bought a pair of Oakleys from Sunglass Hut and they would not exchange them for a different pair (brand new, never worn). Horrible customer service. Thanks Zappos!

I have 6 pairs of non-prescription MJ sunglasses and love them. I purchased these as prescription and am always dizzy when I wear them. I discussed with my optomotrist and between the curved lens and the wrap around frame it causes me distortion. Some people are more sensitive than others. As a result, after large investment I am unable to wear them. If they were non-prescription they would be great for me.

They are very good, but they are quite heavy when you wear them for a long time, eventually you start to notice how heavy they are and you get that unpleasant feeling on your head. Other than that they are really good, but for the pricetag that they have, I would not recommend them to someone.

First, let me say that I really love Maui Jim products, such great quality and feel. I have several different pairs of sunglasses and they all perform great! My problem is that *ALL* of them have had to have lenses replaced, and this particular pair of Kahuna's is now going in for it's *THIRD* lens replacement. I think this is 5th or 6th time in total over a 6-7 year period for all of our Maui shades... Look, I totally get that the glass lenses are superior to plastics and that glass is not as durable, but this is getting frustrating. I have high end readers (Porsche Design) that go with me everywhere, that I've sat on and stepped on countless times. and I drop them several times a day without a scratch or crack (yes, also glass lenses). I've also clearly learned my lesson so I'm very careful, but they are supposed to be "active wear", so should be able to handle 2-3 feet drops onto normal surfaces without almost a guaranteed cracked lens...

First time they fall off your face they are broken.....I have had at least 10 pair of Kahuna's over the last 18 years.....I keep them in a bag as a remembrance of the lost money.....Also, don't use Windex to clean them or the inside glare coating will be washed away....Great glasses as long as you don't actually use them.

I wanted to replace my 20 year old Kahuna sunglasses and I see they now only make them in gunmetal gray. Why have they eliminated the copper-colored ones, which I owned And love? Please start making them again - they go so well with your HCL Bronze lenses!

I bought Hakuna sunglasses 3 years ago from Sunglass Hut and I really liked it. I was very accurate for my sunglasses, never doped it and didn't have any scratches. After 3 years right lens started peeling (or some problem inside the lens). I came to Maui Jim repair center in Mississauga and my glasses were replaced. I was very pleased it was done for free (payed completely nothing). But after closed look I found it was repaired before and not very accurate. I can see big frame gap on the left side, some frame crack on right. Not sure how long this going to last, but I probably won't buy it again.

I have had 3 glasses replaced/repaired because when I put the sunglasses on my head it weakens the frames and the lenses will fall out and break upon impact.

Had a pair of Kahuna sunglasses for over 3 years and LOVE them. I recently lost them and immediately replaced with a pair from Zappos. When I got them, something had changed. The frame-sides have either been changed by MJ or these are some type of manufactures error and that's why Zappos can sell them for $50 less than you can find them anywhere else. I wore these every day for 3 straight years and the second I touched the new pair I could tell the frames were cheaper. They made a clicking noise when opening and closing them (the plastic clicking pieces clicking off of each other) and it felt like the kind of cheap material you would find on a cheap child's toy. It's not a matter of "breaking them in" and my original pair was higher quality from the first time I held them. I was and am VERY disappointed. I didn't even try them on because it didn't matter, they were being sent back. I will be replacing these either from Maui Jim directly or in person where I can verify the quality.

I have owned prescription Maui Jim sunglasses for years and love them - in fact I really can't go outside during daylight hours without them. I've lost a pair in a lake during vacation - called and paid a local diver to retrieve them. Last week I tried to purchase my next pair - the Kahuna - only to be told my prescription is no longer being made - how can that be?!?! I was wearing my beloved Maui's as the news was being delivered.
