These run big. I wear size 7 and they look like a 7.5. Returning.

It broke within a couple hours of walking on flat, paved terrain. Very disappointed

My daughter loves these sandals! The wrap around the ankle is adorable yet comfortable. We would buy again in other colors

These are the same fit as other Birkenstocks for me - I always wear a 38 in Birks and I don't find these to be any bigger or smaller than usual. The arch support is excellent and they're a really cute and comfortable shoe. My only issue with them is that the ankle strap is quite short. I have average sized ankles and wear these on the loosest buckle hole, and they're fairly snug. The strap isn't long enough to poke another hole if needed. I'm hoping since they're real leather the strap will stretch a little as I break them in, but be aware that if you have bigger ankles these will probably not fit. For reference my ankles are 23 cm around where the strap hits.

The shoe itself fit really well, but the ankle strap was too short, and I could not buckle it. I really wanted to keep these shoes, but since I couldn't buckle the strap, I couldn't keep them.

These are by far my favorite Birkenstock shoes. The Yara sandals are cute, stylish, and feel amazing on my feet. For reference, I wear a size 6.5 - 7 medium width shoe in women's. My size in Birkenstocks is 37 narrow (most of the shoes are very wide), but in the Yara sandals I wear a regular 37 and the fit is great. (Does this mean the shoe width is smaller than other Birkenstocks? I would say yes. Sidebar when I ordered these the shoes were not available in narrow, and I'm not sure if they come in narrow width. Personally, I love these shoes and think they fit great. The strap size is also perfect for me (I wear them on the tightest hole).

I love these shoes, but unfortunately, I am returning them as the 36 (smallest size) is more like a 5.5-6.0. Too long for my foot. I WISH Birkenstock made these in size 35.

Love love love these shoes, so pretty and so comfy. A little stiff on the straps but will loosen up. Very cute. Worth the money.

I bought my first pair of Birkenstock Gizehs four years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. They quickly molded to my feet and I wore them nonstop for months, including exclusively for a two week walking vacation while I was six months pregnant. My feet changed after both pregnancies (arches fell a bit, feet now a little bit wider - C width - across the tops of my feet) and my Gizehs were now uncomfortable almost immediately after putting them on. Initially, I tried to just reorder the Gizehs, but the widest part of my feet extends over the sides of them, which I don't like. I ordered the following sandals to try and replace the Gizehs: Yara - kept, love these and the ankle strap, definitely keeping them, feet do slide a little but nothing uncomfortable, will try tightening the straps, takes an extra minute to put them on due to the straps, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Granada - returning, uncomfortable both times I tried them on, thinking that it's the multiple cutouts in the straps (which look cute but hurt my skin if I try to walk), feet definitely fully fit on footbed Arizona - deciding, super comfortable trying on but they look so clunky, also feel like my feet slide forward a lot, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Mayari - deciding, super comfortable trying on, just wondering if they're too similar to the Yaras, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed

I read there is a “break in period” for these shoes. I’m guessing 4 months is not enough. I regret buying these and I’m sure I’m past the return window. They will not break in. I am always getting blisters from them. I can’t wear them longer than a couple hours. I don’t spend $100 on shoes often unless they are running shoes. At least I know those are comfortable.

I have a wide foot and it feels great. May be too wide for a narrow foot. High arch needs some breaking in, but then it becomes your foot’s best friend. Gives your Birki a nice style kick!

The ankle strap was surprisingly comfortable, though it does gap a bit when you're standing with your foot flat. I returned them due to the toe strap, which started at the center of my big toe, versus at my foot like a flipflop. Something to beware of if you have long toes.

Originally ordered the 39 as I'm a 8-8.5 and they were way too big on the length. Dropped down to 38 and they fit well. I have horrible arthritis in my feet, bunions, and fallen arches, as well as broken ankle from 20 years ago. Love the high arch and ankle wrap. I have slim ankles, and I wear them on the 2nd tightest link, so I can see where people with average or thicker ankles may have a problem with them not being long enough. These sandals take some getting used to and need a break-in period, as well as playing with the straps to get a not too tight fit, but if not tight enough my foot slides around in the bed. I ended up with a blister on my inset from wearing them walking around town the second day. I find it hard to wear most of the Birkenstock sandals as I need some type of ankle or heel strap to stabilize my foot in the sandal. Also, I find that sometimes Birkenstocks in general are either too big at size 39, or too small at size 38, so I'm surprised these fit so well. I seem to be a size 8.25 and it's hard to find a good fit. I've also noticed that the thong helps to straighten my bunion angle, and the high arch helps with pronation. A keeper! 4 stars though, as the ankle strap is awkward and you can't just slip into these sandals and go, as well as the blister I encountered with foot slippage. They look good on my feet and unlike so many other "support" sandals, I don't feel like I'm wearing clown shoes.

I’m a size 7 but but the 38 was too large on me despite it being recommended for size 7-7.5. I wouldn’t buy supportive shoes because I thought they didn’t suit my style but Birkenstocks ended up being my solution!

I love these Birks! They are my second pair - exact same style. They last forever and I literally live in them year round! My last pair lasted over 2 years of continuous use. I have flat feet and these provide me with the support I need to put miles in on vacations or days out and about and still look cute while maintaining stability and healthy feet! The straps keep the sandal connected to my feet for more comfort!

I listened to other reviews and sized down (I wear an 8.5 and ordered a 7-7.5). Big mistake! My toes were hanging over the edge...so back they go. They’re very cute and I’m sure they will be ridiculously comfortable, just like my other Birks so of course I’ll re-order.

I 've been wanting to order this style for a long time, and so glad I did. I first ordered the size 38 as it said 7-7.5, but there was too much room in the heel, so ordered a size smaller (37), and this is perfect. The leather is high quality. A bit stiff but I know with time it will soften. I love how the sandal feels really secure on my feet. The wrap around ankle looks great with cropped jeans or capris. very happy with may purchase, and as always with Zappos service, even during these times, was awesome! Thank you Zappos, und Danke Birkenstock!

I typically wear a 41 in Danskos and my other Birks but chose to size down to a 40 based on other reviews. I'm glad I did because they fit perfectly. I got them in the Tobacco color, which is a little lighter than what I was expecting. I should have went with the tried and true dark brown. I'm going to exchange them and cannot wait to rock these all summer long! I gave them 4 stars for comfort because I haven't really worn them yet but had no problems strapping them up like I read about in some reviews.

The size and fit are great! True of other birks that I have purchased in the past. The leather on the great toe rubbed initially but that went away after a couple of days wearing them. The leather ankle strap softened up too, although it is slightly thicker than I had in my mind, but these still provide a super stylish change to the birks I already own. Overall, I give them a 4.2/5 stars!

I love the style and have received many compliments. I did get small blisters where straps cross on ankle and toe first wearing, but now it's fine

Love, love! I have bunions and this shoe works to protect and support my feet! Recommend for problem feet that need arch support. May need to purchase few days ahead for some break in, wear time if you’re purchasing for a trip but overall a great sandal!
