Very stable and responsive - Not a speed shoe, but very rugged and stable on rough trails. Excellent for combo run-hikes and even a little bouldering.

Great Hikers - These shoes are so comfortable and lightweight, and look cool too. I think they are one of the best in its class, having returned a pair of Go-lites due to gooberish design issues. I love to soles that grip away and the mesh sides keep you aerated and cool.

Awesome Stability - Love these shoes. Although they are trail shoes I've only run them on the road about a half dozen times and they are awesome. Great stability and even when I'm getting tired they hold me up. Haven’t tried any big mileage in them yet just about 4 miles or so at a time but very satisfied. Recommend them!

Previously I had a pair of Ecco for my daily use (moderate amount of walking/standing) and was very pleased with them but looking to replace at a reasonable price. I got these North Face and find them comfortable but they don't provide quite as much cushioning, but still very reasonable. They look good, actually maybe a little better than expected. As far as sizing, pretty close, if anything very slightly on the small size.

I like the way they look and they have held up well to daily torture. I used the size from my last pair of North Face shoes to buy these and they are definitely too big. I would go at least a half size smaller.

This is a good shoe. I've worn it for over a month now and my feet feel good in it. It's a good buy considering the price, and the only real drawback I've noticed is that on some (so far only unnatural) surfaces it is slippery when wet. Probably because it is new, but not really a huge deal.

A little stiff - These sneakers are great, but I think they should be a little softer...

Great for hiking - I wore these shoes hiking out west, and right from the start they were very comfortable. They did not need any break in period. They have great tread, and provided great traction for hiking on steep rocks. They were also great when stepping on slippery rocks in a creek. These shoes allow your foot to breathe so it doesn't get too hot, although, they do allow your foot to get wet if walking in wet grass. Highly recommend this shoe.

These shoes are quite comfortable for walking. I bought them for a recent trip to Nicaragua, and was quite satisfied with how they performed on the trip. I climbed Volcan Maderas (a full day strenuous hike) and they got completely covered in mud. However, they have held up quite poorly since then. They are folded over on the toe and I have resorted to wearing older shoes as a matter of preference. The shoe support is still rather good, but I would not order these shoes again.

Have to send these back. Size 12 is too small and 13 are a good 1.5" too long. Until they make a 12.5 in men’s I will not purchase Northface. Too bad, they have great looking and comfortable shoes. I am very disappointed.

I bought these to replace a pair of New Balance trail running shoes because I didn't like the colors of the New Balance line at the time. While the styling is nice and not too "out there", the quality of construction doesn't seem as high as the NB shoes. The inside of the back heel has already ripped a big hole after only a few months. They shoes are fairly comfortable and provide good traction on the ice & snow of Chicago's streets and sidewalk, where I wear them mostly.

Terrible shoes, back heel tore out after 10 miles out in a canyon. 10 miles back and I now have the biggest painful blister ever! Stay away from these if your a serious hiker that cannot afford to throw away money. Will be calling them on their warranty when i get back from my now ruined vacation.
