Like a previous reviewer, I paired these Montrail Enduros with my Asics running shoes to create the most pain free footwear I've had in a while. I too suffer from I think plantar fasciitis, heel/ arch pain as well as forefoot pain if there is too much torsional flex in the shoe. I've tried the majority of aftermarket insoles out there, as well as expensive custom molded. All of which seemed to cause more pain. I reluctantly tried these. The first pair of shoes I tried theme in was a firmer trail running shoe (Salomon 3D Ultra). That didn't prove to be so great because of the firmness of the shoe's sole. I could actually feel the hard plastic of the Montrail insole pressing against my heel. I sort of put the insoles away for a while with my vast collection of little used aftermarket insoles. Some months later I purchased the Asics Gel Aztec, and Gel Kahana 4. These 2 trail running shoes (both built on the same platform) are the most cushioned trail running shoes I've ever worn. I would say that they're probably a little too cushy on their own for uneven terrain but after adding the Montrail insoles they add more stability and a bit more arch support which I needed with the Asics shoes. I've tried the heat moldable insoles made by Sole but they are just too firm for my tender feet and just didn't seem to mold to my feet after a couple attempts. The Montrails conformed much better, especially in the forefoot. I suspect they would even conform to your feet without the oven process by just wearing them for a while in warm weather. I plan to try that with this next pair I'm buying. That may even keep the material from compressing as much, retaining more cushion. I didn't set out to write a review for four products here but here you go. And they're all available here at the #1 shoe store on the web. You're welcome, Zappos!

I have been having heel pain for a few months now that started on the left foot and is now on the other side and moving into my arches. I was fearful of plantar faciitis. What I did not expect when I put these in my Klogs was almost instant relief. I have no pain when walking. When you warm these up to conform to your feet and stand for two minutes afterward, you do not realize how off-balance you are (I am anyway), or how much weight I put on the right vs. left side. I am very happy I found something right away that worked.

Over the past few years I have spent a fortune on shoes, inserts etc. to help with my plantar fasciitis. Nothing worked! Somebody told me to try the Montrail Enduro-Sole. Since I'd already spent a fortune on insoles I thought what's one more! I'm so glad I did. Finally, after years of suffering from foot pain I've find to right combo of Asics running shoes and the Montrail Enduro-Sole! Pain free! Love these insoles they are the best!

This is a lovely pair. Loved the idea of heat customizing the insert and found that they fit well in my hiking shoes. Did not fill in the shoe too much like some inserts do. I've used these on 9-mile hikes through damp, humid conditions and these sailed right through it. No hot spots and plenty of support for my tender feet.

I lost an insole to my Clarks Unstructured I forget which model, but these were better than the originals. Gonna order a second set for my running shoes.

Worth the money - This is what I've been searching for. My hip and foot pain is gone. I have a very high arch and have trouble with shoes. I have spent a fortune on shoes trying to find a comfortable pair. This insole in my Brooks tennis shoes seem to be the answer.

I bought a pair of the Montrail Molokini Women's sandals a few years ago, and I fell in love with them. They are very sturdy, molded to my feet perfectly after the heat-up in the oven, I cannot say enough about them. I even wore them in the winter with toe socks. They are just great! So, they disappeared one day after I put them in the back yard to air out. I never knew what happened to them, but I was one disappointed camper! I have replaced them, and I have the same love for those sandals! I am diabetic, so I see a podiatrist regularly to make sure my feet are ok. He saw my sandals one day and said, "You should not wear sandals, you know, but those you can wear!" What a guy! He approved, so I was thrilled. I have now purchased a pair of the Enduro-Soles, and they are just as wonderful. The cushioning is great, there is no rubbing or anything of that nature, just a good feeling for my feet! Thanks for a great product, Montrail, and thank you, Zappos!

I have bought 3 pair of these insoles since 2008 and put them in every shoe/boot I own. These insoles are great for someone with a high arch. These blow Superfeet out of the water.

The best insoles I've found, and I paid much more for some others. Make sure not to heat the least bit beyond the two minutes - I turned the oven off but left the second one in it while I positioned the first insole. The one I left in buckled a little at the toe and I had to trim that part off. My fault, though. I highly recommend these.

One of if not the best on the market today. I use these not only in my running shoes but ALL of my shoes and boots. Great support and comfort levels.

I love these insoles! I use them now instead of the orthotic insoles that I had fitted for me from my orthopedist. I like that they mold somewhat to my foot and that they are very cushiony.

I was pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of these inserts. I have had ongoing foot pain especially after walking golf courses and yard work. These seemed to offer needed additional support not given by the inserts that came with even high end golf and athletic shoes. Would definitely recommend them.

I have high arches and have struggled with insoles wearing out before shoes do. These are a great fit and allow me to keep wearing shoes for longer without killing my feet.

As always, I love Zappos! This insert did help my feet feel better during the boot camp classes that I teach. I would recommend to anyone else with heel and arch issues!

These insoles are better than custom insoles made by physical therapists for 3 times the cost! I have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, so I've tried almost everything.

These are the greatest inserts. I love the arch support. I have off and on issues with plantar fasciitis. These also help to keep that pain away.

I stand on my feet 8 hours a day dealing black jack. I tried Dr. that I purchased at the discount store. These made my feet worse since they did not go all the way to the toes. I had blisters on my feet on the inside of my foot in front of my heel. I have worn them in 2 different pairs of shoes and have not had the blisters come back, it holds my foot secure very comfortable. Can't wait to see what they feel like in a new pair of good shoes. Thanks to a company like Zappos that care and follow up on purchases of footwear.

Best cushioning & foot fit of all the insoles I tried. Great for alleviating knee pain. It fit right out of the package, & did not need to be molded.

These have good support, but I have to agree with other posts - DON'T HEAT THEM! The top layer of fabric becomes detached and bunches when you try to insert them after heating. I was watching for this and quickly smoothed them out and allowed them to cool completely before inserting so they're not ruined, but it's very disappointing because I wear Montrail thermo sandals when work great by heating in the oven. Too bad these soles aren't made of that same foam - forget the fabric liner Montrail! I would buy again though for the support and just not bother heating at all unless they change the design.

Good insoles. Good arch support and conform to your feet. They are quite thick and soft with good cushioning. The only negative is that they made my running shoes feel pretty snug and they were about a quarter inch too short for my size 8 running shoes and the next size up was too long.

I have narrow feet, supinate, and have high arches and initially loved this insert in my runners. After adding a pair of the inserts to both of my running shoe styles (I alternate between Brooks and Hoka), and then adding then adding Superfeet inserts to my Asolo hiking boots, I developed painful Plantar Fasciitis. Over the year using the super arch support (where I could feel the inserts pressure against my arches) it eventually weakened my natural arch, I finally realized what I need isn't more support, but less. This may not be true for you, but be wary.

I read the reviews. It sounded like this was the solution. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered these inserts are so thick, I could not make them work in any pair of my shoes. These are industrial strength inserts for use in running shoes that have stretched out or were too large. Boo! But I still love you Zappos.
