I've purchased many running shoes in my life. This shoe has by far been the best running shoe I have used. Great pair of shoes.

I have had these shoes for over a year now, they are still going strong, and I am hard on shoes. These were definitely true to size, and fit perfectly! Also, they were shipped so fast I couldn't believe it! Thanks Zappos!

I'm no shoe expert but these are the best everyday shoes I've ever owned and definitely a great set of running/biking/working out shoes. Didn't have the color I wanted but that's not a big deal. Great arch support and very breathable. I have strangely narrow feet and the B size is perfect me. Very positive experience, another satisfying Zappos purchase, awesome shoes.

Reasonably priced and Asics is the best fit I've found for my 11.5 4E feet. What's nice about the black material under the mesh as opposed to the white is that they look cleaner longer.

Outstanding shoe for gym workouts. ASICS has been at the forefront of running and cross training shoes for many years.

I've never ordered shoes online before, but I was impressed with Zappos' business philosophy, so I thought I'd give them a try. I was always a fan of Asics, and particularly their GT-2130. I received my 2140's faster than promised, and immediately went for a run. The 2140's provide, for me, the perfect balance of stability and cushioning in a lightweight training shoe. I ordered the B width to accommodate my narrow foot. Its design still provides plenty of room in the toebox for forefoot comfort. I did have a bit of a hot spot under my right arch at first, but it was minor, and has since disappeared. The 2140 is a continuation in the line which has proven to be my "go to" training shoe.

A very comfortable shoe with great arch support. I was using Kayano XIIs and they felt paper thin under the front part of my foot. Not so with these. Feels like the toe box is ventilated, too. Only Asics for me from now on.

I read through the reviews for this shoe and found most of the negative reviews were due to the wearer not the product. Proper sizing is something everyone should due themselves as it is easy! This is my fourth pair of Asics. I love this shoe! Everyone has a preference in shoe. If it works for you, stick with it. I will be sticking with Asics.

Comfortable great fit right out of the box as well as a great looking shoe. I have low back problems and find that Asics 2140 work great for me.

Love this shoe! I've been wearing the Asics GT-2130's the past few years and was very disappointed when I found they were no longer being made. The Zappos website directed me to a 'similar' shoe, the GT-2140, and sure enough, they're every bit as good as their predecessor. I picked up the last 2 pair in my color/size choices.

Price was right for a high performance running shoe like the Asics GT-2140. I have an older pair and ordered the same type, so I wasn't concerned with fit because I knew it would. The sneakers arrived quickly. However, the only issue I had is the left sneaker was missing its top left shoe lace hole. I had to make my own!

For me, these are an excellent value and great fit. They have just the right balance of stability and cushioning. I am using thin cotton socks with them. Before these, I was using Asics Gel Cumulus II, which was much wider in fit which required thick socks to fill the width. Don't know why they are sized so differently, but the 2140 are a better fit for my long, narrow feet. Very pleased.

I purchased these for my teenage son's school trip to Italy. He needed a comfortable pair of shoes to walk in and I new the old stand-bys (Van's) wouldn't cut it. He has a wide foot and usually wears New Balance for athletic shoes. We ordered three pair of NB and one pair of ASICS, as well. We are new to this brand but I'm pleased with the results. My son preferred the appearance and fit of the ASICS, even going so far as to say these "looked cool". He wore them a few times before his big trip but they seemed comfortable from the beginning and didn't require much breaking in, at all. We'll see how they hold up to 8 days of touring Venice, Florence, and Rome!

These shoes are great for people with high arches. I learned about duo max when I was diagnosed with plantar fascitis. All Asics Duo Max shoes prevent the shock that shoots from the heel area and upward. As a teacher it is essential that I am pain free. They don't run too large or small which is beneficial when ordering online.

Quality running shoe at a good price. Light, comfortable, and supportive. No wonder it's a top seller. Zappos' service couldn't have been better. Fast, free shipping, and a great return policy, not that I needed it.

As a teacher, I tend to stand/walk a lot during the day. I've looked for other shoes which would look decent and be comfortable. These are the ONLY ones I've ever found which foot the bill...no pun intended! They "breathe" well also. This is my third pair of the same shoe. Asics upped the model number a bit, but the shoe is virtually the same look and feel. My only regret is that I can't find this same shoe in a brown or tan which might look good with khaki type pants. That issue is for Asic's to resolve and is not a Zappo's problem. As for Zappo's.....give me a "Z", give me an "A", give me a "P", give me.....you should get the point!!!!! You're a winner with Zappo's!!!!

Excellent Shoe. Two of my sons have them & we are on our second pair after being recommended by a podiatrist. They were having heal spurs from sports. Zappos is great, I don't have to drive all over town looking for these shoes. Order at 10pm and they are on your doorstop at 3pm the next day!

The 2100 series Asics basically saved my distance running career. I have struggled with Achilles tendonitis and Plantar Fasciitus until I started wearing these exclusively. It also took the proper stretching and icing programs, but I give these shoes a lot of the credit. They don't tend to last as long as some others I have had, after about 250-300 they start feeling worn. My only complaint about these is the toe protection doesn't correspond to where my big toenail rubs the top of the shoe. I have a hole worn in the toe of them after less than 75 miles. That is probably unique to me and my odd feet, and that is about the only thing I can find to complain about.Great shoe, and the service with Zappos is of course crazy good.

I couldn't find my favorite running shoes anywhere and I was happy to find them on sale at Zappos AND receive free expedited shipping. Definitely coming here again for my next pair.

Best shoe I’ve ever ran in! Great shoe for an athlete who is big (6’6” 295lbs size 16 shoe). Great support for the ankle and arch. A lot of padding, yet not a heavy shoe. Great everyday runner even for the streets. Looks good and is perfect for your everyday activities. Couldn’t be happier with the shoe.

Always have heard about Asics and wanted to try them. I have wide feet and high arches and have had a lot of foot pain over the last year running with cheaper ($50 range) shoes. Have had these shoes for a few weeks now and love them. Very comfortable and supportive and don’t have a lot of the pains I have had over the last year. I am converted to spending a little more on my running shoes for now on and these Asics are great.

These shoes are for my husband, who has wide feet. We order a size up for him (he usually wears size 9) and they fit great. Then again, I also wear Asics in a size larger than normal, and I don’t have wide feet. I would definitely recommend ordering a full size larger than normal, across the board, for these shoes. And he has been raving about how comfortable they are.

I used to wear NB and they are great, but ASICS work better for me because I need more cushioning for my weight. These shoes have awesome cushioning and if they last half as long as the 2130s, I will be happy. I run about 4-6 miles a week and these work great for me. I have these in 4E, if you have a wider foot, but don’t want to get a wide size, these would be good because I know even in the regular width they run a little wider than most.

Love these sneakers! I have bought a new pair each year for four years - very comfortable and I am a teacher, so they stand up to the abuse of being on my feet every day. I have bad knees, so I put a gel insert in, but they can definitely be worn without any extra padding if you don’t have any problems.
