Bought this shoe mainly for rafting on the Gauley and New Rivers in WV this summer. I think they'll do great, will be more secure on my foot than the Keens I used last year (almost lost one because it came off my foot in the rapids). Also I think this has more versatility, will protect my foot better during the light hiking to the launch site. Also I got some pretty bad rock scrapes on my feet last year, at the openings between the Keen's sandal straps. This seems like it will be more protective for the whole foot. Looks more like a regular shoe too, if that matters. Good arch support. The sizing was way off on this: I normally wear 11, but the only size left was 9.5. Because the reviews said this shoe runs very big, I gave the 9.5 a try, and it's perfect! Great value, especially on sale.

This shoe is a versatile traveling companion. We use it for water sports, hiking, running and sight seeing, all in one shoe.

These are by far the best casual/camping/water shoes I have ever found! I have worn these walking several miles and out in the yard and even washing my three dogs and they feel so comfortable! I have fairly narrow feet and the Keen's I had before would rub blisters on my feet. This does not mean there were anything wrong with my Keen shoes - they just didn't work for me! These are very cute and way comfortable! And once I got them wet they fit even better. The recommendation to order one size smaller is correct. I normally wear an 8.5 in a dress shoe and a 9.5 in a Skechers shoe, but the 7.5 medium width shoe I ordered fits perfectly. Can't wait to go camping with these! Already wore them to go shopping and walking and they have been fantastic!

Cute style, very light feeling, moderate arch/heel support, good traction, and as other reviews said, they appear to run one full size larger. I normally wear a 7.5 occasionally an 8. In this shoe, I will re-order a 7 and possibly would've even tried a 6.5 if it was available. Definitely order one whole size down.

I have been looking for a pair of cute casual shoes for a long time. My feet are big, so most shoes look so huge on my feet. These shoes have less structure than other shoes, and therefore look more streamlined. They are also cute as hell and so comfortable. Even without socks I don't have the raging desire to rip them off my feet the way I ma with lots of shoes.

Excellent light and breathable shoes. It's like wearing sporty and functional slippers. I wish there were more shoes like this available when I go out shoe shopping. The only complaint is that the heel strap comes loose and requires frequent tightening.

I love these walking shoes. They\'re incredibly light and have a strong arch support and fit the bill for walking around southern California where it can get overbearingly hot. It allows your feet to breathe due to the mesh netting so your feet aren\'t enclosed in leather or canvas like most sneakers. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes to take long walks (or short ones) whether it\'s on pavement, or on mountain trails.

I can rely on Salomon to fit my wide feet and these shoes are a perfect companion to my Salomon Techamphibians. I wanted a lighter shoe for summer and these fit the bill perfectly. I especially appreciate the ability to tighten the heel as I have maddeningly narrow heels with my wide feet! I also appreciate the light weight of this shoe, great for throwing in the bag for short trips. I ordered a size 9.5, the same size I wear in the Techamphibian. If I were wearing them sockless, I would have ordered a 9, but with I prefer a thick low cut sock for extended walking.

Love these shoes. I own the original Techamphibian from a few years ago (still have them and still wear them). They are the most comfortable sockless shoe for traveling. I usually wear an 8 in Salomon shoes, but this one runs about half a size too large so I took a 7.5. I bought this pair for a trip I will be taking in a month (my old Techamphibians are a bit raggedy so I save them for muddy excursions). I love how, if you get these dirty, you just hose them down, and they are dry in few hours.

I love these shoes. I live in Florida, but even when it is cold or I travel, I wear thong shoes. I have terrible bunions, wide feet, and narrow heels. These are the only closed toe shoes I own and they are really comfortable. I would follow all the reviews and buy a bit larger, but the pull strap at the heel helps the shoe to stay put and not slip. I am thinking about buying another in case the company stops making them.

I love this shoe! It is breathable, and has plenty of adjustments. I wear these hiking with the toe socks I get from Zappos. For regular walking the support is fine, but when I hike in AZ and in CO I stick in a very thin pair of supports I purchased from the drugstore. It just protects the soles of my feet better. I wear a 6 in sandals and 6.5 in closed back shoes, but I purchased the size 6 and they are fantastic. The toe box is nice and wide and will easily accommodate a thin pair of socks for regular walking and my thicker toe socks due to the adjustments. I plan on wearing these through the brick streets of Europe.

These are great shoes. They do run about a half size large, but even with that they are perfect. So comfortable and light.

I love these shoes. I bought them to wear on a vacation in Hawaii. I knew I needed a pair that could get wet and also take hiking on hard lava. These shoes were perfect. I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering, they do run a bit long, I would have ordered a 1/2 size smaller.

I got these shoes in Cold Blue-X/Swamp/Black. They are very comfortable and light. I hike almost on a weekly basis through forest and dunes for approximately 9 miles at a time. So far these seem great and less restrictive than any other shoe I've worn; my feet actually have some air, too!

I love Salomon's. These shoes are great for light hiking or trail running. Very comfortable, but they do run a little wide.

I just returned from Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in the Ozarks of Jasper, Arkansas. I bought these shoes specifically for this trip, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I intended to use them primarily for canoeing. My requirements were a sandal that covered my toes and heels, didn't have a huge sole to make me look like a duck or a clown, and didn't come in fifty different neon colors (all on one shoe) and could be worn with jeans or shorts. The Buffalo River was too low at the time of our vacation for canoeing (and I used boots with a heel for the horseback riding part of the trip), so here's what I did in my shoes instead: hiked uphill/downhill on dirt trails, hiked uphill/downhill on rocky trails, walked through rocky streams/creeks, walked through waterfalls, waded on the rocky bottom of the Buffalo River, walked through, inside and beneath rocky wet caves near Eden Falls, wore them with and without socks and both felt comfy, wore them with shorts for a subdued sporty look, wore them to breakfast, lunch and dinner with jeans for a nice clean look. The only way I didn't wear them was with the heel down, at least not for very long. After rock climbing (included in our ranch trip), I was able to quickly take off my climbing shoes and slip into the Salomons, but soon pulled out the heel and wore them like a regular shoe. Highly recommended. I'm going to buy a second pair. I tried the New Balance water shoe but it looked too much like a running shoe. I wanted a break from that "running shoe with jeans look" and the Salomons are a fine alternative. I ordered my normal size and they never hurt or felt tight or uncomfortable. I also garden in them and they'll be the first item I pack whenever I go on another outdoor adventure, which I hope is soon because that was the best vacation I've ever taken.

These are my second pair of Salomons. I have the first generation Amphibians in coral (love them!) from two years ago and bought these in the beige color this year. They are just as fabulous. So light weight, great for travel. Comfy on the foot. Be aware, they run a full size small. I wear a 7.5 and these in 6.5 fit great. The toe box is nice and roomy. I sometimes wear a wide width and these feel great to my little toes. I may order these in every color next summer!

I love these shoes! I wear them hiking with my dogs in all kinds of weather. They are very lightweight and comfortable. They look very fashionable. I might buy the same pair to keep for next year. I have a very wide foot so keep that in mind when you size; they fit me perfectly.

I bought these for a recent trip to Costa Rica and they were perfect. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than my usual size and the fit was perfect. I wore them hiking through jungles, up to waterfalls, etc. I washed the mud off with a hose in the evening, set them on the porch and the next day they were dry and ready to go again. They are very light, well ventilated, cool, and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them.

I have these in the blue/swamp color and they are my favorite shoes ever. These are very lightweight and perfect for summer. They slip on and tie easily. It took a few wears before they were very comfortable, but now I can compare them with the feel of my Keens, only these are more feminine and less boxy. My feet are wide and I thought they may be a bit too narrow, but they seemed to mold to my feet shortly. My only complaint is that they make my feet sweat a bit, but that's a small price to pay for this trendy style plus comfort.

Salomon's Light Amphibian 2 - I have the Salomon's Light Amphibian 2 in the Swamp/Black color and they are very comfortable, light and can be worn as an everyday shoe for walking, running or just hanging out. I would definitely purchase another pair.

Sweaty-foot shoe - My feet sweat terribly and I can't stand a shoe on for more than half an hour unless it is well-ventilated. I use this shoe for running my dogs in agility trials and the traction, with the ventilation make for a very comfortable and maneuverable shoe.
