This is my third pair of the Globe Sabres. I love this shoe. Unlike some other Globe styles, this one is true to size. They are very comfortable and the arch support is pretty good. I really like the black and yellow colour combination I just got and get asked often where I got them. I was also very happy with Zappos next day delivery.

I've had the shoes for about a month and they're holding up pretty well. I've received a lot of compliments about them too. I don't tie them, and I have concerns about the long term effects of the shoe on my arches. If it becomes a problem, I will tighten them up and/or purchase inserts.

I'm glad I came across the Globe Sabres, haven't owned a pair of globes for years, seems most skate companies and throwing out boring vulcanized shoes left and right nowadays. I like Globe even more, they brought back the tongueless design of the Chet IV's, you just slip them on and the airbags/padding hug 360 degrees all around your feet, so comfortable, feels almost like you're wearing slippers but they stay on your feet fine regardless of how loose the laces are, exceptionally breathable as well.

I have owned these shoes for 3 years now, so I can give a pretty good review on them. Although everyone has there opinions and preferences, this is just how I feel about them. They are my favorite shoes I have owned in a very long time!! They are sooo extremely comfortable. If you like the puffy tongue skate shoe look, this is for you!! I have owned other shoes, like DCs where I try to get them to puff up, so I have to keep the laces loose to do that, but then the shoe is so loose it's hard to walk without them wanting to fall off. These shoes will stay on your feet no matter what!! You don't even need laces because of the way the shoe is made the tongue material is all one piece that goes around your ankle. The laces are just for looks. They are very durable!! I go to rock shoes and wear them into mosh pits and they still hold up. I love these shoes so much I'm purchasing another pair. They still have life in them, but the way I walk, I drag the back part of my feet, so the rubber on the bottom back is worn off. I can't say enough good things about these shoes!!! They are the best!! <3

I've had these shoes since last November and they are possibly the most comfortable casual shoes I've ever worn. They hug your feet like a glove and the outer material is durable.

This is my first Globe shoe experience. I was wondering what took me so long to find out about them. I am in love with my shoes! They fit like no other shoe. Literally hug your feet like gloves. I will be sticking with Globe shoes for the rest of my life. :)

Not much arch support, nothing some Scholls inserts cant fix though. These shoes are awesome, way comfortable, way stylin'. I have the grey with black and true red, so nice. One thing to note, the tongue of the shoe is attached at the front ankle, so they go on like slippers and are tightened with laces. You cant go wrong. I ordered a ten because all my other shoes fit as a size 10 (LL Bean, Merrell, Teva) and they fit perfectly. Get a shoe you like, I like these.

The Sabres were my first pair of Globes (Black/Black/White HO 12.) I absolutely love how they feel. The built-in sock and ankle support is great. I went on to purchase a pair of Fusions and a pair of Libertys shortly after the Sabres. I love the Fusions as much as the Sabres and I intend to purchase them in more colors. The Libertys do not fit me quite as well and have less support.

This shoe is so comfortable, it's the only casual shoe I continuously purchase. I've been buying it since it was the Chet Thomas and will continue until Globe doesn't make it anymore. The durability is excellent and I am tough on shoes! I wouldn't change a thing!

My husband can kill a pair of shoes in a couple months. Globes is the only brand we have found that lasts years for him.

Best pair of Globes I have ever owned. I had quite a few pairs. They fit snugly even without laces. The laces are basically for looks only. They are like two soft pillows on your feet.

This is the second pair I bought for my boyfriend. They are true to size and he says they are very comfortable. The only problem is the back blows out in the heel area and makes them annoying to wear. He liked them so much however, I got him another pair. I say they lasted about 5 months of everyday wear. Hope that helps

This is a stylish and very comfortable shoe. I also love the unique attached tongue. My only issue with these shoes is that they are a little too bulky.

This is my second pair of Globes and they are as in my other pair very comfortable. I have shorter wide feet and these do the job well. I was not aware that the tongue is not mobile it is basically part of the shoe so if you do not like the slip on feature I would check out another model, but I am very pleased with purchase.

These were for my son who likes skate shoes and wears them all the time. These last for about six months. Note he's ruff on shoes.

I had to buy these in men's since there are hardly any options for women in skater shoes. I'm usually an 8 in women's which would be a 6-6.5 in men's but I had to send back for a 7 since these run smaller than most men's shoes. I love the look and the ease of throwing them on but they lack very much cushion.

Firstly, I will say that I have had three pairs of this shoe. I like this shoe because it is reminiscent of the puffier skate shoes from a while back, which have always been my favorite style. The attached tongue to collar is awesome like the old Chet Thomas Globes. This shoe is fairly comfortable. I had the Fusion before it and the Sabre is slightly more comfortable to walk in. I felt that there was no support in the shoe so I added Superfeet insole to add support; the mix of the cushioning system in the shoe with the support of the insole was excellent. As I mentioned earlier, I have had three pairs of this shoe, and that isn't by choice. The first pair I had have oddly been the ones that have outlasted the other two that were purchased later. I liked the first ones enough that I wanted a second pair in another color. So I ordered them, and the heel airbag popped within a couple weeks, I was really disappointed. Then, I got my third pair, which lasted longer than the second, but popped after a few months. It is too bad, because I really like this shoe. I don't know if it is a design flaw or something; maybe I just have bad luck, I'm not directly blaming Globe. But this has been my experience with this model. Overall, love the design, runs a full size small in my opinion, no support, fairly well cushioned, and have had heel airbag problems with two of three pairs. And, as always, Zappos is the best.

These shoes look and feel great, but do not have a very long lifespan. The inner sock system is great and you don't even need the laces. The problem is that these shoes don't handle wear and tear very well. Within the first 2 months the plastic air area in the heel was broken and the lower started to separate. There is also lots of fraying around a crease that forms on each side. I worked through these issues for a year by using some superglue, but it's been a year now and it's time to move on. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I've had Vans that have lasted well over 2 years so this was just disappointing.

These shoes felt weird out of the gate. It’s my fourth pair of Globes but first in the Sabre line. I usually get the Fusion. I bought these at the end of March and I barely even got a chance to skateboard this season. By October the sides have blown out to the point that the sole is hanging off. Not happy for a six month old shoe.
