These shoes fit great. I ordered a half size larger as recommended (I wear size 6 1/2 and ordered size 7). I am able to tighten the laces so that my arches feel supported even without my orthotic inserts. I have been wearing them in my Tai Chi class so I can turn and balance without the bulk and grip of a fitness sneaker. They are light and look good too.

Love these shoes! They wrap around my feet beautifully. Made out of breathable canvas and split heels for greater mobility, turning, point and flex motions. Very light. When you order, go half a size up. I followed everybody else's advice and ordered 1 and 1.5 sizes up; they were too big.

My purpose for this shoe was for a hip-hop dance class. I needed a supportive sneaker with just enough slip on the ball of the foot to allow pivot and protect my aging knees. I wear a 6½-7 WW street shoe. I found this shoe very comfortable, with just the right pivot, wide enough without being too long. I wore this for one class and really liked it, but alas, the next day I had a lot of pain in the arch of my foot. The split sole construction does not work with an orthotic or other firm insole, so with regret I had to clean up the sole and return it.

Shoes look great and feel comfortable, but run very short in the toe. Ordered a full size larger than usual and still need to return and size up.

I bought this shoe for zumba, because my knees were starting to ache. I do zumba at home and at a gym, so I needed shoes that would work on carpet and hardwood. This shoe is perfect for both! Not only does it glide on hardwood, it also allows me to spin without twerking (not the Miley kind) my knees on carpet. The suspended arch takes a little getting used to, and the shoe is very narrow. I ordered a half size up (because a full size was not available), and they fit great. I have room in my toes and the heel is snug and secure. This helped the pain in my knees, and alleviated the aches in the balls of my feet. Definitely worth the cost.

I wear anywhere from a 7 - 8.5, depending on brand. The only size they had in that range was 7.5. Length is at least 1/2 size too short, so definitely need to order up 1/2 - 1 full size. The toe box is also extremely narrow and pointy. Unless you've been wearing super-pointy shoes for years, these will surely cramp your toes! That said, they felt otherwise comfortable and supple. They would be easy to turn in and seem perfect for Zumba. Sadly, they will have to go back, at least until more sizes arrive.

As indicated by others they ran a half size small. I ordered a 6 and ended up with a 6.5 which fit great. I like the feel, very lightweight but something I'm still getting used to compared to the Freed of London dance shoe that I've worn for years. Not good or bad just different. I don't think I'd recommend it to those who do Zumba though. These are oriented more towards modern, jazz etc. It's yet to be seen how they wear in the long term.

At first I was concerned there wasn't enough support, but my feet and ankles didn't bother me after my Zumba classes. These shoes feel so light. One thing is the soles are very slick, so you need to scuff them up if you are dancing on a smooth surface. I've recommended them to my Zumba instructor!

I went thru the inside sole of my last cross-trainer after using them five times a week at Zumba. I ended up having severe knee pains and thought it was time for serious dancing-aerobics shoes. I read many reviews online, and even though I did not like the style of these shoes, thought they would be the best for me. I have been using these shoes for two weeks on hardwood floor. They don't slip too much, they feel really light, are very flexible, absorb shocks nicely, feel like slippers, and I no longer have knee pains! About the size, I usually wear 7 1/2 for shoes with no socks, and size 8 for running shoes. These Bloch are 9 1/2 and they fit just right!

Definitely run small. I am wearing one full size up from my running sneaker (which is a 1/2 size bigger than a dress shoe for me). Really great for Zumba. I have been doing high intensity Zumba for 2 years and these sneakers really allow you to spin! My prior pair of Zumba sneakers just had a spin spot on the ball of your foot. These have a large smooth spot and it makes a big difference. I do not feel any stress in my knees, hips or ankles when spinning and moving around. Would recommend.

I ordered several styles in the Bloch dance/studio shoe, looking for something that would slide easily for Zumba. The feedback was a bit confusing, but from my viewpoint, you indeed need to order a half to whole size bigger on these. I have very narrow feet and ordered a half size up and they fit fine. These glide better than the other styles and with my higher arch, I feel more support in them too. If you have a normal to wide foot, you might go up a whole size is my suggestion.

These are ok if you have no issues. But for those of us with pronation or flat feet or needing a bit of support, there are not very good.

I love the look of this shoe but sadly I'm going to have to return it. I order two pairs, one that was a size larger and the other a size and a half larger. I wear an 8 and the 9.5 was a little short. I jazz dance and the sole was not slick enough for turns. I was afraid I would put too much pressure on my ankle and knees.

I purchased these for cardio dancing. Nice shoe, but found absolutely no traction on the soles. I found myself unstable and sliding on the wood floors in the studio. Disappointing, so now know what to look for. I'm a size 9, so ordered a 10 and it fit perfectly.

These fit very small and I'm the maximum size of feet so these are a no-go for me. Thankfully Zappos is wonderful and makes exchanging easy.

Wish I had actually followed the advice of the majority of reviewers who said these shoes ran small. I am and 8 1/2 and ordered a 9. No toe room and felt too small overall. However, of the four dance shoes I ordered (Capezio, Bloch, Nike and Ryka, these are the only ones that will be good for line dancing. They allow for quick pivots. The others all felt sticky - even worse than the shoes I wear now. I plan to return these and order a 9 1/2. But I'd still only give them 3 or 4 stars as they seem kind of flimsy to me.

Despite ordering larger than normal shoes these were a bit tight. Also, despite some reviews that said these were good for turns, they grip the floor and don't allow for spins. They are very cute and seem well made, but aren't much good for dancing.

I take a intermediate jazz class and I do musical theater, which is what I was planning to use these shoes for. I was looking for a sleeker dance sneaker style since a lot of them are quite bulky. I ordered a half size up from my street shoe size, as suggested, but I think I actually could have gone with my normal size 8 in the end. I have always had dance sneakers stretch on me and I think this shoe is no exception. For reference, I have a very normal width foot. My biggest issue with these shoes is the front part of the split sole under the ball of the food and toes. As you can see in the pictures and the video, it is split into three sections. The front and back sections are made of rubber with good traction, like a normal dance sneaker. The middle is made of hard plastic, which I guess is to make doing turns easier. My problem is that I dance on hardwood floor at my studio and the plastic section in the middle is so slippery, it made it impossible to do exercises and dance moves that don't involve turning! If you're planning to use these on hardwood dance floors, beware of these shoes. It was very stressful on my feet to try and use my toes to stop myself from slipping constantly. Trying to go on relev in second position on wood floor is nearly impossible in these. I did like the toggle closure on the laces and the way the shoe hugged my arches. You might have better luck with these if you aren't dancing on hardwood floors. Luckily Zappos is really just the best and they have allowed me to return these, despite being used. I can't thank them enough because I would really have wasted my money on these. I just ordered a pair of Capezio dance sneakers from Zappos, so hopefully those will be better. Thank you, Zappos!

The return and refund process at Zappos is amazingly easy. Sadly, even though I have had four pairs of these shoes and have loved them for dance class, the right one in two sizes seemed to be narrow and angled in at my big toe compared to the left and compared to the ones I already own. I have to return both because my big toe hits against the top of the right shoe, even in a size that is too big.

If you wear anything over a 9 1/2 street shoe or 10 or 10 1/2 athletic shoe, this dance sneaker will not fit you in the largest size offered, which is an 11. Very frustrating as Zumba without a pivoting bottom is killing my knees. I don't understand why some company has not yet solved this issue. Too small and had to return them.

Arrived with a broken cap for the laces. I will be returning. Be ware if ordering size 9. Also I am 7.5 but had to get a 9 in these. May try 9.5 also.
