I picked the gray; not the prettiest sneaker I've ever owned. But it is one of the best for comfort and stability. I've been wearing New Balance (extra wide) most of my life (which are fine shoes). My father, a retired podiatrist) recommended I try Drew as they are top of the line quality for wide feet and orthopedics. I've been very happy for the two plus years I've owned mine and am purchasing a new pair and this time in black.

Finding a shoe that will fit Superfeet green insoles comfortably has been almost impossible for me until now. My search is over. How can anyone wear these incredible insoles without having the shoes fit too tight and/or feet overheating from lack of airflow? The Drew Traveler and Drew Surge are the only shoes I have found thus far that have enough depth, especially in the heel to accommodate the increased height of this insole by design. I only needed to remove the top footbed (1 of 2) to get a good fit. Finally I don't have to sacrifice tight fitting shoes or make a compromise with a thinner and less supportive insole to get comfort. More styles needed please! Only negatives are laces way too long (make or buy shorter ones, easy fix), tongue too short, especially in the Surge (minor problem, but what were they thinking)?

Tried 3 different pairs of shoes. New Balance, Brooks, and this Drew Surge. I kept the Drew because it worked best with my orthotic. I liked the Brooks shoe as well as the Drew and it's a better looking shoe on, not as clunky looking but the Drew has a deep well where the foot goes enabling you to remove one of the inserts and replace it with your orthotic. This feature gives the wearer the feeling that the shoe still covers your foot even with the ortotic inserted. I have big feet although not as big as the reviewed I read before I ordered this shoe, 14 6E. Now that's a wide foot.

With a 6E foot I will sacrifice style for comfort all day long. This sneaker has excellent depth and takes my prescription inserts comfortably. Very happy.

If it is wide you need, it is wide you will get! These are the best shoes I have ever had. I needed the extra wide shoes for my leg brace. It was perfect and comfortable.

Drew Surge - The shoe is perfect for those who must wear an orthotic insert. There is plenty of room to accommodate it. I would highly recommend this shoe.

These turned out to be the worst shoes I ever bought. Was recommended by Drew for helping with over-supination condition. These shoes actually made my condition worse. Be very careful about 'recommendations' for specific foot problems.

I was very pleased with these shoes. I am a large man and they were comfortable the moment I put them on. I take 4E in width and these are roomy. The shoes do not bother my bunion. They are not very light weight but are very sturdy and well constructed.

Wow! What a great shoe! I usually take a 6E with new Balance but the Drew 4E was just as wide. Extra Depth is also a plus for me as I have an ankle fusion and use orthotics. Zappos is my shoe store, period.

My second pair since I liked the first ones so much. Helps a great deal with plantar fasciitis and my sore knees. I won't wear anything else at work, being on my feet all day. Friends say they look like bowling shoes. I don't care.

For anybody with neuropathy or foot problems these work as well or better than Doc Comfort or any other podiatrist supplied shoe. They fit great; they have a large, high toe box and have good support. And your orthotics fit perfectly.

Perfect fit. Drew is the only shoe or sneaker that I will purchase. It feels great all the time. Zappos if great to deal with. They are very honest and accommodating.

I was in a motorcycle accident over a decade ago which messed up my right ankle. As a result it has been incredibly difficult to find a shoe that not only feels comfortable with my ankle but also lasts. I walk about 6 miles a day for work, so I wear shoes out fast. This particular shoe beat my expectations. It has been six months since my purchase and only now are the shoes really starting to show any wear and tear. Impressive durability.

A really great looking shoe. They are very comfortable, too. They are probably sized a half-size too large. You might want to order a half-size smaller than what you normally wear.

I have a medium width, but I also have hammer toes, so I was looking for a shoe with a wide toe box. Zappos recommended the Drew Surge, and this shoe really fit the bill. It gives me plenty of room, and it is also very comfortable and well padded. If you need some extra "wiggle" room, then this shoe should work for you!

I'm a huge dude with huge wide feet and I didn't have many options needing a 6E, but I was pleasantly surprised with these shoes and they actually look pretty good. In the sun they look more purple than gray which I think is cool.

A 4E Orthopedic shoe for 65+ crowd. My orthopedic Surgeon found bone problems in the dorsum of my feet. He gave me two sources for "rocker shoes", unfortunately both did not offer 4E width. I found Drew on the web. Spent two months to evaluate, ordered second pair.I frequently lecture since retirement and do 4-5 hr. sessions. Shoes are light on my feet so I began pain free walking. Been painless since I went to Drew.

I have a lot of problems with my feet and find it hard to find a shoe that helps me with my problem. I am very pleased with the Drew Surge I chose. I work 12 hour shifts on my feet and have feet and ankle problems. The Drew shoes are very comfortable and accommodate my inserts, they also look good, I even wear them to church occasionally.

Perfect! Husband very hard to fit. Flat feet, diabetic, wide feet. Thought I would be trying shoes forever, but the description made it possible to sort through and find exactly what he needed. He says they're the most comfortable shoes he's had on his feet! Thanks

Zappos Drew Surge Shoe - The quality, comfort and looks of this shoe are outstanding. It is exceeded only by the remarkably outstanding service which accompanies each and every purchase at Zappos. This particular shoe is simply the best of its kind I have ever had. The fit is perfect. The comfort outstanding.

I like and use stretchable shoes which I hope Zappo will add to their already amazing menu.

I'm glad I got these shoes. They fit like I expected and the materials don't lead me to think that the shoes are going to fall apart. I have been breaking them in for over a week with 8 hours on your feet work and have no complaints that I wouldn't make from just being on my feet so much.

The shoe is comfortable to wear. Thicker soles make the shoe not stylish, even though picture is accurate.
