This is hands down the best shoe/boot I have ever worn. My first impression was that they did not look rugged enough to be a sturdy hiking boot. My first trip to the woods proved me dead wrong. These boots fit perfectly and are as comfortable and light weight as tennis shoes. The comfort and style make these boots as well suited to wear to the office as on a hunting trip. They literally are an all purpose shoe that is comfortable and good looking enough to wear both indoors and outdoors. In the field, they offer great ankle support, the tread provides excellent traction, and the Goretex works well for waterproofing and letting my feet breath. I have worn these boots on cold morning hunts and my feet never got cold because they could breath so well through the Goretex. Don't let its mild looks fool you; this is one heck of a versatile boot.

I debated between these boost and the Timberland White Ledge. So, I bought them both and decided to let my husband decide. As you would expect, my husband choose the more expensive boots. I ordered these boots in Wide, and they fit perfectly with two pairs of socks. My husband is an electrical contractor, and he is on his feet all day. These boots are perfect substitutes for his work boots. He wears these on days when he does not have to work with electric. He said they are some of the most comfortable boots that he has ever worn.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. He is a beer delivery driver and is on his feet while carrying heavy loads all day. He says that they are the best work boots he has ever worn.

Was looking for hiking boots for a while. My size is 14W so its not something I could buy off the shelf in any store. Checked Dicks, no wide shoes at all. Checked Sports Authority they want you to join something in order to expedite shipping Amazon wouldn't provide a price until I typed my credit card info, I thought that was very strange. JC Penny nothing in my size. Two choices in my size winter boot and dress shoe. Shoebuy has misleading info on their website. Couldn't be bothered to answer the phone either. I agree with the poster that stated the shoes where a little tight. To be fair they were just right after about five minutes. First six mile hike that my feet were as dry as they were when I started out. Shipping was exactly what they stated, two days for shipping costs on me. Easy to search, easy to get reviews good and not good, easy to fill out form will strongly advocate for this company. Very rare indeed.

My first 'serious' hiking shoes. They feel great and seem well made. I was worried I'd have to suffer through a break-in period, but they are comfortable from the start.

I lucked out on this choice. I don't really like the shoe-boot look because, honestly, they're not cool looking. This boot looked cool, but would it be clunky? No! This shoe is fantastic! It is unbelievably light. My wife had just taken a delivery on a pair of woman's Tom's shoes and we bounced one in each hand. Obviously the Tom's felt lighter, but not by that much! And this is a boot looking thing! The performance characteristics are outstanding. When I wear the shoe, it livens my step...no kidding! It does not feel like you are wearing a boot. The exterior stays looking great even though it gets dirty and nicked on the trail, but you can't even see it! This is an outstanding shoe...I mean boot.

Couldn't have survived without them! Felt great from the start compared to Keen and Columbia boots. Wore them on a difficult hike through mud/snow conditions and stayed comfortable and dry throughout. Love them! Reviews based on size/fit were accurate. Fit my orthotics fine.

These shoes are fantastic. I've never worn more comfortable shoes, and they look great as well. I was expecting only to wear these when hiking, but I'm wearing them everywhere, even just around the house. I vary between a size 12 and 13 depending on manufacturer, but this shoe fits me perfectly in a 12.

Very comfortable boot. Super lightweight. Good grip even in the wet. I use this boot for a little hiking here and there but mostly for an everyday work boot. I would gladly buy this boot again.

After a fairly short time for breaking in, I wore them for a week of hiking at Yosemite National Park and loved them.

Timberland Chocorua Trail with Gore-Tex Membrane - These hiking boots are the greatest! They have great support at arch, toe and heel and a sturdy yet comfortable sole and accommodate a thin or thick sock. They were comfortable the first time I wore them. I purchased the boots because I stand and walk all day on concrete floors. The boots are the first footwear I've found that have avoided pain by the end of the day. A five star find!

Service versus product - Service was excellent, despite being a holiday. Boots appeared to have been worn before and were scuffed up in several places. Also, you could see the glue on parts of the shoe base and rubber.

These boots arrive ready to be worn, no break-in required. Leather uppers are flexible yet firm enough for good support on rocky trails, work in the yard, or around town. They're very comfortable. The sole is built more like a running shoe with a good thick layer of dense foam covered with a lightly lugged sole. The sole is their slight downfall as it wears in the heel area rather quickly. I've had 4 pairs of these and in every case, the heel will wear through to the foam after approximately 500 miles of use or about 1 calendar. All other parts of the boot will last much longer and it seems a shame to toss a pair with a worn out heel but that's what happens. These perform well for backpacking too. Ankle support is good and firmness of the entire sole is sufficient for moderately rocky trails. If you're scrambling over scree, you may want a more firm sole but that will end up being personal preference. These breath well and aren't too hot for summer use even with the gortex liner. Arch support is good however I typically replace the insole with a 'Super Feet' product for more cushion/support just out of habit. Think of them as a replaceable running shoe, and you and your feet will really enjoy them.

These are lightweight and provide all day comfort right out of the box. I spend a lot of time walking on rugged terrain in Hawaii where the weather ranges from sunshine to rain in a matter of minutes. These are great boots that fit well.

My husband and I were shopping locally for hiking shoes and like always, he has trouble finding his size, 7EE. I found these on Zappos and he just loves them. They arrived very quickly and they were the most comfortable shoes he has ever had since day one of putting them on. Perfect fit.

This has everything I look for in an all-purpose hiking boot. Support, stability, lightweight, waterproof. It looks good, too.

Great hiking boots! True to size and comfortable. Husband and I purchased a pair each. We bought them for camping and they work great. Keep feet dry, great for walking the trails. Easy clean up, just rinse the mud off and you are set. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable hiking boot.

The right shoe chafes the ankle bone such that the ankle bone becomes very sore. The left shoe rubs the fourth toe. I was worried that the width wouldn't be wide enough, but it was.

I bought these boots to go trekking in the mountains of France over this winter on a couple weeks vacation. I was very impressed on how they held up, how comfortable & lite they were the entire time on my feet, and that they kept my feet/ankles completely dry the entire time. The only issue I had was the laces. I'm guessing that even though I purchased a wider size for my wide feet, the length of their laces stayed the same, which meant they were slightly too short. I could still barely tie them, but halfway through the day's trekking they always came undone. I didn't like have to re-tie my boots each time. But hey, if that's the only issue, I'm extremely happy overall with these boots. I just need to buy longer laces now for them. If you're looking for a waterproof, extremely comfortable & lite boot for winter, these are the highest quality ones I could find for such a low price comparatively.

I bought these boots for hiking, but they were so comfortable and nice-looking that they became my daily shoes. As a teacher, I am on my feet most of the day, and these have the support and give-back I need.

Comfortable and comes in wide - I need a wide shoe and was looking for a Gore-Tex hiker that would be comfortable to wear all day. I found it! Right out of the box comfort... made well and waterproof. Roomy toe box... I did buy the wide and it's perfect! Medium weight socks are best... very happy!
