This is my second pair of Merrell Mocs. My first pair lasted for 5 years. It was finally time to get a new pair, however 6 months in with he new pair and they are already falling apart. The rubber sole part is pulling away from the toe allowing dirt and water in. I am extremely disappointed as this is not what I expect from a Merrell shoe.

The shoes arrived and were too large, by at least 1/2 size. The entire process of exchanging for small pair has been miserable and continues. Very inefficient exchange process and has been nearly two weeks since return and still no new pair.

I already have two pair of Merrell shoes in 9.5M. They are very comfortable. This pair was too narrow. I can't speak to arch support on this model as I have my own ortho inserts for all my shoes. When they say the soles are sticky, they mean it.

My right foot is quacking at me. These shoes are approx a week old. When I take weight off my right foot the sole is sucking in air, and when I put weight on my right foot it makes a quacking noise. I attempting to fill out the form on the mfg website and let them know the issue, however the form on the website doesn't work. I then decided to send the company an email to address the issue, which I did, however I immediately received a non deliverable receipt stating the mailbox was full. I thought the last resort would be to call the support number, however there was no answer. I thought I would attempt the review area This is my 2nd pair of these shoes and the first was great - Would like to love these however hard to love something that makes a noise like this every step I take.

I have a Wide foot And the seem inside shoe on the outside of the foot is too intrusive. The way the shoe was sewn together that seem rubs near my little toe on my left foot and it's just the most uncomfortable shoe in the world. I am in the medical field so I am standing on my feet 10 of the 12 hours of the shift and the shoe the first night I wore it was just unbearable I ordered two pair so I've got another pair to try and I will let you know how that one works out but this specific shoe is a nightmare

Unfortunately, these shoes didn't fit since they weren't available in wide. Also, the foot opening was tighter than I expected.

I have owned 4 pairs of these shoes. They last and are well made. Simple looking and have been my go to shoe for casual wear, long walks, and traveling. I have told people that they feel like gloves for my feet (extremely comfortable). When my last pair wore out, I went to buy a replacement pair - knowing I could not go wrong. Unfortunately Merrell made a change to the arch and is now too high and is uncomfortable/painful. I skipped buying a new pair of this beloved shoe. Sometimes it's better to leave well enough alone. That being said, I am pleading that Merrell to go back to the previous arch support.

I purchased these shoes to handle the walking for my train commute between NJ and NYC. Overall the shoe fits to size and broke in properly. However the soles of the shoes are wearing out faster than expected. I figured I would be able to get at least a year with these shoes but apparently not.

I have bought many Merrell shoes over the years. But my recent purchases have been a disapointment. I have 4 new pair of the same shoe I have always purchased and they just are not the same shoe now. The sole is different they just feel like planks or ski boots. The original jungle mock shoe I lived in for 10 years. Now with the new sole they are using I have foot problems. It is really too bad and I tried to get use to them but I keep going back to my old ones that are completely worn out. They say change is good so for now I wear another brand. I hate to see an old stand-by fade away, but I have invested too much in the last 4 pairs, unhappy with Merrell's change.

I've owned plenty of Merrell shoe styles...they are consistently the most comfortable shoes...ever. That said, the soles (SUREGRIP) for the men's Nubucks are the worst design I've ever seen...In a fair world they'd come with their own vacuum cleaner as there is not one piece of sand, gravel, dirt, ice, snow or schmutz they will not pick up and deposit on your floor...if you DON'T take your shoes off indoors, avoid this model. They are also treacherous on snow & ice...Stick with the original sole design

I can't recommend these shoes due to a critical problem with the soles wearing out too quickly. I had a great experience with Merrell Jungle Mocs before. The insoles wore out before the shoes and were easily replaceable; the shoes lasted five years and many miles walked on dirt and concrete. The pattern on those soles had ovals that jutted out and the shoe was not a professional color, however. Needing a comfortable yet professional pair of shoes for the clinical years if medical school, these seemed perfect. Initially, these were fantastic. The squeak issue that people complained of in their Zappos reviews seemed overblown - the squeak would disappear within five minutes of wearing the shoes each morning. The arch support was wonderful. Others liked the way they looked. It was perfection. Seven to eight months later, I began to have terrible heel pain in one foot. It took me a few days to realize that the heel sole in one shoe was badly worn in an uneven manner, causing a rather severe angle. The other shoe wasn't as extreme, but showed similar signs. I walk quickly and occasionally walk over rough roads and sidewalks, but for the majority of wear these were used on hospital floors. More importantly, I've never had a pair of shoes wear like this, nor this quickly. The issue with soft soles on this criss-cross pattern has been echoed in reviews elsewhere. Merrell has recently released a leather Jungle Moc with a different sole style (the "Jungle Moc Pro" line). I am torn as to giving that model a chance, or searching for a different company that can provide comfortable yet professional-looking shoes. Regardless, given that wearing out your soles like this can cause major joint and leg problems, and given how quickly the soles wore out, I recommend avoiding this particular style of Jungle Moc.

While I've bought many Merrells before this was my first experience with mail order and it wasn't positive. I got a dark and a light pair of jungle mocs and the dark pair just didn't feel comfortable. This was my fault, but I was so confident in the brand and the product that unwisely I didn't return the bad pair figuring I would just break them in. Within two weeks I was at the podiatrist due to calluses on the balls of both feet. Since then I replaced the Merrell insert with a pair of orange Superfeet and with limited use, I'm starting to break them in (instead of breaking my feet). So this was my first bad experience but it's partially my fault for not returning the bad pair. Maybe that's a guy thing!

I have had these shoes for about 2 years and tho they are very comfortable I never wear them in public because they squeak so bad. They even squeak when walking on carpet.

I love these shoes and wear them every day. I am on my second pair and need to buy a third pair now. The soles wear out really quick. The last three years it seems I have to buy a new pair after a year. To me they seem they should last longer. The only reason I keep buying them is because I love the fit just disappointed in the longevity of the shoe.

These are my second pair of Jungle Moc bought in april of this year. Never had problem with them in the past, nor with my other Merrell shoes and I felt pretty comfortable when I tried them at the store. Somehow, after few tryouts, I felt pain in my right knee, like if it turned "loose" and unsupported.I had to stopped wearing them.

Squeaky, squeaky, and squeaky. Sizes tried 10 and 10 1/2 and both were squeaky, but comfortable. Shoes returned!

I swear by Merrell, I have 4 different sets. I buy them for friends and family as gifts. That being said, I was sadly disapointed with the quality of these Nubuck Jungle Mocs. The rubber toe guard peeled after 1 week, so I glued it back down with super glue. The other one did the same thing the next month, I fixed it the same way. 5 weeks later and the uppers of both shoes seperated from the lowers in multiple spots. At that point, I just bought a set of regular jungle mocs. I wear these as work shoes, and while I use them hard, my other sets of merrells (World Legend, Encore chill, moab ventilator, jungle moc)have all held up exceptionally well. I feel that this set was probably defective from production. But i won't risk it again.

The online purchase was easy. I purchased 11w and found them to be small - and made the exchange for 11 1/2 w. The shoes appear to be sturdy but are still tight fitting.

I have been wearing Jungle Mocs for years. I am sure I have bought 10 pairs. The last 2 pairs that I have bought squeak terribly. People give me funny looks as I walk by. They seem to be squeaking between the insole and the shoe. I have tried talcum powder and other things to silence them to no avail. I wrote Merrell and they said to try talcum powder or oil. I have replaced them with another brand.

I am getting very concerned about the soles of the Jungle Moc. Each year they seem to wear out faster. This year they wore through the first layer of the sole after 7 months. Last year they lasted about 9 months and the year before that 12 months. Obviously I enjoy their comfort, but enough is enough. I'm going to have to look for a replacement.I believe shortcuts or cheaper materials are being used. When I get home from work, I put on my Jungle Moc shoes every day and do nothing out of the ordinary other than walk our dogs around the block. What is happening?

PLEASE make the "orbit" again, both the width of the toe and the traction of the sole are unreplaceable. the "moc" is no good for me, and no other shoe maker as well.

Bought these shoes about a year ago and I cant wear them because they are irritating the top of my foot. I like Merrill shoes over all and have another pair of Jungle Mocs that are great, but for some reason these shoes hurt.

The Jungle Moc is a good looking shoe but, it's a heavy shoe and you definitely know your wearing it. It is not a quiet walking shoe either. Everyone around you can hear you coming from a distance. The moc also makes your feet very warm and uncomfortably so at times.
