I love these things. They are exactly what I've been looking for for some time. I needed something to walk my dogs through muddy mountain bike trails at Memorial Park and wet areas of the dog parks. These fit great with no slippage when I walk. They are very comfortable. I can walk through water several inches deep with out getting my feet wet at all. I ended up buying two pairs, one to keep at home and one to keep in my truck. I highly recommend them.

I bought these rain shoes for my son who goes to college in Boston. He thinks they are stylish and awesome and tells me he wears them all the time. He wears a size 10 1/2 and the fit was true to size and can be worn with or without socks (he's from Miami; doesn't understand you have to wear socks in the winter!). Keeps his feet very dry and warm. Overall, great rain shoe.

With the rain we have been having in Georgia this year I needed a shoe like this. I ordered it at 8:30 one night and had it by 10:30 the next morning, while it was still raining. They have been great, warm dry feet. I was looking at a LL Bean gum shoe but this shoe offers us way more protection from the water.

So it is November and pouring down rain here in Seattle and I just got my Tretorn Stralas. All I can say is "thank goodness!" Mud, rain and cold are no match for these snappy, funky boots. Many compliments from strangers and co-workers alike. They will make stellar beach combing shoes and make the commute a lot more toasty.

I was very excited to wear my new Tretorn strala when it arrived, but I had to wait for a rainy day.\r\nIt\'s a bit of a struggle to get it on without a shoe horn, but once my feet was inside they felt great, warm and comfortable.\r\nWalking is a breeze, I felt as though I was walking barefeet, I moved a little faster.\r\nHowever the most important test for me was slipping. I felt very secure walking on wet surfaces, especially going down subway stairs. Maybe I\'ll even wear it on light snow days in the winter.

As a rule, rain boots are ugly. They're rubber; they're pure utility; the only reason to wear them is, it's raining and you don't want to ruin your other shoes, or get your feet wet. So these boots are a really refreshing challenge to that rule. They look good, they have style, and they keep your feet dry even when it's raining cats and dogs. The first day I wore them to the office (an ad agency), I got a ton of positive words, several "where did you get those," and one "I'm getting those for my husband." They do have the drawbacks of an all-rubber shoe: they don't breathe, and they won't reshape themselves to your feet. But they are comfortable, and I recommend them highly.

These boots do exactly what they promise. They\'re warm and comfortable while keeping your feet as dry as a bone. Make sure you wear tall enough socks, because otherwise the rubber might rub on your ankles. Great overall, though!

Superb waterproof boots with style as a bonus. Comfortable for long walks without the heavy clumpiness of other boots in this class. A head turner, to the extent that waterproof boots can turn heads. Note that their sizing is slightly on the large side so a half size smaller than normal works fine.

Excellent rain boots for men; keeps the rain out and keeps you warm on a chilly (maybe not freezing) day with the plush lining. Normally wear 8.5, but the 41 had a bit too much toe space, but 40 worked perfectly. Comfortable for walking, and not noticeably heavy. The ankles with the elastic are slim openings, but hold on pretty well once the shoes are on.

I'm satisfied with the boots. Though I don't like the way the bottom of pants fall over the boots. Maybe it's my thing because I don't like bottom of pants touching the ground, especially on rainy days. But other then that, I enjoy them. I've been wearing them since they arrived due to the weather and no complaints. Great value for price!! Especially after I spend over hundred dollars for some TIMs and they felt like my socks were getting wet when it poured!!

Best water boots EVER- I've been looking for some good waterproof boots I can wear to work, because I'm around it all day, feet were always soaked. I've tried other boots, but they were either too big and bulky, or hot and heavy, then I stumbled across the "Strala." Ordered them, put them on, and was like "Man these are great!" They’re lightweight, all rubber, have a comfortable sole and stop right above your ankle, not your shin like other boots I've tried. You can wear them in the winter and the summer and your feet are always comfortable and DRY! Look good too, kinda similar to All Stars, I've even ordered 3 pairs for co-workers, WE ALL LOVE EM!

Just what I was looking for. I need a good looking casual pair of shoes made for rain, light to moderate snow, warm and light weight. I've always had shoes that were hideous or heavy or both. This was the perfect solution. The only minus is that it pulls your socks down while you walk. A problem generally associated with rubber boots. So wear good socks.

I returned this because the inside lining was too thick for my tastes and was too difficult to put on. I got a larger size and the Tretorn Strala non-Vinter version instead.

I've been wearing these puppies around for about a month now and have been very happy with them. They are warm and my feet have stayed dry (except when hiking through deeper snow). They are a bit of a wide/sloppy fit for me, but my foot is on the narrow side and they serve their purpose just fine.

Purchased the Somar version about a year ago and was very happy with that one. The Somar's started to crack where my toes bend so I bought these new Vinter models. These feel a bit larger than the Somars did, but they also have that thick, wool-like lining. So far they are just as good as my previous ones besides the size discrepancy. Yes, you can still slip on wet, smooth surfaces with these, so be careful.

Really cool pair of shoes. Both of my brothers wanted a pair once they saw me wearing them. Wore them while shoveling snow in Chicago over the holidays. They were waterproof and AMAZINGLY warm. The rubber bottoms, though, aren't very good on ice so if there's a way to get better traction on slippery surfaces, it would improve these shoes tremendously. They're very comfortable in general, but I would prefer a little more arch support as I have high arches. Also, wish they were a little more streamlined (narrower in width) at the tip, but overall, great shoe, great looking.

Overall, these are great shoes. Basically, they're galoshes and should be compared to other galoshes. Very easy to slip on and off. The rubber is good quality and the interior lining is quite comfortable. Although I live in Austin, my family is in Chicago and I wore these daily during my Xmas visit. I shoveled snow in them several days and was surprised as to how warm they were even with just one pair of medium weight socks. A couple of criticisms, the shoes could use a little more arch support and heel cushioning. Also, when the sole rubber is wet, it's very slippery on smooth floor surfaces. It's slippery on ice, too, but maybe that's no worse than other galoshes. They're probably a little pricey, but if they hold up for a few years, probably worth the extra money. Finally, I'd prefer if they were a little narrower overall, especially in the instep portion of the shoe and at the tip.

I bought these for my daily walk to the train station. I needed something stylish that could still hold up to a New England winter. These boots have been great so far. They look great, are warm, and have been waterproof. One thing to consider: I bought mine a half size smaller than the size I usually wear for sneakers or lace up shoes and they fit perfect.

When looking for boots, I didn't want to purchase the standard brown, bland boots. These caught my eye because they were more stylish. They are very nice, but one thing is disappointing. They are much, much wider than I expected them to be. It might just be me because I am used to my narrow Pumas, but they are still nice boots.

Quality is very questionable. Had pull tab pull off the second time I put them on. I am sure they will start cracking at the bends in the rubber like others have said. Hopefully I can get a winter out of them before they do. Very comfy and warm and overall the style is their selling point. They look awesome. It's very annoying that they're constructed so poorly with such poor material to begin with but the fact that Tretorn claims they make the highest quality product, with best materials, etc. is even more frustrating. Basically the same trend I have seen for years with high fashion brands - overpriced clothing that is designed for style more than function. These are stylish and not too expensive. Let's hope they hold up.

I loved everything about these until mine too showed cracks where the shoe 'folds' as you take a step. I used these solely for walking on city sidewalks in damp weather (no yard work or anything rough) and the cracks still showed up. Disappointing as they are insanely comfortable and in my opinion, very good looking. Wonder if this design flaw is going to be addressed somehow.

Pull tabs pulled off within first few wearings. These boots are hard to walk in - there's something about the contour of the sole that makes it feel like you're walking uphill all the time. Too bad, because they look kind of cool.

Stylish, but not as structured as it looks. I was disappointed that in person they're a bit more bulbous than they look in the pictures but still probably some of the best looking rain shoes around at the time. However, they didn't even last through the whole rainy season. They have cracks through the rubber at the "knuckles" of the feet where there is a lot of bending. Water goes in rendering them useless as a rain boot. I mended them with innertube patches but that didn't last too long. Also, they've no arch support and they're uncomfortable on non-smooth (rocky) surfaces.

So sad! I loved these shoes right out of the box! So comfortable and easy to put on and off. Kept my feet nice and dry...for about a month. Then, like others mentioned, the cracks appeared...defeating the purpose of waterproof shoes entirely. Very bummed.

Broken heart, I LOVE THIS SHOES. It’s really hip and comfortable. THE PROBLEM IS! The rubber cracked open within 2 months at the stress points, the water can get in. Bad rubber quality EVER for rain boot compared to Hunter which is really durable.
