Well, I have a floating arch which makes sizing hard. But I have older MBT's and I 'guess' they run small - maybe a full size for a 'flat shoe-size.' Width is average, not narrow. Toe box is nice and ample. They have the greatest 'rocker' sole. I never thought I would 'live' to hear myself say: "my lower back felt less pain with the first steps!" It's incredible, all day long. Better than yoga and glucosamine chondroitin vitamins! I guess they really change the pressure on hips and back. Very nice soft leather, except arch...ugly, but I plan to let my slacks cover them! Pain is a driving force! I decided to 'grab' them when some reviewers said some newer styles of MBT are just not as 'good' for pain -- and comfort. They have a spring-like feel when you step down, like a tough steel spring somewhere within the mid-foot zone. So nice! The ankle fits snug, keeps them very stable/ stationery on the foot. I think they definitely could be UGGlier. Now if I can 'get my nerve up' and try some sandals (double ugh). Comfort is a big deal when you are in agony! These are incredible! Skechers and fit-flops have nothing over MBT!

The MBT Tambo boot is very comfortable. It runs true to size and the quality it superior. The first couple of times I needed a shoe horn. I enjoy MBT shoes because they have helped to relieve my foot, knee and back pain.

I purchased this boot and I am very satisfied. I ordered a 1/2 size up from my 8 1/2 to a 9 as I usually do in a boot style. The boot is sharp quality leather and fits my calf perfectly. This is my second pair of MBT's and I don't want to purchase any other shoes. I purchased Skechers; they just don't compare. I sent them back and got the MBT.

I ordered the boots one size larger than my regular shoe size. They are a wonderful fit. As for your price, awesome!

After reading Frank B\\\'s review I decided to try these as well. I knew I had wore MBTs in the 42 1\\\/3 before so I figured this women\\\'s boot would fit in that size as well and it did. Let me just say this, if there\\\'s a more comfortable piece of footwear on the planet, I haven\\\'t found it. Tucked under jeans I think it looks great and I like the feeling of a boot for support. Super fast shipping from Zappos and excellent customer service. This boot is pure comfort bliss!

These boots rock. Be aware that the translation to American sizes are not exact. I wear a 7 1/2 and ended up getting the 8 equivalent which are a little big. I got some insoles and they're fine. These are very effective for folks with back problems, knee issues, etc. Very supportive, comfortable and, amazingly enough, cute!

I wouldn't give this quite a 5, more of a 4 1/2. I do have to strategize my sock selection to avoid minor discomfort. But I still love this boot for a # of reasons. Overall the comfort on this is very good. There's nothing like wearing a stylish pair of boots on a date AND being able to keep up walking with him all night without painful feet! Also, the extra inches on the bottom give a shorter person like myself the height to fill out my work slacks. I don't need to have my pants hemmed when I wear these! I have these in addition to 2 pairs of Skechers shapeups. I did notice how the "rocker" effect is much more profound on the MBT's than w/ the Skechers, making the walking much more fun! Overall a great shoe, highly recommended (along w/ the Skechers too)!

I love these boots. So comfortable. I have a nerve thing on the bottom of my foot (neuroma), which they do not help, but no shoes seem to help. Run a bit small.

Love these boots and so did my co-workers - I got loads of compliments on them each time I wore them. I ordered the 38 1/3 as I normally wear a size 8, but they were too big in the ankle and foot so I went a size smaller to 37 2/3 and they fit perfectly. I own a pair of MBT sneakers, but the size 8 in them fits me well. Thankfully Zappos has phenomenal customer service and I exchanged for the better fitting boot size without a hitch. At first I was afraid they would look too much like a "moon boot" but they look flattering with leggings or textured tights and skirts or dresses. The elasticized calf/top allows for a nice snug and forgiving fit. My only complaint is that the zipper pull tends to flip around easily and not lay flat - a small price to pay for a comfortable, good looking boot that I've been looking around a long time for. Yes they're pricey but I they look like they are made to last and I can't wait to do a good deal more walking in them.

I like these boots very much. They were comfortable from the first time I wore them. I initially wore MBT shoes when recovering from the residual pain of a broken foot. They have done the job in that regard and I can now wear other shoes without difficulty. However, I find my MBTs so comfortable that my other shoes, regardless of how fashonable they may be, languish in my closet unworn. These boots are an example of how I just had to have another pair.

MBT Tambo boot - My chiropractor recommended these boots for me and I'm a guy! He said that because of the amount of arthritis in my whole spine,hips and ankles (he said tall shaft would help support ankles and increase circulation in my cold feet) these boots were my only solution to arthritic problems other than surgery.I thought they were somewhat pricey but after the first week I knew I had made the best health investment of my life!I cannot thank him enough.I thought that they were small at first (shoehorn is a must for first 48 hours of break-in wear) but after break-in they are the most comfortable thing I have ever worn!My neurosurgeon said I should be able to go without surgeries for maybe ten more YEARS! Thank you MBT!

These are wonderful! I only wear MBT because of a back problem, so I am very glad that MBT is making more stylish shoes and now boots. Because of the height of the sole, the shaft looks shorter than it really is. These are normal height boots. The fit is about one size small, so order larger size, otherwise these are wonderful. I just wish they would make brown leather for women and not just brown suede.

FABULOUS - Love, love, love Zappos. Of course got the boots very quickly and the boots are fabulous! Very comfortable, good fit and very stylish. No lining so they would not be appropriate for snowy winters but definitely good for in- between winter days.

Perfect marriage of MBT workout and fashion! These are great boots in EVERY respect for women with 15" calf circumference maximum--i.e. there is still hope for wearing a tall boot for those of us who can no longer zip up the standard 13" wide boots designed for ladies with skinny calves. At first, there is some struggle with zippering up, but in a couple of weeks it gets easier. True, one boot gave me a blister the first day, but I put on a "advanced healing blister care" bandage over it and was able to wear my boots painlessly the next day...and every day ever since. It's been a week since the bandage came off--and no more blisters! The comfort and MBT instability benefits are unsurpassed! And the look of the boot is spectacular. MBT and fashion lovers, rejoice!

I love these boots! I ordered the black boots for work and they were so comfortable that I ordered the brown ones for the weekend! Of all the MBT styles, I thought that these were the most trendy (and less strange) looking - and I love them because I can walk in them all day! I will say though that I didn't follow the instructions and wore them for a 15-hour day the first time and I did get a blister on my heel. Since that healed though, they haven't bothered me at all. The blister was definitely worth it because they provide a lot of ankle support and I had a stress fracture awhile back and needed the support. As for how they fit, I normally wear a 7 and when I got these boots in a 7, I thought they might be a little too small. I then ordered the boots in 7 1/2 and they were way too big! If you feel like the boots are just a little small (the MBT people told me that they are supposed to feel like they fit a little smaller than your normal shoes), they recommended you take out the MBT inserts and put in your own and you'll have a lot more room. I did this with my black pair, but didn't need to with the suede pair. I got my inserts from another store and they let me walk around in my MBTs with the inserts until I found the right pair.

I feel lucky to own these boots!!! These boots are beautifully made and feel great on. They fit like a glove and work my booty and legs... couldn't ask for more!!! I have several pairs of MBTs from lace up to velcro to these gorgeous boots. I love them all. I am a 9 1/2, but ordered up to a size 10. It makes a difference in the sport shoes especially... reduces the chance of blisters on your heels! You will love, love, love MBTs! They are all great... the boots take your workout to the office and I will take any opportunity I can to get a bit of a workout in. Oh... these shoes work out the abs, too! You will feel it in your stomach! I can't recommend MBTs enough... try them and you will love them like I do. I wear them everywhere!!!

Great - A couple of days ago, somewhat against my better judgment, I wore my new Tambo boots for the first time going to a show in the NY Botanical Garden...they really looked good with my outfit…and walked for hours! Guess what, wore them for 7 hours and NO PROBLEM! Note that I am used to wearing nothing but MBT footwear except for the few times I have dress formal or nautical!

Chic M - I love MBT shoes but they really have never been very stylish. These boots are very fashionable and look equally good with either pants or skirts, short or long. I have the black leather ones. The leather is of fine quality and the boots are very well crafted. The length is perfect. They are the same size as my MBT sneakers a size larger than my usual 71/2. The width feels a bit wide and I use athletic anklets over my thin tights or hose. Great for NY winters. I'm very tempted to get the brown suede.

I have MBT walking shoes and was so excited for the boots. I splurged and ordered them, only to get them and find that they would not zip up over my calves! I am 5'3" weigh 125 lbs and do not consider myself abnormally built. I was very disappointed.

MBT great style????? I have been waiting to buy a pair of MBT's until I knew I could actually leave the house and really wear them because the style has been evolving from the start! Great job MBT designers! These boots rock (really). They are, as is often mentioned seemingly 1/2 size small, but I like to wear a thin sock so my 7 will be fine for me. A very easy daytime boot. They are not too big in the calves which I was worried about! Have only worn them around the house as it is August and the brown suede is not quite in season. I love the way they feel. I am going to have to get a sporty pair as well because I really want to join the "anti-shoe pro-body" movement, when i am not wearing heels for a night out.

I like the funky and stylish look of these boots. They are also extremely comfortable compared with regular boots. Because I am recovering from foot injuries, I can only wear shoes that fit like a sneaker. These do! My main complaint is that they are a little loose in the heel, so I have gotten blisters. I hope that once I wear them a few times, my heel will get used to it. I have worn them twice and received compliments from friends and strangers each time.
