These are well worth the retail price. These plus a pair of basic workout shorts worn on top was a perfect setup for 20° and light wind. I prefer cool weather but I am sure that I will be comfortable up to 45° or so. They wrinkle or bunch up behind the knees slightly, which is a little annoying but I do not notice it after awhile. I ordered a small and medium. I could hardly put the small tights on over my feet and ankles, and they sat 1-2" below where they should have been on my waist. Medium fits absolutely perfect. I cannot tell if they help my running at all, but I like to think so.

They really are great. I'm 6'2 with a 34 inch waist and a large fit me perfectly. The "web" provides more support for your hips and back than your knees, but overall it works very well.

I'm 6'1" 195 with slightly longer than average legs and the large fits me great. These tights feel great and my legs feel much better after a run than just regular shorts. Would make this purchase a thousand times again.

Gift for male runners. They love these tights! Support is fantastic. Great in cold weather. If in between med and large, sizing up was not a problem (6' 4" and 168 wore a large just fine).

I ordered these from Zappos for my son. Shipping was fast and efficient! My son, who runs on a college track team, loves these! We will order other products from Zappos again with no worries.

Comfortable and look good. After doing on line research and being new to running, I decided to ward off any potential injuries by investing in a pair of good tights. I chose the Performx by CW-X. I chose one size up as I fell between the two sizes on the sizing chart. They fit great, but are a bit of an adventure to get on the first time, but you get used to it. I use to have knee and calf pain running without these tights and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't when wear these. I am by no means a marathon runner but these tights work great if you are exercising.

I have poor alignment from hip to ankle, creating horrible anterior knee pain when running beyond 5 miles. These tights really helped with the pain. I was able to run further distances before noticing the pain. Wore them for my 1st marathon. I was in between sizes (I'm 5'2 @ 106 pounds). At first I ordered an XS, but returned them. Of course they are supposed to be tight, but these were too small. A size Small fit much better. These pants run on the short side. At 5'2 they came just above my ankle.

Men’s Running Tights. CW-X - These tights are the best investment any active person can buy. One thing from a male’s point of view. Your friends will tease you the first few times out about looking like a Super Hero. But you will have the last laugh on your 20 mile training days! I contacted the local rep. from CW-X to find out which model would benefit me most for my issues. He replied within hours of me leaving a voice mail. The rep. is who recommended Zappos for my purchase. I have IT band issues at the hip to my knee and have tremendous pain on and after long training runs or speed work. These tights (Performx model), have eliminated about 75% of my pain. By no means am I built like a distance runner at 6'-3" and 205lbs. These tights keep us bigger runners moving!

CW-X tights on a 70-year-old! They work as advertised. Did a crosscountry 5K race in them in an event where I did not belong - no one my age should have run this course, on a division one university campus. We run 1 mile up a small mountain (all uphill) then cruise around for a mile in the woods (flat) and then run back down the mountain. Field almost all young runners and a few older walkers, but no one near my age of 70. I finished 20th out of 54 entrants in time of 24:25. I flew down the final mile, leaping over ditches and skipping through mud. Fun! No injuries, no pains, just fun! I guess the tights held my old legs together, thanks. (The shoes, Mizuno Wave-Riders certainly helped, too.) This race was the most fun I have had on a run in a long time, reminding me of my own division one running 50 years ago (Manhattan College, 5th man for CC team, 1957, Van Cortland Park course).

These do the job perfectly, I doubt the more expensive ones would be any better. Have run in them and they are warm enough without being hot. Fit snug like they should, no loose spots (I am 5-10 and 155lbs, with pretty skinny legs). I have worn them under cycling shorts for riding in the winter, too. They are a good alternative to leg warmers, but my only complaint is that they have some extra seems that a dedicated cycling tight wouldn't, but that isn't really what they are made for. But that is very minor and is probably saddle and individual specific.

You will really notice a positive difference. After doing some research, I settled on the PerformX tights and ordered a pair. The sizing chart is accurate and they fit snug but very well and are comfortable to wear. I have used them a few times so far this year and really noticed a difference while running, even just walking, and with recovery time afterwards. They are great.

Like the Phone Company, you can have any color you want... As long as it's black. Here is my review of CW-X tights. They run small. They can be hard to pull up. They used to come in nice designs and colors but I suppose the young guys got spooked about that, so now it is black and gray. The customer service manager said the majority of their customers want black so black is what you get.

Some of the reviews of these tights were pretty ridiculous. I wasn't expecting them to cut three minutes of my best 5k time; just wanted some good warmth and compression. Overall I'm pretty disappointed in them. As soon as I walked outside I felt the chill on my legs - they aren't very warm. I'm in SC, where the coldest mornings are mid 20's, so I can live with them - but honestly, I'm warmer and more comfortable running in my base layer ski pants than in these tights.

Purchased the running tights for cold weather runs. They did what I expected by keeping my legs warm. I am 5'7" around 173 lens and the large size fit perfect. Only negative I see is the small gathering of material when you first put them on behind the knee, but once you start running the tights start to shape the body and you don't feel it.

I wore the winter weight version of these which have lasted ten years now with probably a thousand winter miles. Moved to California and needed something lightweight for cool but not cold weather. These are my new favorites. Only issue is the inseam is short for my longer legs so they ride lower than I like. But that is a personal preference. Already have 250+ miles on these and NO chaff. Legs dont feel heavy on even my very long runs. The webbing is different than the winter weights and I don't know that either really support the knees like a chopat strap, but the tights are supportive for quads, hams, and calfs. I spend a lot on tuning gear and it's nice to find a product that delivers as promised.

Bought these for my dad's birthday. He's 5'7, about 175lbs and the medium fit perfectly. He loves them.

I think these tights do everything they say they will. I found them hard to size using their chart, At 5'8" 154lbs I sort of fell in SM range, but they were not comfortable. They felt like they were sliding off me. A size MD was the ticket. Still I use the drawstring which I never have to do with any other spandex running shorts or tights. The compression really does help. Wearing these tights my legs felt like they could keep going even when my lungs were done. My wife has the Stablix style and she loves those too. If you are a runner, I say give 'em a try!

These work very well and are a bargain relative to other brands. I would have preferred plain black, but the grey part actually has a structural function.

These things are spectacular for both running and recovery. I ran a 5K in them due to cold temps and hit a new PR by 3 mins. I have worn them to bed after long run days and my recovery has been excellent. Highly recommended!

These running tights are phenomenal! When running my legs were always cramping and the next day they were always sore, but the running tights really reduced my problems and I felt more refreshed the next day. Bottom line...buy them!

I was unsure about these tights but after reading the reviews I certainly wanted to give it a try. I am extremely happy that I brought the CW-X. I ran 2 marathons this year, the 1st without CW-X and 2nd wearing these tights. There is a huge difference in how efficient my running was. In the 1st marathon, there were lots of calf cramping but I was surprised to see that there weren't any in running with the CW-X. Moreover, these 2 marathons were less than a month apart and I was expecting the 2nd one to be not so pleasant experience. These tights proved that to be wrong and I am so happy to have a such a pleasant marathon with these tights. I highly recommend these to anyone who had been having occasional IT Band related issues or cramping in the calves.

Excellent fit; great results! These are excellent tights. The compression and stabilizing bands make longer distance runs much more comfortable. I've experienced less ITB pain in runs longer than 15+ miles and they keep my quads from excessive impact through the foot strike. I am very pleased, and will be wearing these for some time to come.

I think these tights do everything they say they will. I found them hard to size using their chart, At 6'1 and about 180 lbs. I fall in the size large using their chart but the size large is always sliding down and is about an inch or two to short. So I tried a size medium to see if the sit was better and the size medium does not slide down and stays in place but still is to short. Overall I still like Skins better for their fit.

PerformX tights are great. Fits me just as the size chart says -- for my height and weight. I also own the ventilator, and Stabilix versions. The compression is tight enough, works just right along with the knee, IT band support. I have no complaints with the CW-X brand; however, if you are just looking for compression for recovery, I would look into skins RY 400 or the 2XU Elite versions. For my training I use the CW-X tights for workouts, then I recovery in the Skins and 2XU. For me this is a winning combination.

These are fantastic running tights. They are difficult to get on, but provide a great deal of extra support when you are running. After about a year the inside seam does wear out with regular use and they need to be replaced.
