Great boots. My husband loves them! We bought a size bigger as we knew heavy socks would be worn with them.

These boots are great! I work in freezing weather/rain/snow. Had the boots for a little over a month...Great deal, highly recommend. I usually have problems keeping my feet warm out in the freezing temps. With these boots I had absolutely no probs. I used one pair of socks, Hanes. However; One day I did double up for precaution and they worked great. (Don't think you need two socks though) Oh...easy to put on and easier to take off (hard to believe). The only bad part which isn't even that bad...they could have put a little more padding on the bottom. They still are comfortable and work great, just a little stiff. I wear size 10 1/2...I have a narrow foot...

Great company!!! We ordered on a holiday, but they still got it in the mail and the boots were here in 4 working days. The boots are everything Columbia said they are. We snowmobile and they are the first boots that kept my feet warm and dry. They run true to size.

I tried on a few different boots at some local stores but couldn't find any that I liked for fit and look. I came across a pair of these and loved them! They didn't have my exact size so I got them online. The are definitely warm and have kept any water/snow out so far. A great boot to go with!

Great boot so far. Worn it a couple times in Wisconsin’s snow/slush and my feet were kept warm and dry. The tallness of them makes them rub against your leg a little bit like rollerblades do, but they aren’t uncomfortable. Overall, I feel confident that I purchased a great product that is durable, good looking, and will last a long time. I’d recommend these to a friend, and can’t wait to get some more use out of them.

I have purchased many boots over the years, and simply put, I really enjoy the overall capability of this boot for the money. Waterproof, breathable, very warm and comfortable, fairly light, but not the lightest boot, and very good overall fit and finish. I would surely purchase again!

These boots are incredible even after several hours in the cold! My feet were warm, dry, and comfortable, even after being out in the snow, slush, and ice for several hours. They aren’t as good for kicking around town due to their height, but if you are going out in the cold and snow for a long time - these are the boots for you.

Great boot. Solid construction and nice and high to keep the snow out or for the added protection that a tall boot offers. Very lightweight with an excellent tread. Worn snowshoeing about 6 times so far and I think they are perfectly suited for cold weather. Was able to try them out in 10°F weather and they were very warm. I don't know about -59°F or whatever, but since my feet perspire somewhat the thick insulation always wicked away the moisture keeping my feet warm and dry. Columbia boots always seem to run a little small for me so I order 1/2 to 1 size larger.

I purchased these for my son who wears a size 13. He needed a good pair of boots for ice fishing, etc. I read the reviews on Zappos website as well as other sites and the reviews were all good. I did order a size larger as one review I read recommended. It was definitely the right thing to do; the boots fit perfectly and my son loves them. They are a little expensive, but are well made and should last him a long time so I think they are worth the money. I would definitely order from Zappos again as they carried the large sizes that many stores don't carry. I received my order right away even during the Christmas season, and shipping was included.

My husband has snowmobiled for years with cold feet until he got these boots. Although he thinks he might need to waterproof them with some kind of stuff.

I wore these boots outside yesterday for the first time. The temperature was 1 degree with a windchill of -12 and lots of snow. These are excellent boots for cold weather and are very comfortable. These are the best cold weather boots I have owned and I am 50! You do not need to wear thermal socks with these boots. Your feet will be nice and toasty and you will not want the floor heat in your vehicle! Whether they are good for -65 or not, I don't know but they definitely kept my feet warm and dry. Standing in the snow, walking on the cold frozen ground, slush and salt, concrete floors, these are comfortable and warm boots. They appear to be well made and made to Columbia specifications. I recommend these boots to anyone looking for a warm and comfortable boot for cold weather. If you don't like, don't worry, Zappos has great service and they make buying and returning footwear so easy! They are the best!

I liked the look of this boot, a winter boot that wasn't just another hiking boot. I live in the mid Atlantic area, and so I don't need a PAC boot, but something to keep my feet warm when we do get the occasional snow. I noted the sizing information from other reviews, mainly that these boots seem to run a bit small. I measured my feet with winter socks on, and ordered a 9.5 (I wear a 8.5 to 9, depending on the brand). When they arrived, they felt a little snug, but after wearing them around the house for about 1/2 hour, they felt fine. I have worn them for a few days now, and they fit well. I also have wide feet, and so I think getting the larger size helped with this. I like the fact that this is a tall boot, but they are really light. Nice aggressive tread (looks like a snow tire), but the laces are a little on the short side (maybe because my feet are a bit wide?).

I normally wear a 7.5 shoe. After reading a few reviews, I went with the 8. Glad I did. I wanted to have room for a thicker sock (even though they are very warm boots). It fits great without a thick sock and my feet are still warm. I was used to a larger "pack-boot" with the removable liner, very large & almost cumbersome style. This feels more like a hiking boot. Very comfortable & lightweight. I have had it for 3 weeks now. Used it snowblowing/shoveling, and sledding. Will be trying them for snowshoe later this week. They are the best winter boot I have ever had. Others were as warm, but not nearly as comfortable.

Great boots! Comfy, warm and seemingly true to size. I\'m a size 14 with fairly narrow feet. This is one of the first boots I\'ve found that isn\'t extremely wide when the size gets bigger. In the few wet situations, my feet have never gotten wet and my feet feel great after hours wearing them. Definitely recommend.

Very tight at first. When you originally try these on they are way too tight. Force your foot into them with an oversized wool sock for about 1/2 hour to loosen them up. I removed the foot liner and this provided some additional room, too. I was all ready to ship them back before I tried this last ditch method.

Great boot, on first wearing! I ordered these and the Keen Growler, after seeing the Keens and a different model of Columbia selected by Outside Magazine as good Winter boots. I\'ve been wearing one Keen and one of these in my house for over two hours. I\'m wearing them over thin bamboo sock liners, and there\'s a noticeable difference in breathability. This Columbia boot is warm, but my foot is not sweaty. The Keens are not allowing moisture to escape. Trapping moisture against the skin does not effectively regulate temperature, and could put my toes at risk. I usually wear a Women\'s size 10, and a Men\'s size 9 fit perfectly. There are no hot spots, they have a comfortable sole, good cushioning, and a good lacing system. I\'m spending the Winter in Afghanistan, so I need an excellent weather-proof, tough boot. This model has great ankle support, thick tread for rocky terrain, good construction and materials. Though I won\'t be able to test the temp rating (-65 degrees) before heading over, it seems like a keeper.

Perfect snow and ice boots -
I bought a pair of these boots for my husband, and he absolutely loved them. I then bought a pair for myself to ride snowmobiles. These are awesome boots. My feet never got cold. They are so comfortable. They have great ankle support as well. I bought a 1/2 size bigger to be able to wear 2 pairs of socks. Still lots of room. Definitely true to size and great arch support.

One of the best boots I've owned!
Light weight, well insulated (600 gram thinsulate), waterproof, great tread design. These boots preformed extremely well in recent -20 degree F temperatures and 24 inch snowfall. I would recommend getting a size larger to accommodate thermal socks.

These boots kept my feet toasty warm while Muskie fishing in northern Wisconsin. I anticipate them doing the same while I shovel snow during this winter. They fit nicely and are comfortable.

Hiked Mount Adams this past weekend (1/23-24/2010) wearing this boot. Good points - warm, dry and rugged. Design held crampons well and lace system is good. Bad - the foot bed is awfully uncomfortable. After several miles and elevation gain with a 40lb pack, each step hurt. Tried different layering of socks and changed original foam foot liner to volcano and still no improvement. Conclusion -This is not a good shoe for serious hiking. It is good for clearing snow off the driveway and a short, leisurely walk in foul weather conditions.

The thermal insulation of the upper part of the boot is good. However, the bottom part, the footbed, is letting cold in. The feet freeze from down under. This boot is no good for a couple of degrees below freezing, let alone the advertised temperatures of -65F. You need to buy a separate thermal insole for this boot, which means the value is not there.
