I loved these boots in a size 6. I almost didn't buy them based on reviews of calf size but these fit well. I have muscular calves and often have trouble finding a boot that will fit. These started out snug in the calf and I considered taking them to a shop to get them stretched but, after one day's wearing, they were perfect. I'm on my feet all day running up and down stairs and outside through puddles to catch the ferry. These are durable and very cute.

I am quite happy with these boots. They are very attractive and comfortable. I normally wear a size 8, so my size should have been the 38 according to their chart, but because all my Naot shoes and boots are 39, I ordered the 39. It is very roomy, but perfect with thicker socks. The 38 might have fit, but I suspect it would have been a little snug. The calf part fits perfectly. Although the ankle is loose, it doesn't bag, and I would rather have some room to flex my feet anyway. They have a nice arch (a must for me), and are very comfortable.

I am a long-time Dansko wearer primarily because of the comfort and keeping my feet healthy. I ordered the Tyra boot for one specific reason. I wanted comfortable boots to wear with skirts and dresses. I chose the Tyra boot specifically because the shaft was narrow and I wanted the boots to hug my calves. I have slim, but not skinny calves and the boots were very easy to zip up without an unsightly gap. Other reviewers are correct, the ankle area is a bit big and does crease a little. For me to get the shaft of a boot snug is nearly impossible so I am happy to put up with the slightly loose ankle. I wore the boots to a Christmas party with other women who also wore boots. I realized it is a universal problem getting tall boots to fit women\'s calves snugly! These boots looked fabulous compared to the rest and I got lots of compliments. I wore the boots all day and they were very comfortable without any pain or rubbing. Luckily I was smart enough to purchase both the brown and black pairs, so now I am set!

Finally a boot that isn't too big for my calves! True to size, cute and comfortable - very happy with this purchase.

Simple, comfortable classic boot. Looks good with dresses, skirts, and with jeans tucked in. Oh, and I can walk for miles in them! I bought a 1/2 size larger than normal. I also find them a bit wide, so I wear thick socks and that solves the problem. The calves and ankle fit perfectly. All around a perfect boot.

Boot Alterations - Love these boots. These boots have timeless styling and are comfortable. They also don't feel or walk like they have 3 inch heels. Out of the box I could only zip them about halfway up. I took them to a shoe repair shop and had leather added to accommodate my 17 inch calf. I wore them several hours after picking them up and they were comfortable. If you find a boot you love, keep in mind a shoe repair shop can add leather, elastic or stretch them (if you only need a little room).

Greatest boots ever made!!! These are the most perfect boots ever created. It first they felt big in the foot but I realized that is the Dansko style so that your foot can rock and never get tired. The boot shaft is perfect with OR without pants under them. I run around all night at work in a restaurant and my feet feel fine at the end of the night. They don't show ware right away and they make your feet appear to be small. I tell everyone I know about these because they are AWESOME

All day boots - I love these boots because I can wear them all day--they're very comfortable. They also look nice even in large sizes (I wear size 11). They fit the calf nicely too--not wide at the calf, like many boots.

Wonderful Boot! There is great style and comfort in one beautiful boot! I love Dansko and this is just another lovely example of why.

I so enjoy my Dansko Tyra boots, I am diabetic and my feet get very painful sometimes, but not with these boots, beautiful soft rich leather too. The 3 inch heel is perfect, I would recommend these boots to anybody with sensitive feet, they are very well padded too, true to size. I wear a size 7.5 and the size 38 was perfect.Thank you Dansko, and thank you Zappos for your friendly and great service.

Super cute, super comfortable. Wore them for the first time for 5 hours and had NO discomfort. I have very skinny calves - almost all boots have a large gap. These boots fit my calves perfectly. Do not buy them if you have average to large calves. They are a tiny bit loose through the ankles, but not so loose they look strange.

Great pair of boots! This is a great pair of boots. I wear a Dansko clog daily; the boots are not the same fit as the clog but they are still comfortable. Very stylish and easy to walk in. If I had to complain about something it would be the very top part of the boot is a little snug. Nothing that won't stretch or keep me from wearing them. If you are looking for a cute, functional boot, this is the pair!

I WOULD have loved this boot... I tried to convince myself that this boot fit, but it didn't. I really wanted it to because it's SO comfortable and it had the no nonsense look that I'm all about, but the calf rounded out where my calf didn't and it just looked wrong. The rest of the boot was great - only the calf didn't fit my skinny legs.

Love them! These boots are really cute and comfortable. The reviews said that they run small so I originally ordered a size bigger but they were too big. I went back to my normal size and they fit perfect. No problems with the calf size. They look great with dresses and skirts.

Hot, Sexy Boots - These boots are totally hot. The leather and suede are just beautiful. I maybe should have got the next size up. They are a little tight around the calf but they look great. Love Dansko, this is about my 10th pair.

Fab dress boots - These are the most comfortable high heel dress boots I have ever owned. I wear them for commuting and at the office with a dress. I am a big Dansko clog fan and these boots live up to the comfort that Dansko is known for. Be warned, however, that the calf is narrow. Fits me fine but I've never had a boot that didn't fit in the calf. Anyone that has occasional problems will most likely find these boots too tight in the calf.

Great fit - I ordered this boot and am impressed with how comfortable it is the first time you put it on. For me this is a great knee boot because it fits well through the calf. My calves are on the small side, so this is good. The only problem is that through the ankle area, it looks a little baggy. That's the only problem. Most people won't have that issue because their ankles are fuller. The heel height is perfect for everyday wear. I recommend this boot, very stylish, cute and comfortable!

Now, these are great boots. Comfortable, stylish, great fit. What more could you ask for?

Love these boots! Super comfortable, I bought them and then walked around for two days in NYC. Not great for warmth, but they're a little big, so I could add an extra pair of socks.

Tyra and Zappos - First time to use Zappos. I was really impressed by the quality service. I received the boots next day! I found some of the other customers' comments help but some don't. You do need to buy a size bigger, but the calf size really depends on your weight and shape of your legs. I weigh 115 lb with height of 5'3". I ordered size 38 other than my usual size 37. It fits well in terms of my feet length but the calf is way too big for me since I have skinner legs. In spite of the comfort, I had to return them since they make my legs look really funny. However, my experience with Zappos team was the best online shopping! Thanks.

Love these boots - These boots are very comfortable and offer more support than others that I have had. I do wear socks with them since I have a narrow foot but I could manage with just hose or tights. I receive lots of compliments on how they look and will wear them a lot. They look great with skirts or pants.
