Love these shoes! I feel it mostly working in my hips...also in my calves, thighs and butt. I used to have pain in my hips and knees, but not anymore. I use an elliptical machine an hour every day and these shoes keep me movin', pain-free and has improved my posture. Only negative is these shoes are not attractive...but I don't care! I am a size 6, but ordered the 37 - perfect fit. As always, kudos to Zappos...their customer service is the best and I got my shoes the next day.

I actually cried for joy - I've been living with terrible, painful neuropathy in my feet and ankles. These shoes are the only ones I've found that actually make my feet feel better after a long walk. They aren't the cutest shoes around, but people are starting to recognize the rounded sole, and I get stopped on the street by people who have heard good things and want to know more about them. I love these shoes. Definitely order a half size larger than your usual size. They took a few days to get used to the new way I need to balance when standing still, but after the second day wearing them it was no longer a concern.

Comfort at last! I have plantar fascitiis and the MBT's are the only shoes that have helped me heal. I went through the expensive physical therapy, orthotic inserts, etc., but to no avail. After finding out about the MBT's, I am finally in no pain when I walk. The Masai barefoot concept intrigued me along with the idea of having a cushiony rubber on the area of the sole where the pain in my foot is. Now when I walk, the painful area bounces on a cushion of rubber as compared to the average shoe (even with an orthotic insert) where the foot slams down on a hard surface. And by the way, I don't even need to wear a custom made or store bought orthotic in these shoes because the concept is not about arch support. I don't feel the need for an orthotic insert because I am using different muscles. I finally listened to my body instead of a "professional" and found something with a cushion instead of the theory of arch support. So, explain that one to the next physical therapist or podiatrist who tries to rake you over the coals. These shoes are worth the money because they actually help you. I have never felt comfortable enough in a shoe where I was able to wear it all day and didn't want to change into my slippers when I came home. But, the MBT provides that total comfort. I've tried going back to my "professionally recommended" sneaker with the "professionally recommended" orthotic insert as an experiment and felt instant pain. That's all I needed to know. This is a perfect example when thinking out-of-the-box is warranted! Please note: For me, I have found that I need to order just a 1/2 size up when ordering an MBT sandal, but a whole size up when ordering an MBT sneaker or shoe. Thank you

I love my MBTs - I got these a couple of days ago from my husband as a gift, and I tried them on that morning and never took them off. I thought they may look a little funny looking, but they don't. I love my MBTs. Can't wait to put them on today :)

MBT Shoes - This was my first pair of MBT shoes. I had heard so much about them and how comfortable they were. I wear orthotics, but with these, I don't. They are very comfortable and it takes a little time to get use to them, I would have to agree that they do work your legs. I am happy with the purchase although it is expensive. I would recommend purchasing a size larger, they run small.

Like Walking on the Moon - I bought these shoes for my wife. She works as a respiratory therapist in a busy hospital. Before she started wearing the MBT Walk product her knees used to bother her after a few days of work. Now after adjusting to them she is much more comfortable and no longer suffers from knee pain. My shoes! I am still getting used to these sneakers. So far they are comfortable and make walking easier.

I Can't Believe It, But They're Actually Worth It - I had been considering these shoes for over a year now, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Finally, I bit the bullet and ordered them. I work at a job that has me chained to a desk most of the time and I noticed that my posture has suffered. I don't wear the shoes all day every day, but I wear them at home and running errands, etc. I have noticed that now, even when I'm not wearing them, I walk differently and my posture is starting to correct itself. They are very comfortable, they put a little spring in your step, and you can feel them working your legs and butt! I am buying a couple pairs for Christmas gifts and I will likely buy a second pair for myself. They do run small, so you should order a half a size up from your normal shoe size.

Comfort to my feet. The MBT shoes are everything I heard they were. The quality of the shoe is excellent. I like the sporty look of the shoe. Comfort is beyond words… I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I can wear these shoes all day and my feet, knees, and back do not bother me at the end of the day. I did order a half size up from my regular size and they fit fine. I will have another pair or many pair. Cost is the only issue I have.

mbt walk - This is my second pair of MBT's. I use them on the treadmill and really like them. The sizing changed from my first to second pair. I wear a 6 1/2 shoe and I had to get a 7 1/2 in my second pair and a 7 in my first pair.

Love these as much as my first pair, Ice. I wear thin socks and these fit true to my size. If wearing thicker socks, I imagine they would feel a tad tight and would need to go up in size. But the wonderful cushiony bounce is all there, perfect for my bad knees so I can go walking.

Great for your back - I bought these shoes because a friend insisted they are easy on the back when walking for exercise. Usually, my back starts hurting about halfway through my walk and with these, I have no back pain. I have had no trouble with balance either. I do feel a difference in my calves, hamstrings and rear-end when I wear these, but I've only worn them 5 times, so I haven't seen results, of course. I wear a 9 and have a wide foot, so I ordered the 10. It's a little loose on my smaller foot, but I often have that problem. I tried them on in a brick and mortar store first, and then came to Zappos to get the pink color I wanted. I also tried on a sandal in the store, and in that style, where the toes have free wiggle room; I wear a 9 1/2. The shoes are outrageously priced, but my back doesn't hurt, and that's worth a lot of money to me. If I were thinking of buying them just for the touted shaping feature, I don't know if I'd spend the money.

Pleasure on foot - Having experienced an untold number of different shoes, including combat jump boots, MBT's are the crème of the crop. I had no problem getting used to he unique shape and after only about an hour trial walk, I went on a 2 mile hike on asphalt. Experience no pain or discomfort even after recent toe surgery. My podiatrist tried them on and is now recommending MBT's to his patients. I just hope they will last for a long time. When my first shipment arrived, but shoes felt smaller than ordered, I returned them and received new shoes of proper size within 1 day, an unbelievable service.

So great I'll order another pair - I wear these b/c of foot, knee, hip and back problems. It can't get any better than these shoes for all of the above. Highly recommend.

I bought these for my mom, as she has problems with her feet. Once she tried these on she was amazed as to how her feet no longer were in pain. Thanks again Zappos!

A pleasant surprise - I heard about these shoes from someone and ordered a pair, thinking I would probably send them back, but wanted to check them out. Short story, I kept them. You cannot convince me that the innovative sole makes this shoe worth the price, but it does produce results, and quickly. I found them comfortable, easy to walk in, high quality. Can't drive in them, but great for around the house or a treadmill.

Great shoes for people with flat feet and bad knees - This is my 3rd pair of MBTs. I like them very much. I finally got the fit right. Zappos is very good about helping get the fit right. They tell you when to order bigger or smaller with certain styles. I have very flat feet and bad tendons. These make it easier to walk. They put very little pressure on the knees. Your hips might be a little sore as you may be working muscles there that you have not worked in awhile. I do wish MBT would work a bit on the styles of the shoes. It is tough to dress them up and that is about all I wear. They have no arch support, but because of the way you walk, you don't need it. No more blisters on your poor flat arches! You should not try orthotics in these shoes.

MWalk08 - This is my first pair of MBT's and I am so very pleased with them. I have back trouble and was not walking because my back hurt - NO MORE! It's really amazing! I loved them instantly and then purchased a pair of sandals and I wear them constantly and can do all my chores shopping and my back or feet don't hurt. They are awesome!!

Skeptical at first... I was a little iffy on spending so much money on these. After reading the reviews I thought I should go for it, and I am glad I did. I work at least 40 hours a week in a factory, re: cement floors, and am on my feet at least 30 of those hours. These shoes are SO comfortable. When you first put them on, it’s just amazing. I love, love, love them, and I wear them every day. I have never had a shoe that felt so comfortable. And, I would probably spend the money on another pair or 2. Another thing, they seemed to stay clean forever!! Usually I get new shoes and they are dirty in a second, I just started noticing these were dirty a few days ago, and I've had them for a month. Yay for these shoes!

Cushy and great for the tushy - These are incredibly comfortable and do seem to be working my thighs and butt as I walk around. I needed to order a full size larger than what I normally wear. My only comment to the company for improvement: I have flat feet and thus my feet tend to fold inwards a bit as I walk, which after a couple hours starts to strain my feet and legs. Perhaps a model can be created for people like me that provides better support? I end up having to consciously walk differently, placing more weight on the outside of my foot, which I can only do for a small amount of time.

Comfortable and Fun - I had to order a full size up as the half size up didn't work for me but once I got the right size I loved it. The toe box is small/narrower than what you would expect for a shoe of that shape. It has a lot of cushioning and I love walking with a little "bounce" in my step. Very comfortable - a fun shoe and also easy on the body. I was so happy to receive my shoes the day after ordering them - FANTASTIC.

Great shoe! This shoe is so much fun to wear! I can wear it all day and still feel like dancing when the day is done. It's so much fun to go walking in as well. The MBT system took about 2 hours to get used to, but then I didn't want to take the shoe off. Excellent for your posture as well.

Fantastic shoe from an awesome company. The shoe was for my partner, from the time she tried them on to the time she took them off, her feet felt great. She walked all day with no discomfort. I will be getting me a pair one day! Thanks!

Love my MBT - Love these shoes - they have helped my joint pain so much. I have a spring in my step again.

Walking in Comfort - The best walking shoe I have found. After walking four hours at an exhibition, I was still walking in comfort. I have a very bad back & knees. I will buy a second pair!
