This shoe just sucks so don't buy it don't don't buy it unless you want to get ripped off if. i could i would rate this shoe 0 stars for everything. It looks bad fells made on your foot the whole thing is just crap seriously crap. And this shoe doesn't have durable suede at all the first trick i tried on the board a big piece of the shoe just immedetly came off. It mot worth 70 at all i probably wouldn't even pay 10 dollars that how bad it is. So if you don't want to get ripped off don't don't don't i seriously mean don't buy this shoe for your own good.

This shoe is my all time favorite from Vans. I have tried several different Vans styles including the chukka low, classic slip on's, 106 vulcanized, rowlys style 99s and others. I would put the rowly's style 99s in second place. But this one is the most comfortable so far! The padded tongue and collar provide support and security to your ankles and it molds to your foot immediately. They are so comfortable that you don't have to put up with the pain of breaking them in, they seem to already be broken in in a sense. They make my feet feel happy, secure, comfortable, warm, and they are easy to slip on as well. The only thing it needs is more color combinations and maybe more variations of the shoe. I own 3 pairs and when I bought my first pair, I stopped buying/wearing the other vans styles. Although I still wear my rowly's every now and then. Dear Vans, please please please make more color combinations for this shoe!

These shoes are awesome. Classic Vans style and fit. They are just what I expected.

These are my new go-to, everyday shoes. I've spent the last couple of years trying to find vegan kicks that were comfortable and looked good with little success, until now. I'm not a skater so I can't say how hold up for skating. For everyday walking around, they're so tight. The insides are really soft and comfortable and they feel like slippers. They're nice and study shoes though.

Bought these shoes for my son as a gift. I had them sent to him from Zappos and they arrived so quickly and exactly what he wanted. He does a lot of biking, skateboarding and walking - these are the best.

This shoe kills, for the fan of the half cab this one just has more support and feels solid longer than the suede that though require less break in than these, blow out and feel like skating in slippers after a couple weeks. These fit a tad snugger than the regs.

Sk8 or die, bruh! I've skated for over 10 years, and I got my first pair of Half-Cab pros less then a year ago and haven't looked back. They are true to size, stiff but not uncomfortable and very supportive, especially for skating. If you are on your feet all day, you might want to throw some insoles on them, but I've found they're a pretty good overall shoe. I like them so much I bought a pair to skate in and a pair to live/work in.

Great skateboarding shoe - My 12 year old wears this hard...holding up great to endless skateboarding.

The Half Cab Pros are awesome. Easily the best shoes I have ever tried. The grip is amazing and keeps you on your board. The grip stays too. It is a very durable shoe. They don't rip! The cushioning is great too. It might be a little less cushioning than other brands, but unless you're trying like 20 stairs, it won't be a problem. They're very comfortable too. And they look sick. Best shoes ever.

Awesome shoes - These shoes are the best out of the Half Cabs. They have gel in the heel so there is no heel bruising. I love this shoe.

Half Cab Pro - Great Shoe. Very padded which cuts down on the board-feel but overall excellent shoe. This is how all Vans should be.

Best Shoes Ever - These shoes look tight and skate really well. A few added features from the original and much better. These shoes have more padding and a normal sole. These shoes are AWESOME!

Vans halfcab pro - The shoe is amazing the first week, but after that it becomes flimsy like any another halfcab. The sole has a bit more padding than the originals. Other than that they look and feel amazing straight out of the box.

Great update! Slightly modified from the original... The Half Cab "Pro" has a polyurethane insole (same as AV Sk8 Lo or the TNT 2 shoes) and just slightly more padding in the tongue. Both are good things! After more than 15 years, this shoe still holds its own in terms of boardfeel, protection, and style. Now there is no heel bruising, too!

Always a great shoe for about anything, I’ve been buying the same pair for years.

Fit was perfect and true to size , my foot is not long and skinny or wide either. The pair I bought look and feel excellent, so far seem well built. Materials feel durable, I mainly use them to skate or ride my motorcycle they offer the best grip and feel over any shoe.

I bought these for my son. Ever since Vans discontinued the mid rise chukka type sneaker I've been hard pressed to find him some shoes that fit his extra wide flat feet comfortably, to no avail; Until now! Thank goodness the search is over! I am going to buy a couple more pairs so we don't run into this problem again when Vans decides to discontinue a fave model! Thanks Zappos! My son loves these!

This is my first pair of the pro model. Ive owned two pairs of the original half cab. I wear a size 8 in the regular, and despite needing to size different with pro versions usually, I was size 8 as well with these. Pro model versions are typically a bulkier and sloppier fitting version. Not the case with these. They are actually lower profile than the originals. As shown in pics, the shoe is slimmer and sole tread is more narrow which I like. I dont get, however, why all pro models have crappier heal grab on the back of the shoe? The originals dont even have to be laced up and they stay on your feet, while the pros need to be laced up. The old skool pros are worse in that sense, however, as a comparison. The super stiff ankle collar on the originals is really soft on these in comparison and not rigid. That may bother some people. That being said, this shoe looks a whole lot better with slimmer pants than the originals. The pro insole and narrower heal area, without compromising the wide toe box the original had (I have a EEE wide foot so most vans I cant even wear.) Makes this shoe an overall better shoe than the original half cab. I will say the stitching has unfinished threads showing around the toe box, which overall doesnt have the same quality presentation out the box as my originals. Overall, I think the pro model is overall better, bod not everything about it is better. That being said, I will more than likely only buy the pro for now on. I really hope vans never quits making this model

I've been wearing these shoes for almost 10 months now. They're easily my most comfortable pair that I own at the moment, and I'm highly satisfied with them. I regularly get 10,000 steps out of these shoes daily. So far, the white band is starting to separate from the bottom ever so slightly. If I step in a puddle, the back of my foot will get wet. Oddly enough, the biggest point of where is actually at the top of the back. The material has ripped from the top down. I always untie my shoes before I take them off, but this is still a surprise to me. This all said, I've really abused these shoes, and they're wearing, but they're going to keep going a bit longer before they need replacement.

I love these, but they do run a bit narrow in the mid foot area. I wear a men's 7 in all Van's, and on the Half Cabs, there is a little gap on the sides of the tongue when I lace them up. This doesn't happen to me on any other style. I was hoping they would stretch out, but the pair I bought was defective, and the side seam ripped out after about a week, so I sent them back. Sadly, my size is not in stock anymore, so I'm moving on.
