These are wonderful boots. I just returned from a 75 mile backpacking trip without any blisters or hotspots, however I also used a combination of Wrighsock Coolmesh II liners with Thorlo Hiking socks, and Superfeet green insoles to get the arch in the correct place. Just remember that personal preference is critical with footwear, especially when backpacking, so YMMV.

I work for UPS and wear these boots five days a week. I absolutely love them, they keep my feet warm, dry and nice support. They last about seven months considering I walk nine miles a day and get in and out of my truck 150 times a day. I would call them durable.

Extremely happy with these boots! They broke in very easily (2 days light wear around town). Then took them straight onto a 6 day, 80km hike through a lot of water and mud (sometimes mid-shin deep). Amazingly my socks stayed almost completely dry the entire time (to my girlfriend's disgust as she squished around in wet boots). I rate the waterproof lining therefore as exceptional (and I even actually neglected to do an additional external waterproof coating before I left). Comfort is also just terrific. Fitwise they are perhaps slightly on the wide side (only slightly), and there is a good amount of space for your toes, which I really like (having endured squished little toes with my last boots). Style wise they have a good, chunky, solid look about them - overall they are a good blend of traditional hiking boot look (via the natural leather color), and modern technical looking boots. Basically I couldn't be happier with these boots. The only minor thing they should change is to increase the size of the thumb loop behind the heel, which is currently too small to to fit your finger or thumb into.

They are so warm and comfortable. I've been putting in some very long days and these boots are like wearing slippers. The best boots money can buy!

All of the Keen products I have owned have held up well and performed admirably. The single most valuable aspect of Keen footwear is the fit. Simply put, they fit, right out of the box and feel as if they have been perfectly broken in. The Oregon PCT is no exception. I purchased these for a recent rip to Colorado and only put them on when I got to my destination, Creede Colorado. They fit perfectly and I wore them all day the first day banging around the mountains and streams. They are perfect. Highly recommended. I know they make wading sandals for Simms. I wish they made wading boots.

I really like the way these fit. Lots of support for your ankles and arches. One more thing that I like is that they seem to shed dirt and mud easily so cleaning them up is quick. This is my first pair of Keens and I don't think it will be the last.

Great water-proof performance through this last Montana winter. Comfortable out of the box but got more comfortable after a few wears. I would buy this boot again. Looks a little like a snow board boot.

What a perfect pair of hiking shoes! Thick soles and lightweight. I use my orthopedic inserts instead of ones that came with it, like I do for all my shoes. Very, very happy!

I love these boots. I've had them out for several trail hikes. They are well built and comfortable. Keens fit my feet very well. I had to buy and return several other shoes because they were too narrow. I have short, wide feet and finding shoes is a PITA. Merrells run narrow. The Scarpa Kailash GTX is an excellent regular width boot. I would have kept those had they fit better. I was hesitant to buy these because the other Keen hikers I tried at REI had too soft soles. Backpaker Magazine liked these so I went for it. These do have a good stiff sole for serious hiking boots. If Keens fit your feet, buy these if you need a serious hiking boot. The other Keen shoe seem to be better suited as a casual hiker. I can't wait to take them out on a long hike. I normally wear Keens in a 7, but I had to get these in a 7.5.

This is my first pair of Keen shoes or boots, and I am very happy with them so far! I was surprised how comfortable they were right out of the box. They didn't really need any breaking-in. I have yet to do any hikes longer than a about 5-7 miles, but they have been super comfortable and have great ankle support for rough and rocky trails. I will definitely buy Keen hiking boots again, and have already recommended them to several friends!

Had been watching these boots for a while and when they went on sale I bought them. Look great - gave them their 1st true workout over the weekend in very snowy conditions. Happy with how they performed.

Searched long and hard. Finally found great boots with these. Great support, but can still move in them (important with a 67 lb. paraglider on your back). And you have to love the Keen sized footbed (unless you have very narrow feet).

Got these for my 18 year old son, he reports that they are very comfortable and had no problems using them out of the box the first day on a rugged 7 mile hike.

I love these boots! My husband kept making fun of my wimpy girl boots and talked me into a rugged pair of his choice. At first I thought he was joking, but I have to admit these are the most comfortable shoes I have every purchased. So cushy and great keeping water and dirt out. We've done quite a bit of hiking and I don't think I'll ever go back to an uncomfortable girl boot. These Keens are much more solid than my Salomon's. I love, love, love these boots.

Unbelievable! Ordered to door step in Oregon in seventeen hrs with free shipping, wow that's service. Also same retail price as local stores that have been out of this shoe for five months in every size except an eight. Great job Zappos!

The best pair of footwear I own! These boots are light weight, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. If you are looking for boots that are great for either hiking the mountains of Colorado or walking around the streets of NYC in the heart of winter, look no further.

Great boot! The primary excellent quality of this boot is how comfortable it is. Good in wet conditions and a very comfortable hiker. I recommend buying a size larger than normal street shoes as they run short but they are nice and wide in the forefoot. No reservations on this boot!

When I inserted my feet into this boot, I knew I had made the right choice. I felt supported. Arch, ankles, heel, toes. One of those rare moments in the human to shoe relation department. I work outdoors and have spent around 200 hours in them from woods, mud, water, metal and shingled roofs - and lots of "standing on a ladder" time. Standing on a ladder in the Oregon PCTs is a pleasure. My feet stay dry but they do sweat, which may be just be condensation from the shoe changing temperatures (going inside to Outside). I like them so much that I intend to buy two more pair, in case Keen stops making this kind. The Oregon PCT is my favorite, as I have tried the Voyager Mid - which which was nice but did not last long. The Growler was nice, but like something you would buy at a Dollar Store. I've have a Targhee II shoe for about four years that I love, and wear when I am not working. I highly recommend this boot - and it looks good to!

Very durable, well constructed shoe, it will probably withstand long hardship. The sole is very stiff, though, and don't provide the cushioning I'd expect. If you got bad knees, reconsider..

I just finished section hiking the Maryland portion of the AT so I can give you a good feel for these boots. They're everything a good hiking boot should be: sturdy, waterproof, protective. They are typical of hiking boots; stiff, a little clunky, a little heavy, but they do the job and my feet were protected from the trail. Definitely a two-sock boot (liner and boot) in the EE size. Overall, a good boot for what it's made for. Not an everyday boot; too stiff and restrictive but for keeping your feet protected (i.e. work or trail they are excellent). The Targhee are my everyday kicks.

Great shoes. They were like they were all ready broken in. The size I ordered was too small, the next day I had a bigger size. Zappos has my business from now on.

I chose these over the Keen Summit County boots. Two reasons these are lighter and sit lower on the ankle. I love the stability of these, they're warm and have been easy to break in.
