Great shoe! Style is good material is good. Only negatives are that it needs an insole for arch support and the heel support does not go all the way up the back and could cause blisters. I recommend buying it though!

These shoes are so pretty and comfortable that I can't stop buying them. But that's why I can't really recommend them, I have to keep buying them over and over. I do a lot of walking; the comfort wears off in about 4 months. What great 4 months, though. The laces are so thick and solid, they're a pleasure to tie. Is that weird? It is weird, isn't it?

If you're considering giving Pro-Keds a try but are used to Chucks & just want to change it up a bit or are just looking for a nice comfy pair if "kicks." Do it, you won't be disappointed. In my opinion these shoes are pretty much spot on in the sizing unlike Chucks which are a whole size bigger. They are a bit wider & more roomy than Chucks in the toe-box which is good for me because I have wide feet & arthritic joints in my big toes. They also have a removable padded foot bed which you can swap out if you need too, the out-soles have better traction & are more "grippy" than Chucks & they are just as stylish with a distinctive red and blue power stripe on the outside midsole that is original and unmistakable for Pro-Keds. Right out of the box they felt as if I had already been wearing them for months. Zappos, thanks again for the amazing service & speedy delivery. It's because of you I don't buy shoes anywhere else.

Absolutely love these shoes! I have worn them everyday for 6 months and they are still in great shape. I find them extremely comfortable, but I have flat feet so the minimal arch support is just perfect. I\'m going to get some leather ones next!

These re-issue Ked's are way cool!! Way more comfortable than chucks. I still had to use arch supports but that goes for any of these retro sneakers. They're just always to flat for my foot. I've worn chucks for years and just switch to these. They have a more cushy feel to them when your walking. They are all around more comfortable with a bit more ankle support. I was very happy with them right out of the box. I did only gave them 3 stars for comfort but, again, thats cuz all these retro sneakers have a bad arch support. I just expect it when I buy any of them now. Great sneaker! A great alternative to chucks!! Sorry Converse....

Upgrade your All-Stars - I decided to try these out to see whether I could benefit from a Cons-esque shoe that offered (1) half-sizes and (2) a little more support underneath. It was a relief to get a "true" 10.5-sized shoe, and yes, there's a bit more cushion underneath. Nothing against Cons -- they're still the classic -- but I'm happy to try even this slight update.

Back to my childhood - These shoes take me all the way back to New York City as a kid in the early 70's. I get many looks and compliments and people are always asking where I got the old school shoes from. I will be buying the white ones real soon. You guys are the best.

I’m really glad I found these shoes on Zappos! I’ve been looking for these shoes everywhere. I usually would not buy shoes on-line, but my wife had a great experience buying a couple of pair of shoes for our wedding from Zappos, that I had to give it a try. The first pair I ordered were a size half size to small but their return policy made it easy and fast to get the right pair. Think for the most part, the next pair of shoes I buy will be from Zappos! My Keds - I love these sneaks; I had I pair when I was younger and they fell out of favor with the Nikes, Reeboks, and all. The biggest rivalry ever was Chucks or Keds on the playground. I wore the Keds!

Way more awesome than what you will want to immediately compare them to: the Converse Taylor low tops. When I break these babies out, my 4 year-old son goes and puts on his Chucks. Though he does look cool in his, you can see the envy on his face nonetheless. Very comfy for quick runs to the store and projects around the house. In wearing these shoes, however, I would caution against competitive games of basketball, dodgeball, hop scotch, or even 4-square, 'cause even though they're comfortable, they leave a lot to be desired for stability.

These are just as stylish as Chuck Taylors. They felt a half size bigger (as opposed to a full size for Chucks). I wear a size 9 in Chucks, and I will probably get 9.5 in these next time. The red/blue striping on the sole add the perfect amount of flash to make these really stand out.

As I remember them - My Pro-Ked's are great!!! I only have one boggle, when I walk they sometimes squeak. It does depend upon what type of socks I wear but who wants someone to hear them coming before they enter the room? If anyone knows the cause and remedy for this please respond. Other than that the shoes are great! I'll be purchasing black and white in the same style.

These Pro-Keds are great, takes me back to the good old days of the late 70's early 80's when life was good as a kid. They feel just like I remembered, and the look is even more nostalgic. I will be ordering more. Thanks Zappos!

It came down to Pro Keds or Converse Jack Purcells. Both are almost identical. What clinched it for me were two things. The awesome Pro-Keds stripe on the side of the shoe, and that I had fond memories when I first received a pair of Pro-Keds from my grandfather when I was about 10. The shoe has no arch support. This is not necessarily a bad thing. New research is beginning to show that shoes with an over abundance of support can actually cause more problems because it reduces the need for the muscles in our feet to work to stabilize us and consequently weakens them, and it tends to encourage heal striking when you are running. The sharp spike in force due to heal striking has been associated with numerous chronic running injuries.

I love these shoes, they fit exact to size, I have ordered more.......and whats more they are finished so well they do not ruin my nylons!!
