I bought these shoes specifically for a trip to Europe, which I am on right now, and am writing this from my hotel room in Rome. My feet and ankles always swell badly when I fly, so I wanted something with a lot of 'give' but also attractive enough to wear with tailored capris and long linen pants. They worked perfect for everything! The area from the arch forward (ball of the foot and toe area) is fairly flat without much cushion, but the breathable leather foot bed almost makes up for that. I have regular width feet and wear either a 7 1/2 or 8 in US sizes (38 Euro size) and have moderately high arches. These fit a little loose for what I'm used to wearing, but are extremely comfortable and don't bind anywhere. Very important feature when you're walking around Europe. But if you want a slightly tighter fit, try them in one size down from what you usually wear. Hope this helps someone.

I do not have feet I have boats! So when a shoe comes along in a medium width that I can wear, be comfortable in, and look nice it is a trifecta! Great fit and comfort!

I have had these shoes for several months now. They are so comfortable. I really like the quality of the shoe too. Since they stretch a little I did not need a W. M fits really well.

La Plume stretch are perfect for my 6 Extra Wide and instep feet. Please don't be fooled about medium. width, they fit me perfectly right out of the box this height is perfect for me. I am extremely heavy walker with higher heel La Plume shoes are not comfortable for me. In August I walked all around New York City in them with not one problem. My feet felt great all day.

I wanted some comfortable, cool, sandal-type slip-on shoes for work, and that's exactly what I got here. I have worn them all day on my feet, and they feel fine. I got a little blister on each foot at first, because I wore them barefoot, but then they were fine after that.

Love this shoe. I now have it in black and brown; they look nice for work. I have one wide foot and one XX wide foot due to an ankle break but am able to wear this style. Wish Zappos carried LaPlume in more wide sizes. I've even washed them in the washer on the delicate cycle, air dried them and they were good to go.

Nice looking, nice color, a bit too wide, 9-9.5 would have been perfect. Very comfortable to wear & walk in.

I wore this sandal around Washington DC and did a lot of walking. They're really comfortable and are especially nice for feet that swell in the heat. It's a nice looking shoe in black.

I love the sandals, but lately I hear squeaking noise, like if you stepped on something sticky, I tried washing the soles, I put powder in the shoe, still squeeks. Any recommendation?

This is my second pair. I have the beige color and have been wearing them for 3 years. I am hard on shoes because I keep wearing the ones that are the most comfortable. These shoes hold up and are very comfortable especially for wide feet.

Waited to buy these sandals for a year and well worth the wait. Ultra comfortable. Well worth the price.

Great comfortable shoe - I have been wearing this shoe for two years and decided to order two more pair. They are great year-round and orthotic-friendly. Very comfortable, made well, and attractive. Buy a pair and I'm sure you will be pleased.

I absolutely love these boots! I don't have big calves, so I always had a gap. This boot fits snug, but very comfortable and stylish. I started wearing my boots more because they are flat and I can walk all day in them.

Great for high arches - I had my doubts about these shoes because of the high vamp. I know it says "stretch", but with my high arches and wide foot, that never helps much. I bought several other styles of La Plume on the same order thinking I would need to return these, but at least I had tried! I was very pleasantly surprised when they fit the first time I tried them on. Not only that, but I was able to wear them all day! I had taken another pair of shoes along so I could switch after a couple of hours, but I didn't need them.

Sandal Look, Shoe Benefits - I have a wide foot so I like my sandals to cover a lot of my foot and La Plume's Stretch does the trick. The sandal is a bit clunky looking, but it is sleek and extremely comfortable. It is good for work and for casual. I have worn this sandal much more than I thought I would to the extent that most of my other sandals are now in the back of my closet. I would order this shoe again.

Like Slippers - Because of the stretch across the top these shoes feel wonderful - like slippers...yet are attractive enough to wear with any outfit casual or dressy. I found I needed a full size smaller than with American sized shoes. There are so great I am getting another pair in a different color.

These are really nice shoes and I'm enjoying them. They are loose enough that I feel like I might actually step out of them however. The stretchy portion of the leather really does offer a lot of room and they are a bit longer than I expected but not excessively so. They feel ever so slightly loose...like I could step out of them. As someone who has wide feet with a high instep, this surprised me. Overall though they are cute and I'll enjoy them over the summer.

Upper part of show is very comfy for my bunions, but lower part not cushy or comfy.

Great sandals!!! Just a wee bit tight around the toes, but great overall. Will buy another pair in a month or two.

The stretchy top stretches too much, and I find this shoe very uncomfortable for its lack of foot support.
