I am overwhelmed first by the speedy delivery that Zappos continues to serve. I will always check Zappos before ordering from anywhere else. I ordered at 9:00 Wednesday night and my package was waiting for me when I got home from work Thursday. I absolutely love my white chocolate parka. It looks great and feels wonderful. With this cold spell that we're having, I'm toasty and happy when wearing it. I went up a size and am pretty happy at that, but wondering what the medium would have been like. I am a huge Patagonia fan and this coat is my new favorite. I love the color and the fit is great. Go for it.

Loved the look. By far, this was the most flattering down coat I tried on, and looked great, giving me a shape instead of making me look like a marshmallow. It just wasn't long enough for what I was looking for (I am 6 feet and it just cleared my bottom).

Love this coat! Extremely lightweight, but seriously warm. The hood is a bit strange (doesn't quite cover the ears). I am 5'4" and 120 I would have ordered a small, but it wasn't available and went with the M. Glad I did. Very fitted, but not too tight and I can wear a sweater/sweatshirt underneath. Zappos is the greatest; ordered the coat on a Tuesday afternoon and got it Wednesday morning. Talk about instant gratification!

This coat has a lot going for it. It's well made, toasty warm, with a detachable hood. It has deep, zip-up pockets large enough to stash gloves or even a flashlight (perfect if you walk your dog at night like I do). It has one inner pocket. The coat looks terrific both with or without the hood. In fact, I like how the hood attaches; the zip and snaps are hidden from view so that the hood and coat appear to be all one piece when you're wearing them. It's also fitted, so you won't look like the Michelin tire man when you're wearing it. I like how light it is, too; no more feeling weighted down by a heavy wool coat. The two-way zipper comes in very handy; it allows me to unzip the coat at the bottom while I'm driving or seated on the subway to allow for more room for my knees. A caveat: this coat is fitted and runs small. I'm dependably a size small, but I'm glad I listened to earlier reviewers and ordered up one size to the medium. Do the same, particularly if like me you're looking for a commuter coat that you can wear over a business suit so you stay warm waiting for the train to work. I hesitated at the price, Patagonia products are on the high side, but this coat is well worth the money, given how well made it is and how much use I know I'll get out of it in cold, snowy winters here in the Boston area. And Zappos had it here for me the next day, just in time for a major storm. Thanks, Zappos.

I have this coat in the chocolate color. I would recommend the coat. Things I liked: Warmth; it kept me warm while shoveling in below zero, and I can wear it in the grocery store without overheating. Range of motion; while shoveling and walking wasn't too tight or restrictive. Looks; very shapely and color is a rich chocolate, hood zips off with a somewhat 'hidden' attachment so it doesn't look weird without hood. Zipper; Has not gotten caught on coat and zips easily. Things to be aware of: Size: it is definitely fitted; I was on the border between small and med sizes and ordered up, glad I did. Since the coat is fitted and the pockets are angled it can make accessing what's in a full pocket trickier. When zipped up at times it has rubbed against my neck, but usually goes away with readjustment. Great coat overall.

I bought this coat to have on hand every time I am in the northeast or anywhere else in the world that has colder winter weather than Alabama. For as much as I love winter, I want to be warm and comfortable. This is the coat! It has great style (you don't feel like the Michelin man), repels water well, lightweight (easy to travel with) and is super warm. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. I did quite a bit of comparison shopping and for the most part people praised Patagonia.

This is a nice, lightweight coat that is very warm. It is not bulky and my 19 year old daughter is very happy with my purchase for her. The hood is a very good thing to have on a winter coat in New York.

I love this jacket. It fits awesome and I have gotten a ton of compliments on it. I have yet to see how it will fair in the freezing Chicago winters, but I think it will do well. I read some reviews regarding size and I decided to order the large (I am 5'8") and I am glad I did. I think I may need a layer underneath.

Just perfect! So warm, nice tailored fit and very lightweight for traveling. This coat is so cozy, it is like wearing a down sleeping bag.

I really wanted to keep this coat. The arms are nice and long. It's pretty flattering too, but they don't have a cinched in wrist, or any fleece lining which I wish they had. FYI, it's also lacking fleece lining anywhere in the coat and has no waist cinching option. My biggest problem though, is that I'm an A cup and there was too much fabric that wrinkled in the front. I think if you have boobs filling it out you'd be okay. Also, as people have mentioned, the pockets sit kind of high up, which is a little awkward, but is probably overcomeable.

Warm coat, not my favorite color, but it will work. Does run small, I am usually a 6/8 in clothing. I got the large and it fits comfortably.

I'm quite happy with this coat. It fits well and zips easily. The fleece-lined pockets are nice. I do have some minor complaints though. It's not quite as warm as I'd hoped (I wear a fleece jacket under it when it's below freezing), the front edge of the collar is a little stiff when zipped up all the way, and I wish the hood were just a little deeper. That said, I do not regret buying this coat.

I really wanted to like this parka! While it was cozy warm when I tried it out in 20 degree temps, it didn't quite fit my body well. The chevrons ended up laying funny on me and causing strange puckers. I'm 5'3", 135 lbs, and I usually wear a small on top, but I ordered a medium in the parka to accommodate my wider hips. I usually wear petite sizes. I think this was the right move, that the small would have been too tight around the hips. I don't know that it would have worked well in the small, so I'm returning this parka.

Hockey mom that is always frozen...I have been searching for the perfect puffer! So bummed that this one isn't the one and it has to go back! Sm is perfect size (although the pockets are too high & hood is huge) but it is just not warm enough for me! Thank you Zappos - your service & speed is unbeatable! I can always count on you!

This coat is exceptionally well made for a down coat, and I have tried many. It hardly ever sheds feathers, but it does occasionally as all down products will. MY only complaint is the hood---useless if you live with harsh winds in the winter--it will not cut it! It hovers on top of your head, not protecting the sides of the face. Also it is very difficult to fully zip to the top, too tight around the neck for some reason. But it is very well made, great zipper, lovely fleece pockets, high quality materials, pretty touches.

It has plain cuffs, which I did not like very much. However, it is very light weight for the warmth with two way zipper and fitted look. I found it too plain, so back it goes.

Coat is very attractive, and seems warm (though it's not cold outside yet). My one complaint is that the pockets are too high - they are not where my hands naturally fall at my sides, so the zippers dig into my wrists when my hands are in the pockets. I think I'll keep it though.

Great coat. Fits well in the body and arms. I'm 5ft, 104 lbs and bought the XS. My only complaint is with the hood. The adjustment in the back of the hood gets annoying if you lean back against the headrest in the car, while wearing it. The fabric is soft and warm, although for windy days I need to wear a mid layer. Matches day to day as well as dressier outfits.

was 100% satisfied by the service I recieved from Zappos. I ordered a coat and it was too big. I called to clarify their return policy and I returned the coat and ordered smaller size. I was astounded when they shipped the second coat before they had received the first coat so that I would have it to wear. All of this great service cost me nothing in shipping costs.

Although this coat is basically well constructed and nice looking, I found the sleeves were too tight in the upper arm and the hood is strange. When it's up, it's looks very square and sort of perches on top of my head. I am returning this coat and have purchased the Patagonia Downtown Loft coat, instead. I think it's much more flattering and the fit is perfect. Yes, it costs more. Oh, well.

The tag attached to the coat says "SLIM". Believe it because it truly is! Order up a size. Coat was very cozy in Iowa in February in single digit temps. The hood is disappointingly & ineffectually small. The overall style is very flattering & stylish.

I Love this coat! If you live somewhere super cold like Alaska, you might want something thicker, but I’ve worn it in the snow with a few layers under it and stayed warm. The detachable hood is nice and I like the hand warmer pockets. I’ve washed it and put it through the dryer and it looks like new. It is an especially good traveling coat because it is warm, but lightweight and compact. You can squish it up pretty tiny, especially with one of those space saving bags that lets all the air out... The only thing about it is I wish the hood was bigger, I usually wear a hat under it to fully cover my forehead and ears. You should try it and I bet you’ll love it too!

I think I'm really going to like the coat this winter! However, I was surprised that the "espresso" color was so green rather than brown. The lining is a great pattern. The pockets are fuzzy inside. Love the length and the angled lines. Wish it had snaps or buttons as well as the zipper. The coat is listed as "slim-fit" on the tag and just barely zips (I'm a 16; this was the XL size).

This parka did not fit me properly. I am a size 6-8, 5ft 6in, 135lb and this parka felt too tight across the back and it dug into my armpits. I also felt like the pockets were too high up on the torso.

I was considering this alongside the Patagonia Loft coat. In large, I found this too narrow in the hips for me - I am a size 14 in the hips. I had no problem with the Loft. I was also really looking for a longer jacket, and this did not fit the bill.
