These shoes are extremely stylish, but just as poorly constructed! I’m a big guy 215lb guy, and these shoes just don’t hold up. That all said, I do like them, as I’ve gone through several pairs, but I’m sort of done with them for now.

Veg Shoe Review -
These shoes are mega cute and stylie. I was expecting them to be a little more durable, they are more like a modern better looking Ked that looks good with skirts/shorts/pants and with or without socks. Just don't wear them in the rain or snow, you won't last a minute.
I'd also recommend:

Compliments!
I originally disliked this shoe when I first tried it on. Mostly because it runs a full size larger than average, but once I exchanged it for the next size down it fit like a dream. It is also a little lower in the ankle than I like. But it always gets me compliments when I wear it! SO 5 healthy stars for looks. (It also feels great on my flat flat feet).

Good Looking and Comfy -
The shoes are extremely comfortable, and multiple people have complemented them. Definitely a better summer shoe then a winter one, but I'm getting by when I have to wear them in the snow. My only complaint is that there is nothing to prevent the tongue from sliding down, which happens sometimes, but it isn't a huge issue.

Nice shoe.
Decent shoes for the money but not a pair you could walk around all day in. I don't regret buying them but the way the bend when walking causes a bit of heel rub.

Nice shoe -
I just got them so I haven't went anywhere with them yet. I usually wear 9 US Mens but I got a 9.5 and they fit well. The front or tip of the shoe is kind of tight and close to my toe but the back rubs against my feet when I walk. They are very tight and close to the feet but at the same time fairly comfortable and I bet once I break them in they will great. Bottom line I like the shoe for now with little use of wearing it and they just look... amazing, very nice looking shoe.

Nice shoes but just a note:
These are pretty nice shoes and a good value! Just a note: The "Cement" color is more of an off-white than the gray that it would appear in pictures. I would almost consider it a yellow-ivory.
Other than that, shoes are nice, fit is good though a little larger than expected because of how thin the material is at the heel.
Definitely interested in trying some different color ways!

These are great looking, but they have left me wondering if vegan has to mean uncomfortable. I have had to stick heel liners in these, because the complete lack of the expected sneaker heel padding was extremely chafing. And I am on my second set. I am not sure if the solution will work. Sneakers are supposed to be more comfortable than dress shoes, but the rough material is harsh even with socks.

Their sizes run much bigger than the other brands I own. I found the shoes to be uncomfortable and ended up sending them back.

The shoes look great and are clearly well made, but are not comfortable at all for anyone who does serious walking. I walk just about everywhere since I don't own a car and after a mile, my feet are killing me.

Comfortable shoe, but lining around heel on the inside is already coming apart after 2-3 weeks of wear. Will see how it continues to hold up, may not be worth the money.

Macbeth's Eliot Vegan -
The shoe is very visually pleasing, but not so true to size. For me, the shoe feels a full size too big. I really like them and so does my girlfriend!!
I'd also recommend:
Same shoe, but a size smaller than you actually are.

Really narrow and about a half size bigger than marked, these are a vegan version of Chucks in my opinion and not worth the money. They look cooler that is about all.

I purchased these shoes several weeks ago. I thought that the aesthetics of them were great, and I loved vegan materials. Unfortunately, these shoes are not for me. They do seem a 1/2 size larger compared to my Vans classics (I wear a Vans 9 1/2 and a Macbeth 9). Other people have written about this in their reviews. This isn't a problem at all, but something buyers should consider when ordering. The construction of the shoe seems great: felt durable, no flailing threads, etc. The principle issue I have with the shoes is that they feel narrower than my Vans classics. Wearing them initially felt fine, but after a full day of them on, my toes mashed together, and I developed little blisters and bruises on them. I've tried wearing them periodically to break them in, to no avail. I've also tried different thicknesses of socks to mitigate the discomfort, but that also did not help. I wanted to love these shoes (I really did), and I won't rule out trying another make of the Macbeth line (i.e. Matthew, Wallister), but the Eliots just aren't working for me. This was my first ordering experience with Zappos, and they were great! The shipping is fast and the two customer service representatives that I spoke with were wonderful. I will be a loyal Zappos shopper from here on.

Not so good...
The guys totally fell apart in Chicago winter. I guess the salt or something had the sole on the heel come completely off and the canvass itself by the heel has torn huge holes on both shoes. This is only a few months I've had them.

I've had these shoes a year now and they seem good as new. I switch between two pair of vegan shoes and these ones have been comfortable and durable. I am 8.5 and bought 8 and they are a perfect size for me.

These are my new favorite sneakers! I am never buying overpriced, poorly made Chuck Taylors again. I usually wear a 5½, but opted for the 6 which fit perfectly. The insoles make them pretty comfy. I am going to keep purchasing these Macbeths. Although, I have heard that they hold up a long time.

I have two other types of Macbeth's, and this by far is the greatest pair I own. Perfect fit and it looks awesome. I love this shoe and I will most likely get the exact same pair once I wear mine thin. Everything about this particular shoe is amazing. If you are considering purchasing it, just do it. Forget reading any more reviews because you won't regret this purchase!

These shoes fit my feet well. I like the way they look on my feet. I have a small blister on my left tendon that i think is typical when breaking in new shoes. I can see someone buying these shoes then wearing them while they sit or stand in various positions at home or work.I can see someone wearing these shoes and going streaking through a park. I can see getting drunk in these shoes.

Since I'll never be vegan I decided to buy some vegan shoes. The Macbeth Eliot is a comfortable good looking shoe. Fit great and was very comfortable. Plus a great value.

I received mine a few days ago in the mail and I really love them. They have zero arch support, but that's not a huge deal for me. I spend most of my time in flats so I'm used to it. They're stylish, they work for both men and women, and they're Vegan! I will agree with a review I read a while back; they do have a quiet squeak to them that's a bit strange. Only takes my ninja ability down slightly. Walk lightly, friends.

I bought these shoes with the intent of using them as walking shoes on the way into work, so I wouldn't wear down my dressier pair. They fit well right out of the box, and after a brief break-in period, they're very comfortable. I walk several miles a day in these, and they're holding up well so far.

Great looking and comfortable shoe. The inserts that these shoes come with are great as is and provide good arch support, but is easily removable if you have a different insert that you prefer. The color of the grey is darker than pictured here, but still muted. Pairs well with a variety of pant colors and shoes/soles have held up well through 6 months of constant wear.

Turning out to be a great shoe. Canvas was stiff initially and felt uncomfortable at ankle, but the shoes broke in after a few days and they feel good now. Like the style, good support.

Love these! Light, comfortable and stylish. Gotten a size too big at first. Zappos' exchange procedure was completely painless. I didn't realize online shopping could be this great.
