These shoes look cute and comfortable, but unfortunately are not wearable because of the short straps. They are unbelievably short! There is no way to buckle. The comfort part can get 5 stars only if you can put them on.

The wide runs narrow! I ordered the widest available and it did not fit! These run narrow in the wide sizes. Also, as another reviewer noted, if you have a high arch/instep, the strap will not work. I would have had to really tug to fasten it and it would have been too tight and uncomfortable. Too bad, because it looked like it would be cute and some had said it runs wide-perhaps if you are only a B or maybe C width, but if you truly have WIDE feet, then forget it. I was so disappointed, I went to a shoe store locally that specializes in wide shoes to make sure I was correct in what I ordered, and I measure as a size 6 and a snug D or more comfortable E--but the 6WW on this (which SHOULD be an EE according to their sizing and therefore should be on the roomy side for me) was not even CLOSE! I have ordered Propét and their wides run true to size for wide feet (just wish they had a cute and dressy summer sandal without velcro). Thank goodness for Zappos returns and free shipping both ways and great customer service--I'll keep looking.

The Problem with Margie - An update to my review below - After reading the other Margie comments, it seems that the straps may be okay on smaller sizes, but not long or wide enough to 'go around' on larger pairs of sandals. I'm now wondering if the 'tight, narrow' problems are occurring because the factory used exactly the same straps (meaning the same LENGTH straps) on ALL Margie sizes??? That would explain why some reviewers found the straps fine on size 7M, but at least 2 10W reviewers were disappointed with the tightness of the straps. So those needing wides, 9's and above, better size up!

Bring the Old Margies Back... =( ...and bring along Bass's former quality control! The straps on my 10W pair of Margies were also way too short and tight. Unbelievably, the heel strap was so short that as soon as I opened the box, it was obvious that even pulled to the longest length; the back strap would not even reach to the end of the shoe!!! Whaaa? Final score: Zappo's - 10 (overnight service!); Margie 2008 - 1 (the leather was okay). Order your size with caution!
