As with most all of my Van's that I have owned through the last 25 years these are as comfortable as my last pairs have been.

These are my new go-to, everyday shoes. I've spent the last couple of years trying to find vegan kicks that were comfortable and looked good with little success, until now. I'm not a skater so I can't say how hold up for skating. For everyday walking around, they're so tight. The insides are really soft and comfortable - they feel like slippers. They're nice and study shoes though.

I was very content with my order of these sneakers as I always am with zappos. They always ship you exactly what you asked for. Whatever the picture may look like is what you will get. They always send brand new, clean, unused sneakers. You can trust them in giving you a good product. These sneakers were very nice but needs a bit of breaking in since the bottom is not that soft. That however is a flaw of the manufacturer's and not something zappos has control of.

When I got these shoes last April I thought they were way cool. They looked good and were comfortable. The only problem is that within 7 months the sides of the right one began to rip. Usually a pair of vans will last me well over a year. I got only 8 months out of these. They look and feel good but don't last as long as they should.

Vans Half Cab Review - This shoe is pretty much the best shoe any shoe company has ever made. The upper rips kinda fast, but the out sole is very durable on the classics, much better than on the Half Cab Pros. I absolutely love this shoe… it’s the best shoe I've ever skated. You should buy a pair because you won’t be sorry.

Be Careful With Sizing - Vans Half Cabs tend to run a bit larger than all other shoes. I ordered a 13 which is my normal size, but probably could have used a 12, just keep this in mind, overall a great shoe though.

Very stylish. Classic. Waffle grip always a plus. Great for tranny or street skating.

Definitely a Great Shoe - I've been testing out different skate shoes for a while now and one of my friends recommended the Half-Cab, so I gave it a shot. I was pleased to learn that they needed little break-in time and felt great right out of the box. They are also great shoes for long skate sessions due to their durability and comfort. They could have more arch support but that can easily be remedied w/ an insert. Overall this is one of the most stylish and skate-able shoes I have ever worn. Great job Vans!

Wonderful! Everything about my purchase of these shoes has been fantastic - they look great, they fit perfectly, they're priced right, AND Zappos somehow delivered them to me, with no charge for shipping, less than 24 hours after I placed my order. I've been wearing Vans since the mid 80s, for skating and just for walking around. You really can't get any better.

I love them. I got the red and white ones and there great, good comfort. They run a little big but they still don't look big on your feet.

Very nice, very nice. An all around good shoe, as you'd expect from Vans. So far the only problems I’ve had are just because they're new and not worn in yet. Always get complimented for how they look.

Red half cabs - Best shoes I've ever owned, for sure. Thick soles that'll slow down a blow out, the mid high tops are great for ankle support, and they look rad. I put some arch support inserts in them, though since they're completely flat footed. Besides that, they're great. Not too thin, but not too padded so I can still feel my board. Delivered next day, can't ask for more.

They are excellent skate shoes, though the tongue might rip after kickflips depending on the way you do them. I highly recommend getting these for skating or just for chill shoes.

Amazing - I have been strictly skating in Vans for about a year now and I can safely say that half cabs are the best shoes I have ever had. The grip is phenomenal, the ankle support is a must, and they are very comfortable! Zappos delivered theses shoes in one day, the best service I have ever had!!

I love them. They lack arch support and the insole should be changed for better shock absorption.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because I definitely would. In terms of critiques, the only thing I can complain about is that they're much different from anything I've ever skated, but a few days was all it took to get used to them. The vans waffle grip is amazing, always nice to have that. I've skated these for almost 5 months now, and love them more day by day. They ripped after about 2 1/2 months, and it was only a small hole in the sole, nothing a little shoe goo couldn't handle, and it didn't affect my skating at all. The thinness of them is nice, I personally like thin shoes, and the impact of larger obstacles doesn't bother me too much. I highly suggest picking up a pair of these shoes, they look amazing and skate extremely well, thumbs up to Vans.

Very cool - I got these and the Osiris Keefer - they are both semi high top. The Half Cab looks awesome with dark rinse jeans, as well as any shorts. I got the purple and black so I can start mixing more purple into my vibe. The shoes are comfortable although a little flat, so I might throw an insole in there and loosen up the laces. Beware of water that hits the purple suede. After smoothing out the water mark, I sprayed the whole shoe down with leather water protectant. Hopefully that helps the marking.

Half Cabs rock... Got these recently after not having had a pair for like 13 years - they're still as comfortable as ever. No break in time required - I got the black with the red trim/label.

Half Cabz! Best skate shoe ever, no question! They break in quick, have great board feel, and are packed with steezz! (Feel 1/2 size larger than marked.)

VANS!!! These shoes are the perfect skate shoe. Incredibly flexible, great board feel, break in in less than 1 day. Also stylish and functional!

I bought these Half Cabs for my son who is a total skater. These look great and awesome for boarding. He loves them and is always receiving compliments.
