I normally wear these boots with distressed jeans or shorts, occasionally with the flannels and I don't tie the laces. I recommend that they be worn with at least ankle socks, depending on the weather, thick socks may be too hot for your feet. They are great for the fall and winter seasons, and rain is not a problem. When my boots get wet, they dry by themselves without leaving any marks or water stains.

Pros: shoes look great and are durable especially in wet climates.
Cons: shoes are uncomfortable, they need better insoles and the rubber part at the top rubs awkwardly on bare skin.

Sturdy shoes but I wore these out in a couple inches of snow today and my heels were wet. Disappointed because I thought these shoes were waterproof....

I was soooo excited to be able to order "wide", so I could wear with thick socks. I have medium sized boots, wider then these. I have even tried them with knee high hose and they are still really tight. With a name like Timberland, and the cost, you would think they would fit better.

Just bought these at a Timberland store yesterday. After wearing them for 20 minutes, I have a bruise on the inside of my ankle that is so painful today I can not put them on. There is also pain on the top of my foot where the tongue is sew in- it bulges out on the inside left of the boot. It bulges out much more and is more rigid than on the inside right. This is not "they just need breaking in" pain. I cannot wear the boot. Totally bummed. It's a beautiful boot. I bought the 6 inch Premium Embossed Dark Brown, F28, TBOA1K3O Medium width, size EUR 39, size 8 US. I wear a 38 Birkenstock regular width and Dansko Wide. I am typically 7 1/2- 8 med. width.

The color was perfect....The tongue on my boots are not good, it's not made like the classic boots...plus across the flat area on the boot is too tight.... I'm upset I have to return them...

We had tried on the 7 at Macy's and it was a bit tight, so we ordered the wide here online. The wide is actually tighter than the 7 regular. These are not for wide feet by any stretch of the imagination.

I have short wide feet with a high arch and I could not get my feet into these beautiful boots. Shoe horn, completely unlaced them-- nothing worked. There just wasn't enough room. Too bad.

So disappointed because I wanted to love them. I have a really high arch and a wide foot and even in the W width, I couldn't get my foot into these. They are well-made and would have been perfect for these NYC streets, but alas, they are being sent back.

I need to have this in a wider width as well as 1/2 size smaller with the wider width. It does not appear that this shoe is available in a wide width unfortunately.

These boots were horrible. I bought them for a trip to Ukraine in November and only wore them three times before abandoning them in Kyiv. They were the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn. I tried to break them in before I took them on my trip, and thought they would be fine. But I was mistaken. I would not recommend these boots.

Got these as a Christmas gift since the snow where I live is heavy and wet. Wore them in the snow for the first time today, about five inches of wet snow. The toes on my right foot were wet in about 2 minutes. I expected more from what I know was an expensive gift.

I am not a Timberland employee writing a review. These boots are not worth the price. The leather is thin and cheap. The shoe laces are barely long enough to lace and will probably break in a month of daily use. There is no insulation in the toe and at 35 degrees my feet were frozen in 15 minutes. I am a farmer in Maine and am used to the cold so this may be due to the fact that the tongue rides so tight on the top of your foot it cuts off circulation to the toes. I bought a half size up and they are still very snug.

My foot is average in width and I could not even get my right foot into this boot. I stopped buying Timberland a few years back as I felt their quality and fit were definitely lacking from boots I had purchased 10 years ago. I thought I would give Timberland another try....WRONG! These boots are going right back.

These fit like a glove. They're incredibly comfortable and luxurious, and they're all I want to wear now. They're fitted and spacious in all the right places. Couldn't love them more.

Let me start off by saying I am a true 6.5, never a 6 and very super rarely a 7. I used their size chart and measuring guide and found that I fell between the 6.5/7 so I decided to size up and I'm glad I did. I have just enough room around my toe in the box, and my heel has just enough space to move until they really get soft and cozy. I also have bunionettes, and sizing up with a regular width is definitely giving them some room. They are very comfortable on my feet. I purchased the black, and I am very pleased with how beautiful these boots are. Much prettier in person than the picture. I will probably purchase a second pair that I will be happy to dirty up so I can keep a nicer pair. I am very happy with my purchase!
