These shoes fit true to size. There is no slipping in the back which is a big plus! I expected a little rubbing on a new pair of retro sneakers like these, but they were comfortable from the get go!

Much better fit than Converse -
I'm a convert. If you love Converse All Stars but need a bit more cushion, toe room and width, these are terrific. Emphasis on "a bit": do not expect to go running or walk all day in these shoes. Fashion more than comfort. I wear 9 wide and ordered a woman's 9: fits perfectly.

Search has ended for a cool casual shoe in gray -
I wanted an all gray casual shoe and searched Zappos site by color and genre and these showed up. It's not easy to find an all gray shoe. Converse Gray Chucks have the white soles I didn't want. It was between these or the Ecko Unlimited Whellers that also came up, but they were more black with gray. Ordered 9.5 US and fit perfectly with my own thin insole for additional arch as these shoes are fairly flat. Shoes arrived promptly and packed well with original box as straight as from factory. Zappos saved me a lot of time trying to find what I wanted.

A very awesome pair of shoes -
I bought these for my son only a few days before Christmas and they were here the next day. Very convenient. He loves them, I bought him the blue version of this shoe and he said these were exactly what he wanted, so overall it was a very good purchase. He says the shoes are very comfortable and his only wishes are that they had more of the larger sizes in stock because he wants some of the other colors available.

Good basic, stylish shoe -
Overall good shoe. Keep in mind that these are old school, Chuck Taylor type shoes with little cushion and not much support. They are however great shoes for kicking around town in after work or on a weekend. I only have two main gripes, one being the price which seems high for what these are...but then again I paid it, so it must not be too bad right? The other is that the point where the rubber meets the canvas at the crease point when you step forward, well that started to separate a bit right away. I will say that it never got any worse and it doesn't seem to effect the shoe, just bugged me a bit...again for the price =)

How Cool Are Bright Green Basketball Shoes?
I saw these shoes featured in the styles section of my local newspaper and knew I had to have them. What a combination: canvas, classic low-cut and bright Celtics green... what else would Bob Cousy have worn? They wear just like you would expect a canvas no-support 'sneaker' to wear (let's face it none of us has EVER bought a canvas sneaker for the support. But they look super cool! The first day I wore them I got two compliments in about twenty minutes, one of which came from the shoe salesman at a high-end department store. How cool is that! Definitely a style purchase well worth the price.

Classic and comfy -
Chuck Taylors hurt my feet but these are really comfortable. I would actually play basketball in them (if I played basketball!).

Don't play hoop in these!
These are for show only and show you how far basketball sneakers have come. They are cool and retro but don't do anything more than get the mail in them or risk breaking your ankle.

Great Shoes!
I looked far and wide for bright green shoes, and found exactly what I was looking for in the PF Flyers. At first they were a little tight, but the canvas stretched to fit me very well.

Not as bad as Converse -
Doesn’t have as much arch support as my Sandlots. I wouldn’t get these again. Not the quality I came to expect from PF Flyers.

Love 'Em!
Was shocked at how fast Zappos shipped the shoes! Love the shoes themselves. Have always been a Converse buyer and am now a PF Flyer convert!

Top Choice -
Great look - better then the alternative brand. Fit was perfect, comfort is average. Just great all around sneaker. It's an old classic which you can't screw up. Purchased Men's size 6 - Perfect Women's 7.5 fit for me. Zappos service was 5 Stars.

PF Flyers -
My PF Bob Cousy's were received quickly. They feel and look great. They also bring back great memories; I can run faster and jump higher!

Amazing Shoes -
Wow this was a great buy; they are a lot more comfortable than converse and vans. Fits great a bit tight but just need to break them in. Good Job PF Flyers your best shoe yet.

Just the answer -
Very comfortable, well made shoes. I wear them to work all the time and my feet never feel tired or stressed after a long day. After sporting Chuck Taylors for years and becoming more and more disappointed in their quality and comfort, these PF Flyers were a welcomed change.

Great Shoe -
This is a great shoe. Well constructed. Had a pair of Varvatos Chucks. They lasted a little over a year and fell apart. These put them to shame for a little more than half the price. Comfortable, casual, great with Khakis or jeans.

I love these shoes. They definitely stand out and I get many compliments on them. Very satisfied with my purchase. They are a little heavier than my number 5 PF Flyers, so I don't expect tons of walking with these shoes.

I found these at Nordstrom Rack, and they're nice. They have a cool wraparound thing at the back where you put your foot in, which I guess makes it more secure. It seems more purposeful on the Hi-top version, where it's meant to protect the ankle. These are far more substantial than Chucks, and I wish they sold these in more stores, because they hold up (overall) better than Converse. Unlike most PFs, this shoe has a non-removable insole, and feels very firm and supportive. I use these for running, and they are very good for that. One odd thing, though it might just be the temperatures changing between seasons, is that the little logo on the back of the sneaker falls starts to peel off after a month or two. That's never happened to me with any other brand of shoe I've had, though not many had a logo on the back. I really wish they could fix this problem, as other reviewers seem to have this problem, but overall, it's a very awesome sneaker. I'd recommend PF's to anyone looking for a shoe that's Converse-esque, but doesn't fall apart every 2 months, isn't well-known, and has a good arch support.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these shoes in 2008 and I still wear them from time to time today. The classic style is second to none, but unfortunately, the shoe is not comfortable for prolonged periods of standing or walking. It's a great shoe to wear to uni, or to wear to the movies (places where I am seated most of the time). However, for work, where I am always standing, or for walking around downtown, they get uncomfortable after three or four hours.

The shoe brings back memories of when I was a kid. Excellent construction and comfort. I will by a couple more pair in a different colors. Zappos service continues to amaze me. Can't be beat.

Good shoes. Unfortunately, the uppers right around the flex point near the lowers frayed and tore open within a few months.

A pretty good all-around shoe. Wore it for close to a year, but at around 8 months, the inside sides of the uppers began to tear open where they meet the flex point of the soles. Most canvas shoes I've owned haven't done this.

Shoes look good. Same exact thing as a chuck taylor but slightly more comfortable. Shoes are certainly sized smaller than true. I wear a 10 in everything else and a 9 in chuck taylor. Ordered 10s and they were too big, got a 9 and it was too small. (I wear a 9 in Converse) Ended up with a 9.5.

I normally wear a 9 Chuck Taylor, 10 Tretorn Skymra for this kind of shoe but haven't worn chucks in a while because the canvas rips just under the toe cap for me almost instantly (same thing for the Tretorns). 9.5 for this one fit perfect for me. sole is quite substantial - they are much more comfortable than converse but don't look or feel too high off the ground and (I think) cool-looking - I've worn them now for about a month though wearing in nicely, they still feel pretty new.

These are wonderful shoes and a step up from Converse Chuck Taylors in my opinion. The styling and the fit are really good and the color on the product page is exactly how it looks in real life. Very happy with the purchase -- will order the natural white color soon!
