These are classy looking shoes, but they are not the most comfortable, and seem a tiny bit small. I wear them to events, parties, etc. and if I do not have to walk too far they are OK.

I tried this shoe because I wanted one based on sl-2 which has fit me well in the past. It looks, well, ok but not great. I didn't care too much for the mesh, not because this mesh was bad, but I just don't like it in general. Anyway, the cushioning is acceptable and the fit was good genreally but I think the arch support hit my foot in the wrong spot because after standing around thinking about how I liked them for about ten minutes, my arch started to cramp. Anyway, nice retro look if that's your thing, good suede, liked the shade of tan.

Great looking, classic style. Nice and sturdy and supportive. Unfortunately, on me the suede band is tight across the top of the foot, right below where the laces start. I still hope they'll stretch, but I've walked miles in them and they're still tight.

These are super cute, but they did take a couple of days to break in. I have had them for about a month now and they are still a little stiff.

These are pretty good walking shoes but not the best New Balance I have ever owned. I like their tennis shoes/court shoes better. I have a narrow foot, low arches.These are good for walking, a little clunky looking. I don't wear them every day to walk. Just a couple of times a week. They still look new and the soles have held up well.

I have a terrible time finding shoes which are wide across the forefoot and toe box. I have been successful finding the combination in a few of the Wide NB sneakers. No more throwing money away by bringing home shoes which irritate my second toe. I am sticking with the NB designs which have more room in the toe area.

This shoe is exactly what I expected from seeing the photos. Great purchase! I did opt to purchase the suede cleaner/suede waterproofing product to maintain the new look of these sneakers. They are comfortable for everyday wear.

I ordered these gym shoes in the wide width, since I have bunions on both feet, the right one being larger. Because of that, I am still putting a stretcher in the right shoe every time I take it off, and my right foot hurts after wearing the shoe for an hour plus. This isn't New Balance's fault, and the left shoe fits fine. The shoes are very good looking as well.

I ordered wide because I have bunions and even the wide puts pressure on the bunion. The insert is flat so I added another insert.I like the style and grey color, the "N" and heel are really reflective (good safety feature). I will keep wearing them and hope they stretch a little.

I bought these is the charcoal/mint combination. They are lightweight and not "clunky", which may be why they don't seem to have as much arch support as some other NB shoes, at higher prices. My 26 year old twin daughters both had a fit over them.

I like the look of these, but they fit too small, both in length and width (my foot just fit inside, but without any extra room to make it comfortable). I bought my normal shoe size, though I've never bought New Balance shoes before, so maybe this brand just runs small. It's hard to comment on how comfortable they are--am hoping that other sizes/widths come in stock so I can exchange them and see if they fit better.

I have bought New Balance for years, but this classic style runs much narrower than any other NB shoe I've purchased. I held this shoe (size 8D) up to my old NB shoe (also 8D) and my old NB shoes are at least 1/4 inch wider. Was glad to find a neutral color, but just can't wear these.

Oh, how I wanted to love these shoes. They are so cute, simple and no frills, which is totally my style. I am also usually a big fan of New Balance. I have wide feet, so I ordered the wide width, and I ordered half a size up based on the reviews. I should have ordered a full size up. These shoes felt like a vice grip. And the wide part of the shoe squeezed the widest part of my foot, putting painful pressure right on that bone. Ouch. I wore them around a little, thinking surely they would stretch out, but no. After an hour I was in agony. And by that point it was too late, I could not return them. So, I actually had to look up how to stretch suede shoes and do that several times before they became bearable. Now that I have stretched them out considerably (by wearing several pairs of socks and applying heat from a blow dryer), I can wear them comfortably for most of the day before that pressure on the outside of my foot starts getting to me.

Love these but I have rheumatoid arthritis, which means bunions, rheumatoid nodules so even the wide was too narrow. Sorry to have to send them back, but thanks Zappos for the wonderful service!

I was so psyched to order the New Balance Classics W574 in the black and pink! I typically wear about a 11.5W in women's shoes but finally just started wearing 12. They usually fit better than 11.5W. Well, these were too snug even at a size 12! They are very cute though and I may try the 12W and see how they fit. If not, I'll just try another brand like Brooks. 5 stars for style but overall a 3 because they felt like they were strangling my feet...and my feet are only long and slender.

Nice looking shoe, great reviews, but did not work for me. Ordered a D width, but found it too narrow. I do have to wear orthotics. Will search for alternate shoe.

I ordered these in the same size as I do my NB gym shoes (9.5 W), but they do not feel wide at all. The shoe comes pretty high up the heel in the back, which I could tell would rub and chafe after walking a while in them. I like the look of them, but they fit awkward all around and are being returned.

The front of the shoes were fine. The heels are so wide and my feet wouldn't stay. I took to the shoe shop and they patched (heel patch?). Still the heels are too wide. I need the shoes wide in front but very narrow heels. Not very happy.

I tried these for the red color and classic style. But they were more pink than red. There was minimal cushioning and arch support. And, the absolute worst - a weird seam in the middle of the toe box that just made me crazy. No, thank you.

I ordered these in wide width. I need a wide toe box but a narrow heel from a shoe; this had the wide toe box, but the heel felt loose and slipped up and down a lot. Sadly, I'm going to have to return these.

I tried using innersoles and wearing thick socks with these shoes but I felt that I was was still swimming in them. I have rather narrow feet and soft spots. These shoes just didn't have the comfort and flexibility that I need in a shoe.

Right out of the box, I was disappointed to see that the Yacht Club Red is more orangey-pink than red. While the sole is substantial, it has 0% cushioning, which I disliked. Furthermore, where the mesh and leather meet at the toe, there is little triangle of mesh seam that hits right between my toes. Bleh!

I was looking for a good shoe, stylish in a quiet way, that I can use with my orthotics for walking. I like the looks of these (I got them in gray), and on first wearing, they seemed to fit the bill - or it seemed they would fit the bill with a little breaking in. But they have not loosened up the way I thought they would. They are tight across the top at the ball of the foot. The bottom of the part that laces up hits my foot right where it bends at the ball of the foot, and the shoe has stayed tight there. If I wear them for more than a short walk, they cause discomfort in the joint at the base of my big toe that persists for a day or so. Sadly, I didn't know the problem until I'd worn them outside so I can't return them. I've never had this problem with any other shoe.

I usually order an 8 to be on the safe side but the 7.5 fit perfectly. These shoes have a thick sole and that's why I ordered them because I am on my feet 32 hours a week working on concrete floors. For that purpose I am hoping that they will become more comfortable with time. My legs usually ache by the end of the day and I can't wait to take them off. I do get complements on the retro style and colors, but I would reccomend going for a shoe that performs as well as it looks and these are not it. You might have to sacrifice a bit of your personal style for the health of your feet and legs. But if you're just getting them for style purposes and are not going to be working in them hard core then order up.
