I had 2 pairs of these within 4 months and both times the sole separated from the shoe in short order. Zappo's took both back but after 2nd time I'm switching boots.

Comfortable boots, they just don't last though. This is the third pair of these I have had in the last three years. Very disappointed in the overall quality. Wont purchase again..

This is my second pair of Keen Mids. I selected these for the leather lace loops because fabric loops on previous pair wore through too quickly. Leather loops are better, so far, but after brief but heavy use (6 mile round trip Grand Canyon Bright Angel Trail) the fabric at the edges of the tongue, where it is sewn to the leather upper, began to fray and part. I LOVE my Keens; the fit, the comfort, the soles and especially the wide forefoot, but WHEN WILL KEEN master the technology of stitching and materials that hold together??? To reinforce the stitching and the fabric I applied a thin line of superglue to the stitching, which I expect will hold better even though a separation had started.

The heel of this shoe became unglued after just 6-7 months of use.
The glue for the sole sound have held up, but I think it may be a design flaw too.
I was expecting to get some nice hiking boots, but I doubt these would even hold up against a day hike in the mountain?

I'm interning in Arizona and needed a hiking boot that would be fairly rugged while not getting too hot. This boot sacrifices waterproofing for a mesh lining for breath-ability, which would be okay if that actually worked. After a couple of weeks these (extremely ugly) boots still leave my feet sore and very hot even in moderate temperatures. They'll soon be retired early as they're too ugly to wear with shorts, and I couldn't imagine wearing them in warm weather anyway.

This shoe began falling apart with 1 month. The entire sole is separting from the shoe. This is usually my husband's favorite brand, but not this time.
