Love this boot. I wear a 6 or 6.5 and have wide feet. Most of the time I just go straight to the kids' boots because they tend to run wide. I kind of exhausted all of those options this time though, and read another reviewer's comments about this particular boot that indicated this would be perfect for me. And it is. It runs true to size (as indicated in other reviews; I went with the 6.5) and wide. So comfortable. Another issue for me was that almost all other (hiking) boots come up too high in the back; for ankle support I guess, but uncomfortable for me. As I said, love this boot. Although it's a "B" width, it feels like a C or D to me, which is great. Others with narrow feet might find it too wide for them.

These shoes are awesome! I have wider feet and have always had a hard time with hiking boots. I also have ankles that roll easily. This shoe covers both of those issues. I wore them around the house one afternoon and the next to work (I need to walk a lot here in NYC) and had zero issues. Comfortable, no blisters, fab. The only part that will take some getting used to is the back part of the boot. It is rigid and slightly uncomfortable but keeps things stable. I am guessing that either my leg or the shoe will break in at some point soon!

I love these boots! I reluctantly retired my 5-year-old Keen trail shoes in anticipation of a trek to Machu Picchu. Haven't left for Peru yet, but have put many miles on the boots. They're comfy from the get-go, lightweight and feel more like shoes than boots. Nice and wide in the toe box for us bunion-sufferers. Love my Keens!

I am purchasing my second pair of this Keen Voyageur Mid. I purchased my first pair two years ago and they are just now wearing out. I work on concrete floors and walk 6-7 miles per day at work. These are super comfortable, arch support is just perfect for me and they last! They are a little wider than other shoes I have purchased, but that suits me very well. I have had to replace the laces, but the shoes have lasted and lasted.
I'd also recommend:
I wear both Merrell and Keen mids. Both are very comfortable and long lasting.

I originally bought a pair of these hiking shoes several years ago, and after many happy journeys and lots of hard use, finally wore them to shreds. I looked around at other brands and styles, but eventually just decided to order a second pair of these particular shoes, because they work so perfectly for my wide feet. Big toebox, lots of stability and ankle support, I feel like I'm wearing all-terrain tires when I hike in these bad boys. They aren't the cutest shoes on the trail, but I'm there to splash in creeks and climb hills, so that's fine.

I've used these boots 6 months now. They fit wide feet well. The breathable mesh upper is super for keeping feet cool when walking and working on hot days. Far superior to a Gortex liner which make my feet very hot. I've walked through streams and these drain well and dry out quickly. Also wore them through winter and feet stayed warm with a wool sock. Good ankle support and traction too. I prefer these to water proof boots. Sized up 1/2 size and they fit well.

Keen has been so frustrating of late. I bought this pair to replace the pair I have, yet this pair is too small. I've had similar problems with their workbooks.

Very comfortable, good quality shoe! Get half a size bigger if you plan to wear thick socks.

Excellent hiking shoe - I bought the Voyageur Mid as a warm-weather alternative to my Keen Targhee II Mid. I have a wide forefoot and very sensitive toes. Every new pair of shoes does require a bit of a break-in period for me, but after we get through that, these settle into being extremely comfortable, supportive, and reliable. I hike several miles daily with my dogs in the rocky hills of northwestern Connecticut, and both my Targhees and my Voyageurs handle the terrain easily. I'm happy to report that the too-short laces that have plagued the Targhee are not an issue with the Voyageurs. I bought a half size larger than my normal shoe size and they fit just right with mid-weight socks.

Usually do not write reviews, however; these boots were/are the BOMB!!! I purchased them a few days before a walking/hiking trip in Colorado & Yellowstone. I was afraid I waited too long to purchase boots before my trip but I was treated right by these Keen Voyageurs... NEVER a single blister, sore spot, nothing but pure comfort!! I wear an 11 and purchased an 11 and they were perfect. Not tight, but not too much wiggle room either, they were perfect. Plenty of toe room but fit great at the same time. I will absolutely purchase these again! And my husband (who never comments on my footware) said they were sooo cool because they had the light yellow trim to "girl" them up a little but not too much! 10 ******** :-)

Based on other reviews, I ordered 1/2 size larger. Perfect fit. The are light weight and appear to make my big feet seem much smaller. Haven't worn them outside yet, purchased for trekking in Greece.

These boots are foot-shaped. Wow! I know. The toe box is nice and wide, unlike any other brand of hiking boot I have ever seen. The toe box of the Voyageur is even a bit wider than that in the Keen Targhee. Breathable mesh inlay along both sides allows for excellent ventilation, but also means that these boots aren't waterproof. The ankle support is a bit stiff (why does no one make boots with room for our ankle knobbies on each side?) but I expect that some cushioned socks will help the pressure there.

Love the look of these boots!
These boots look really tough, and they are pretty comfortable. They seem like they will give my ankle a lot of support hiking. Previously ordered my normal shoe size and they were too small. Order a 1/2 size bigger than normal.

Keen's Voyageur Mid -
This shoe is absolutely wonderful! I need good arch support, a shoe that provides support for pronation and heel spurs. This shoe/boot works great for me. Great for winter, hiking or if you have as much foot pain as I do, this is great for going anywhere. Initially, I thought the Keen shoes were kind of odd looking but once you wear them with jeans, they actually look cute and they have grown on me. I love the added toe protection too. Some may think they look silly but hey, for those of us with a lot of foot trouble these are a real blessing. My foot and ankle doctor approved of them as well. I have tried Mephisto’s, New Balance, Nike, Etonic plus numerous others and nothing has relieved the pain for me like the Keens have. It feels so good to be able to go shopping again, walking again, do all the things I used to enjoy prior to chronic foot pain. I did go a half size up from my normal size with all Keens that I have purchased. Keens please don't change a thing. Zappos you rock don't change a thing.

I have tried them all, Keen is the best! For fashion boots so far I love Born!

I left one star for 'Overall' because I've found these boots to actually be dangerous and I will have to alter them. The hooks at the top of the boot (on the inside of the boot) catch on my laces as well as the other shoe while I'm walking. I came close to face-planting a number of times and finally did trip and fall to the ground this morning while walking my dog. I started knotting my laces over and over so there would be no loop to catch on the hooks but it only confirmed that it's not only the laces that are catching on the hooks. Today one boot caught on the hook of the other and I fell to the ground. I consider myself lucky each time I don't trip near a ledge on the trail or near a busy city intersection, I live in downtown DC. I love these boots otherwise and am going to try to remove the hooks. This means the boots won't lace all the way up which isn't ideal for some hiking. I've been buying the Keen Voyageur for 10+ years but this is my first high-top pair. I'll go back to the low-tops after these (hopefully Keen goes back to some good color options). I'll also reach out to Keen. These boots should be recalled in my opinion.

At age 72, with bunions, a hammer toe and flat feet, will there ever be a totally comfortable hiking boot? Answer: this boot is close! I have worn Keens for years but decided to try another brand to see about comfort. I ordered and tried Obiz, Merrill, Solomon...but I came back to my original Keen Voyager MId. This time, I had to get a full size bigger (I usually wear a women's 7 but bought an 8 because Keen's seem to be getting shorter and the hike down hill can kill the toes. The 8 fits and although they seem big when I look down, they are not too big and I wore them on an 8 mile hike right out of the box. No need for a wide size. Feet are happy.

These are really comfortable boots. The toe box is really roomy which is important for me (I have hammer toes). The one thing is that I wish my foot didn’t slide as much in them, but that might be something I can address with different socks. They look great too!

I am in agreement with the other reviewers, these boots were a perfect fit the minute I put them on. Have worn them on several short hikes and despite having “fussy feet”, these have been amazingly comfortable! Mice wide toe bed , good support for arches and ankles. Wore them in a few inches of snow and my feet were warm and dry! Decent traction also. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Heading out to Arizona for some mild hiking now that I’ve broken them in here at home in Berkshire County Massachusetts. I never write reviews but felt motivated to review these boots as I have had a lot of difficulty finding a comfortable boot. Also noteworthy, Zappos’ return policy is very accommodating UNLIKE the Walking Company where I had to pay $14 in return shipping. Buyers Beware!

I love Keens and this hiking boot (new style for me) is no exception. As comfortable as a running shoe but with great additional arch and ankle support. I also love the wide toe bed - so unlike other hikers I've owned. Very true to size and actually a bit stylish. Plus, Zappos price on these is great and delivery was fast (as usual).

Loved these boots. Comfortable the first time I wore them. Wearing fairly thin socks, I wore the same size as usual with any closed toe shoe.

I wear an 8 -I ordered a 1/2 size up for my liking -get your size if you don’t like the extra room. They have lots of toe room for those who have wide feet. Super comfortable and foot bed will not disappoint you. I am very satisfied and love my shoes.

I ordered a half size up based on other reviews. The boots definitely feel roomier than other shoes/boots I have, but I wear them with thick socks, and they are comfortable. I am glad I went up half a size; better to have a little extra space than to suffer a too-snug fit. The boots are definitely workhorses! I think they are attractive and don't make my feet look huge (10.5). Attached is a picture that shoes the SmartWool socks I wear with these boots.

Because I’m using these for extreme hiking I ordered a half size larger to accommodate a bit more room in the toe box area for downhill trekking and eliminate potential toenail damage. This isn’t my first pair of KEENs. They never disappoint. They always fit right out of the box. I especially like the solid/stiffer arch support over the “M” brand. There is never a break-in period, which is always nice. I wear mine year round throughout COLORADO and ARIZONA. They’re dry when they need to be, vent appropriately while giving me excellent ankle support.

I wear these shoes hiking everywhere here in Colorado. They grip the rocks very well and prevent me from slipping and falling. They are waterproof, vented for comfort, have good ankle support and wear very well. I have had several pairs of these shoes and will continue to buy them as long as I hike. I love Keens!
