Its a nice boot. I have had it for a few days. The sole of the boot is already getting flattened. I just expect better quality from such a well known company. Very stylish though, light weight and breaths well. Don't take this boot hiking or it will be the last time you use it. Very disappointed with the quality.

They came in way to big- returned them because I knew they would have taken forever to break in. Seemed like too many pieces to make a solid boot

Bought October 2016 as a replacement for DM 2296 Wellingtons I got from Zappos in January 2012. These did not feel right. They rubbed my feet in such a way that it reminded me of wearing dress shoes for too long. I tried changing different socks, tried waiting to see if they grew on me, and in the end I found myself wearing my old boots that I bought these to replace, which I think is the ultimate real vote for me. I finally am going to admit defeat and return them. This was my first attempt at timberland boots in many years, so it is possible I had the sizing wrong, or possibly it was just not a good match for me personally.

Great-looking boot. Fit is a bit big but, that's OK if you go down a half size from normal. Lace holes lead straight into the boot. Would be better if the tongue was attached all the way up inside. As they are currently made, water and sand etc can easily get inside the boot through the lace holes. Also, the sole on the right boot from my first pair started to separate after only 2 months wear. Pricey brand like timberland should pay more attention to these things. Great for the fashionista...not great on durability or practicality.

They are made with different material than they were a few years back. The picture suggests they are made the same as when they first came out, although it's pretty easy to tell if you have the cheaper made model. Inside the boot the "Earthkeeper" logo should be half blue. If it's all white you know you got a new/cheaper made model. Unfortunately when a boot sells well for Timberland they bring it back and make it cheaper to increase margins. Very frustrating and the Timberland didn't help much to find the boot i was looking for.

I bought these boots based on the fact that I loved the color shown in the picture, and the fact that I owned a pair of Timberland 6" Premium boots that lasted for years and I loved them. Unfortunately, I returned these boots for two reasons. Number one being that the actual color of the boots does not look like the picture at all, and is no where near as good looking in my opinion, and number two they did not feel like they were constructed the same way as my older boots. I'm not sure if I was imagining it, but the boots felt lighter, and of lower quality. They also have a cheap feeling mesh like inner liner, whereas my old timberlands, as well as a custom pair that I own, are lined with leather. Considering that these boots are at the same price point, I'm not sure why they are constructed with cheaper materials. If I could have bought these boots at a lower price I probably would have kept them, but at close to 200 dollars they just didn't seem like they would have the longevity to make the purchase worth it.

This is the second pair I've owned. I'll list the good and bad. THE GOOD: Very comfortable, fit well, and look very nice. That's why I bought another pair after my first pair wore out. Not the Timberland of old. THE BAD: The sole will not last, especially if you wear them daily. These are not work boots. They simply don't last a year. My soles became separated, and squeaked loudly with every step. The tread will wear off in less than a year of normal wear. I like them, but I wish they lasted longer.

These are looking boots, and I've had good experiences with Timberland in the past. However, I've been disappointed about how these boots have held up over time. The soles wore down very quickly, and the overall weatherproofing doesn't seem to be as good as I've had with other boots by this manufacturer - even with repeated waterproofing and general leather care. I was hoping to get a boot that would hold up well to Chicago winters, and I'll likely need to purchase a new pair this fall.

Very nice and comfy boot that my husband really loved. After a few months of light to moderate use however, the sole just came apart, which is pretty unacceptable for this brand and this price point. Thankfully, Zappos customer service was able to resolve the situation. But still buyer beware and def do not purchase from another retailer because you could be stuck with these boots, especially if you plan on doing anything but light walking.

These shoes are very cheaply made. The leather is very thin, and while comfortable, is subject to tearing easily. I've torn the tongue on both of them. The leather doesn't give at all and shows creases from wear. You need to oil them and use shoe-trees to prevent this from becoming noticeable. As much as I wanted to like these boots, I don't. I've worn them less than 20 times and they require a lot more care than I'd expect in a newer shoe. On the plus side they are comfortable and look very cool. Also, they run "very" long. I'd suggest getting a full size smaller than you're used to.

Son likes the boots but they are not waterproof as described, wore them in the snow yesterday and feet were soaking wet. Very disappointed, the description shouldn't say waterproof.

I would have given these boots five stars across the board but after two months of wear, the soles on the front of both boots is separating and I cannot believe that they will last very long. It is disappointing because I had been waiting to find boots that worked for so many occasions.

Comfortable, stylish. However, the soles are garbage, wore through them in about 4 months. Not worth the price tag.

I wear a size 15 shoe. Shoe designers tend to elongate the shank of larger shoes without redesigning the overall structure. This results in a floppy puckering shapeless blanket of a mid section adding to the stereotypical "clown shoe" look in some larger shoes. I purchased a 14 in this model after reading in the reviews as to how it runs large. I found I needed a larger size and got the 15. There was a noticeable difference in the shape and structure of the shoes from the 14 to the 15. I then compared my 15 to my roommate's size 12. It was obvious that no redesign went into the larger shoe, simply exaggeration of certain areas. If you have a smaller foot, this is a very fashionable boot. If you are buying on aesthetics and have a larger foot, avoid this shoe.

I bought these shoes in a store. The only problem I had with this shoe is that they are not waterproof. At least the ones I got. Walking in the slush of NYC, I found it really annoying to have my feet wet after spending so much on this shoe. Thank god it didn't snow last year. I need to get a new pair for this year.

Zappos sent me the wrong boot... The box was correct, but when I opened it, there was a completely different pair of boots inside. Very strange.

Got a pair and within 2 months they started falling apart. No excessive wear, never got wet, just normal use. Worked with the warranty department and got another pairthey are falling apart too. Stitching in the leather is just coming undone. It happened on both pairs.

I have bought this style 3 times and every time the soles came apart which is beyond disappointing. Only would wear to go out. Paid over $160 per pair and they didn't last a year each.

Boots run big that was ok. Love the look and they are super comfortable. Problem is they started falling apart after a couple months. Stitching coming apart and sole detaching

Great boots for dress purposes only! I wore them for one round (18 holes) of disc golf in damp weather and those soles began to fall off immediately. Fake sown soles and the outermost layer just starts separating. This was the second time that I ever wore them. If you take them off with too much effort, the bottom will rip off. Wear them for fancy situations only and be gentle. They look great but do not hold up outdoors so well. Have ShoeGoo and super glue ready. Rip off. Buy different boots. Step it up Timberland.

I loved the way they looked. I never got to try them on or wear them because both pairs I received were scuffed up and ended up receiving a refund instead of another replacement pair.

I'm in the process of buying new boots. I had a pair of these boots & I loved the look! However, the heel fell off the boots. I thought I may have received a bad pair. Looking again at this boot and I'm disappointed to see the problem seems to be systemic and still happening.

Color is WAYYYY off from the pictures even though they're labeled correctly. This is my third pair and the first time having this issue and it looks like I'm not alone. Disappointed in Timberland
