Lightweight walking shoe - Good fitting shoe stays fresher looking than the typical white.

Great horse-shoe shoe - I needed a tennis shoe that looked more like a riding shoe in order to run along-side my horse in the show ring. These shoes are GREAT! Comfortable, well-built, great support and still very light-weight. Perfect for my needs. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid walking/hiking shoe without the added weight/bulk of "hikers".

Great fit and comfort - I have wide, flat feet and use orthotics. These shoes feel and fit wonderfully without looking like "big, fat, wide, white sneakers". Comfort right out of the box. Worth every penny!

Excellent shoes - Love these shoes, very comfortable from beginning to end. As part of a SAR team, this is imperative. I do wish I had ordered my size rather than 1/2 size larger as some reviews suggested, but with heaver socks they still work.

Roomy Toe Box - I like these so much I'm buying a second pair. The toe box is roomy enough that it keeps me from getting ingrown nails. I wear an orthotic for high arches and there's enough room in the shoe to slip the orthotic under the liner. The color is a dark woodland green and the tonal variations are subtle. The shoes work well with fall colors and jeans.

Shoe shopper - These are the first shoes I don't want to take off as soon as I am through walking. I continue to wear them around the house after visiting a theme park or wearing them at work all day. They probably look a little like hiking boots and I wouldn't wear them with dressy slacks, but the older I get, comfort comes before style!

Comfy after a short break-in period. I have difficult, ouchy feet, so finding shoes that fit is a miserable experience. Or was, until I found wonderful Zappos! Anyway, I like that these sneaks look like hiking shoes. And amazingly make my 9Wide feet look smaller. They have good traction on the soles. The wide fits my feet pretty well (just a little slippage in the heel, but not bothersome). I was hoping to be able to wear heavy socks with these, but they're a little too snug. I've been wearing them around town and found that after the first day or so they are comfortable.

My trail walking shoes - I love, love, love these shoes and they have made a big difference in comfort to my feet. Soon I will be ordering more New Balance, a white athletic shoe for summer. But for now, I am so glad I ordered these as I walk a lot every day, for exercise. Years ago, my podiatrist advised me to wear New Balance and he was right! The padding and support make a big difference in the way my feet feel!

Leather Upper Equals Good looking Comfort - This is a nice looking, comfortable shoe that doesn't scream "sneaker!" This model is carried elsewhere, and the recommendation was that it ran small and to order up one size. I did this when I placed my order at Zappos, and the shoe fits well. The sole is stable and wide, with a deep tread, providing solid footing on wet or snowy days. The dark brown color makes my feet (size 11) much less noticeable, and I'm very pleased about that! The shoes look great for everyday wear, but are sturdy enough for serious walking. I love 'em.

This is one of the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever purchased. When I ordered the shoes I was amazed at how fast Zappos processed my order and delivered them to me. Thank you Zappos!

740 series walking shoes are tops - These, as the others in 740 series of walking shoes, have good support and are great for heavy-duty city walking. I usually wear size 8.5 AA, but I've always needed to get 9 AA in this series of New Balance shoes. Size 9 feels like 8.5 in my opinion. I use full length custom orthotics, so I remove inner sole and replace with orthotics and I'm all set to go. The dark brown is fabulous compared to previous versions in various shades of tan/beige/light brown.

These are nice - I now have these in two colors. Great as a loafer with jeans. Not particularly hip, but comfortable and much better as a look than white sneakers. It seems they run wide as I would usually wear a wide and have a regular B width in these. Very comfortable, even for a brisk walk of a couple of miles. I am spoiled by my Birkenstock sandals and have had a hard time finding something that will meet my high expectations, but these have been very good.

Comfortable, good support - Comfortable with good support for walking. Size felt true to other New Balance shoes I own. The green color is slightly different in person than the picture.

Super fast shipment - I got these for work where I am always walking on a cement floor. I was looking for a wider shoe with excellent support. This shoe definitely has excellent support. It also is very nice looking. I don't think it feels true to width though. It feels like medium width in that area. A tad narrow in the "ball of foot area" and it pinches a little. Hopefully they will break in soon. Thank you for the super fast delivery!! I wasn't expecting them for another 2 days!!

Great working shoe also - New Balance has always been my shoe of choice. My orthotics fit great in them.

Feels like you're barefoot! No beauty, but wonderful on the feet! I have wide feet and bunions and was on my feet all day doing volunteer work in MS and never was aware of my feet! Worth the price in comfort. Based on other reviews I ordered a half size larger than my normal size and they are perfect. Great Zappos service too when shoes were delivered to my neighbor. Zappos called to check that they had been found.

comfy shoe - went walking with this shoe right out of the box. I wear a 11 Narrow, with a medium weight sock these shoes were just right, and are long enough to allow for the sock.

Walking in comfort! I just love these sneakers! So comfortable; I can't believe it. I'll definitely be buying this brand again when I need lighter sneakers this spring and summer.

Very pleased - I ordered another NB style in 12N and it was way too short. These were the right length and width and look more stylish than running shoes.

Love them - I wear a 9 1/2 N, but ordered New balance in 10 N as they seem short. These fit great and are comfortable. Good looking with jeans. LOVE ZAPPOS!

Great Shoes! These shoes are just great! I have problem feet, plantar tenderness, these feel good. I also have a large foot for a woman. I bought these in size 11. This is always a problem for me. I opt for comfort but often that means a really large profile. This is the best looking casual shoe I have ever had the good fortune to own. When I pull the others out of the box to try on I feel like crying. They are enormous, with the huge soles sticking out at the sides, bands of color slashing across. I know the wide soles are supposed to add stability but am not running track I don’t think I need all that. What I need is the thickness on the bottom where it belongs. I also buy the narrow size. Why can't I get that in a narrow shoe? These fit a narrow foot fairly well with a narrow heel that is at least better than the other brands and styles even by this company. The Brooks S257 the best narrow fit with a nice narrow heel. This is my second pair of this shoe and I will order another in another color. Thanks.

WOW, what comfort! What can I say...I am a senior citizen and usually my feet always hurt, but not with these WW749s. When you come across shoes like these, that make your feet feel good, it is a happy day.

Excellent shoe. Now *THIS* is a walking shoe. I'm used to cross trainers for walking and will never go back to them again. With these shoes, there's a bounce in my step and everything is aligned properly with excellent support.

Great Shoe - This is a great shoe. Very comfortable and good construction. I have been looking for a good pair of athletic shoes that were not white or black - these are perfect. The only thing I would point out is that if you plan to wear this shoe without socks, you will want to know that the top eyelet has a sizeable rectangular piece of metal underneath the eyelet that is not fully covered by the padded tongue when the shoe is laced up. I found this irritating to the skin but since I will always wear padded socks this is not an issue for me.

Comfort, comfort, comfort - I love New Balance shoes and these are no exception. From the minute I put them on, I found they were comfortable. I need to wear orthotics and have wide feet. Perfect. I also like the looks of this shoe. You can wear them with casual pants or jeans. I love Zappos and will continue to buy from here with confidence!
